It is a good idea to do a little more strength work, 2-3 times a week (full body) to help maintain your lean muscle while your loosing the fat through a calorie deficit.

Ran 3 miles tonight (1 elliptical, 1 treadmill, then another elliptical).

I think I went over my calorie allotment today though by a couple hundred cals. >.<

I chose today as my day to rest and did not go to the gym. I'll be up extra early in the morning though to go. My first time going in the morning instead of night.

I also did my weigh-in this morning, and I've only lost 1/2 pound all week... The only thing I can think of is my weight for last week was totally off due to not drinking enough water or something.

Either that or I'm gaining just as much muscle in my legs for all this running that I'm not used to. (Is that even possible? lol)

Any who, now down to 222.5. Still on target (actually perfect) for reaching my goal by January.

Ran 2.5 miles this morning. Did 1.25 on the elliptical, 0.75 on treadmill, and another 0.5 on the elliptical.

Not sure if I'm going to go again tonight. Probably not, but if I feel like it I will.

Did not go to the gym on Tuesday or Wednesday. Wednesday was my 21st birthday so I worked all day both days then went out celebrating. Saturday should be the same, but I don't have work so I will go during the day.

Any who, I went to the gym today and ran 3 miles- 1 elliptical, 1 treadmill, and another treadmill.

5 1/2 miles today!

I went to the gym around 5PM to help push through the hangover from my birthday weekend. Did 0.5 on the treadmill, then 1 on the elliptical. Then I went about around 10PM and walked/lightly jogged 3 miles on the treadmill and 1 on the elliptical.

I'm really impressed with how regular you are about going to the gym and sticking to your calorie goals.
I scoped out your pictures too, and I can definitely see the difference from 240 lbs to now, in your belly as well as your face.
I hope things keep going this well for you! It is inspiring. I'm going to keep checking in to keep myself motivated by how well you do!

@Kaiser: Thank you Rachel! That really means a lot to me.

I had to punch a new hole in my work belt because I refuse to get a new one. It's one more thing to remind me how much I've lost. I used to be on the second to last hole at one time, 3 inches away from the new one that I punched.

I ran a 5k tonight in 44 minutes 56 seconds then cooled down with 1 mile on the elliptical that took about 15 minutes. Now I have a blister on my foot since my sock had a hole in it.

Did a slow and steady 2 miles on the elliptical today.

Went over my calories for the day in order to better celebrate a coworker's birthday. It was worth it though.

I went to the gym for about 40 minutes tonight. Had it all to myself, so I basically just went around to every machine and did a little bit of everything.

A big chunk was focused on the chest press and bicep curl though. Also did a quick half mile on the elliptical in between all of this.

Jogged 2 miles on the treadmill for 30 minutes, then 1 mile on the elliptical for about 13 minutes tonight.

I started on the treadmill tonight, got about 1/4 of a mile in and all of a sudden I feel my left calf sort of pop. Seems like it might just be a minor calf strain. Pushed through the discomfort and finished up 1.75 miles on the elliptical afterward.

Hoping my leg feels better in the next few days (tomorrow would be great).
