There are beads on the back of the ears that fight off hunger and stop the body from going into starvation mode (??). Accroding to the participants on the mailing list, with the exception of the first week, most lose the same amount of weight all the way through. So it may be true. This is only my first week and TOM is ruining the weightloss for me but we'll see next week how much I drop.
The beads on the back of the ears are considered accupressure and your supposed to rotate them every 2 hours and do some breathing exercises which I can tell you really do stop any hunger. It's pretty amazing.
We eat milk/yogurt and fruits/veggies on alternating days. And LOADS of water.
What really got my confidence was that people from ages 18-70 on the program go down to sizes 4-6 without any excess skin! So it has to be mostly fat that is lost.
We'll see and I will be reporting back. |

Rep Power: 46 | | | So how did you manage on the fruits and veggies yesterday? I'm trying a modified version of that, eating limited animal protein and trying to eat mostly fruits, veggies and nuts. I have some yummy raw almond butter (with no added ingredients) that tastes good on an apple which was very filling, plus I had an avocado and some cheese. Hopefully I'll get used to this and need less fats. Did you find yourself hungry without any fats? |

Rep Power: 6 | | Almond butter --> YUM!
Yesterday was my milk/yogurt day and I didn't have one cheat! it's pretty much smooth riding from now on since all the sugar, starch, and chemicals are out of my system.
Fats: i do have fats on the diet in the whole milk & yogurt. Also we can have avocados but i haven't yet. also, don't forget veggies DO have fats in them just a minuscule amount,
After this basic portion of the program-- which by the way i don't recommend anyone doing alone as it is low in calories and can be very dangerous (if you'd like more info go to: accuweight.com <-- this is the only legit site.. there are tons of copy cats out there that are just ridicuous) --- is transition which is about 6 weeks and will probably be the base of my maintenace so i don't ever get fat EVER again.. here it is:
2 fruits (about 2 cups)
1.5 pounds veggies weighed raw/uncooked
5-7 ounces of protein (chicken or fish are best)
and probably throw in other things to meet caloric quota and nutrional needs |

Rep Power: 5 | | Hi!
I want to know how you burn 500-something calories per workout! That's cool! I seem to workout all day and all I get is around 300 (if I remember correctly)

Rep Power: 6 | | I use this to kick my butt into shape: Amazon.com: The Firm TransFIRMer: Sports & Outdoors
But don't forget you weigh considerably less than I do so you will burn less calories. I also use the Polar heart rate monitor to track calories burned. I can't wait to get the pedometer you told me about to really whip myself into shape!
so far it's shaping my body even with all this fat on it and it's only been 2 weeks. I used to walk and then after trying this, walking is just a waste of 30 minutes. |
