Rep Power: 4 | | I know for sure there are foxes around the path I took as i've been there before when I used to cycle to work down there, but for some reason, they have a habit of chasing me and i'm not quite as spry as I once was. I do miss being able to run though. Maybe after another stone lost i'll be able to run again, but I simply can't do it, no matter how much I try, while i'm this size.
As for the bread, it's actually quite nice. It's not as big as your normal bread but it's not THAT much smaller, probably 80% the size. It tastes great, though, and its great knowing that then you eat sandwiches, you're eating only half the calories you normally would do and the taste is just as great.
I watched a show called '10 things you should know about losing weight' last night, it was pretty interesting. Apparently you burn fat up to 24 hours AFTER you've been exercising. That certainly gives you extra incentive to get out there. I'm actually looking forward to go for a walk shortly.
I thought i'd walk down that nature walk for 45 minutes and then walk back 45 minutes, giving me an hour and a half walk. The thing that worries me is that I bet I can walk very, very far in that 45 minutes and might not make it back! When I go walking, I walk at a very brisk pace, not the sort of pace you walk at when you're talking to a friend as you walk, but the sort of speed you walk at when you're in town and you have to get back from your lunch break very very quickly as you walk through the town centre.
That should probably give you an idea of how far I could walk in 45 minutes..
By the way, did anybody else catch that show? It was very informative.

I haven't seen that show you were talking about, but I'm going to youtube it.
good luck! |

Rep Power: 4 | | | It's on BBC's IPlayer, if you get that over the pond. It's definately worth a watch.
The 1.5 hour walk didn't exactly go as planned! I went 20 minutes before the heat got a little too much for me. So I walked briskly for 40 minutes and did a little bit of jogging, to see if I could yet. I managed 30 yards (sadly, a personal best for the last few years) before my heart felt like it had a strain on it.
I think i'll try and jog an extra five yards every day, unless that's just a waste of time.
Drenched in sweat, I'm home and tucking into scrambled egg on toast, the first time i've ever had it.
Hope it's a good thing to eat, not sure about eggs as i've heard different things. |

Even tough you didn't quite reach your goal, you attempted, and thats all that matters. You did more than I could do though =P
The difference between try and triumph is a little umph. haha. |

Rep Power: 4 | | | Todays food:
Half a can of beans on two slices of weightwatchers toast
One large egg'd scrambled egg on one slice of weightwatchers toast
Two homemade cobs (rolls) that my mum made and I didn't want to disappoint her by not eating them (heh)
Smallish portion of chips and two sausage cobs. (haha)
I hope i've not eaten too much. Good walking exercising earlier too. Hopefully its a good day but I feel SO full up.

Rep Power: 4 | | I'm so damn proud of myself. I'm not just writing this here to get a pat on the back from people or to hear something nice.. I'm saying this because for once in my life, i'm proud of myself. I'm really not the sort of person to ever, ever say something good about myself. I have tremendously low self-esteem. So right now, I can finally say.. I've done something I'm very proud of.
That feels awesome to say. All the exercising, all the good food i've been eating, all the sweat and even some of the tears.
I've actually done something, i've made a good start.
I've officially hit the one stone mark. And an extra pound. I've now dropped 15lbs since this started on May 1st.
I have a feeling i've not lost the extra pound as I think i've fluctuated a little, but i've definately passed the one stone mark. I didn't think i'd do it, but in a way, i'm glad that i've not got a job at this particular moment, because i've been allowed the time to go and walk and take it how I want to. Today is a fine example of it, I left my house and had a quick walk for 20 minutes, already dripping in sweat by that mark, and went the same pace home for 20 minutes. I felt dead.
But I felt happy.
I will never gloat again, because it's simply not the sort of person I am.
But damn it, I'm so happy with my progress this far. |

Anyway, weighed myself today and I'm still at 18.7.4 stone, same as I was yesterday. |

Rep Power: 4 | | I have uploaded photos for some reason. There is one from 'before' my dieting began.
It also has my lovely long hair. Oh, how I miss it.
There is a point to this post. I was reading about burning calories through exercise when I began to think about something else.
There's a 'safe mark' for number of calories you should eat. Obviously if you eat below that it's a bad thing.
Now, what if I ate, say, 1600 calories one day but burned off 500?
Would I only be eating 1100 calories and therefore be doing it wrong? |

Rep Power: 4 | | Today was great, killed myself in my job. Made even more bad by the fact it was throwing it down with gorgeous hot sun. Even more so that I don't even get paid for this job.
My lunch break, I went to the pub I went to all the time last year and had my old favourite: Burger and chips.
I'll tell you what, when you don't have something you love for ages, you sure do taste the beautiful taste.
Weighed myself today, still standing exactly 18.7.4lbs, so I haven't moved 0.1lbs in the last two days. I'm hoping i'm eating right. I feel like I am eating right but it seems like I hardly ever eat. Quote:

Rep Power: 7 | | LOL for enjoying those treats ... now that they ARE treats and not everyday foods.
AS for the calorie question, no I am pretty sure what you eat calorie wise is counted seperately to what you burn.. so if you eat 1600 and burn 500 the 500 should come off your stored fat.. not off your current eating... at least that is my understanding... but for a far more definative answer, ask the question in the Nutrition forum. |

Rep Power: 4 | | | Thanks Kori, i've asked. I'm a little worried about this now. I've lost 15lbs in less than one month, which is obviously too much. I'm doing things the right way. Eating very healthy and exercising a lot.
Surely eating healthy and exercising can't be my downfall.
..Can it? |

| | | Do you only eat 1600 cals per day? I don't know how much exactly that you're supposed to be eating, but I do know that for someone of your size that isn't enough. I am *supposed* to be eating 1600, PERIOD. From what is a maintaining 1900-2000 cal per day. I have been undereating. Which will slow things down for me, I have tried to up my eating. But of course it all depends on how much energy you're using. I am still learning about this for the most part. I am still playing around with mine right now.
Anyways good for you on the 15 lb drop!!! |

Rep Power: 4 | | Thanks, I was really happy about getting past the one stone mark, but now i'm quite worried as i've spent a lot of time reading up about weight coming back if you lose it too quickly.
This post explains my current eating habits and my concerns: My post in the nutrients folder
Hope I get some feedback as i'm quite worried. I don't want to eat more. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
