anyway, I think it'd be good for you to buy one outfit that fits really well right now, its so motivational to be feeling good about how you look....or if you wait then the biiig shopping trip at the end would be very cool too
Ana | Thanks Ana,
I think that's a great idea about swapping clothes but it would be hard to organize. This time around I'm going to save all my bigger clothes because I plan to have some babies one day and will need some maternity clothes - so for now they are going in plastic bins and stored in the garage.
I think after this week I might go and buy a nice outfit for work - I deserve it!
Otherwise I will have a big shopping spree once I get to goal! Can't wait for that! |

Rep Power: 41 | | Weekend was successful - sortof
My fiance found out Friday at noon that he had to go out of town for work all weekend so that really sucked. It was rainy, cold and miserable all weekend so I rented some movies and kept it low key.
I forgot my food journal at home so I can't tell you exactly what I had but to sum it up - Friday & Saturday were very good, only 1 glass of red wine Friday and no bad snacks. I took Saturday off from exercise to give my body a rest and then Sunday morning I did an hour spin class and 30 min of laps in the pool - was feeling great. I was going to get groceries because my fridge was empty but I decided I would have soup for dinner Sunday night and then get groceries Monday but when I went to get soup we were all out and I wasn't sure what to make so I ended up snacking all evening! Triscuts & cheese, triscuts & jam, 1 point bars times 4!, fiance's granola bars - not healthy, covered in chocolate, cereal and what else, probably more. So Sunday night was once again not good and I have another bad stomach ache today. I'm not going to stress because I know that by Wednesday at noon I can get back on track and still be down. I was going to start wearing my pedometer again today but forgot that too. I couldn't get out of bed this morning and I know it's partly because of all the junk I had in my system making me feel sluggish. Hopefully my aerobics tonight will burn off some of those snacks!
Time to check on how everyone else made out. |

Rep Power: 36 | | Good job on keeping up with the work outs- especially swimming! That is a great workout. I'm jealous you can keep up for 30 minutes! I'm worn out after 5!! Mostly because my asthma kicks in LOL but I'm also a TERRIBLE swimmer! Keeps ya strong tho Also nice job with eating on the weekend... isn't it getting easier to drink less? I would gulp down 7 beers no problem and I could barley handle one and a half this weekend! Crazy! The Sunday night snack down sounded like fun! lol As you read in my diary I had my own little binge too but it's OK just as long as it doesn't turn to habit! You are doing great, keep it up!!! |

Rep Power: 41 | | Monday is over and I'm back on track. I love the work weeks lately because I'm in such a routine and nothing can stop me. I just wish I liked my job more and didn't sit on my butt so much during the day.
I remembered my food journal so here is how the weekend went:
Friday 10/02
Exercise - Woke up and exercised before work - 30 min biggest loser cardio max dvd
B- ff activia yogurt w all bran buds
L- instant oatmeal w 1 cup blueberries
D - Boston Pizza - went online ahead of time to figure what would be best to order for low WW points. I ordered 1/2 whole wheat linguini w chicken & peppers, can't remember what the name of it was but it was so good and only 10 points. I had a glass of red wine too - probably 6 oz's.
Snack - Decaf green tea, 2 one point bars.
Skipped my aerobics class because I found out my fiance was going out of town so we decided to go for dinner before he left.
Saturday 10/03
B - ff activia yogurt w all bran buds
L - curves peanut butter bar, 100 cal pack craisins, 1 point choc mint bar
D - 4 oz orange chicken baked, whole wheat spagetti w peppers & pkg'd alfredo sauce, home made coleslaw, beats from my parents garden.
Snack - 2 choc mint one point bars, 5 whole wheat triscuts & strawberry jam
No exercise today - my body needed a break.
Sunday 10/04
B - curves peanut butter bar
Exercise - 1 hr spinning class - 45 min on bike, 15 min abs, stretch, strength. 30min swimming laps in the pool - 17 laps in total! This felt so great! I love swimming!
L - big salad - orange & red peppers, sweet onion, green onion, shredded broccoli, tomatos, 1 can tuna in water, 2 tsp olive oil, balsamic vinegar
Snack - 2 one point choc mint bars decaf green tea
D - crappy - 1 glass clamato juice, granola bars - covered in choc., cereal w blueberries, yogurt & all bran, triscuts & jam, cheese slice.
Not so good eating wise but really good exercise wise!
Monday 10/05
B- instant oatmeal w 1 cup blueberries
L - tomato & cucumber salad w red onion and ff tomato oregano dressing
Snack - 1/2 pack 100 cal craisins
Exercise - 1 hr aerobics class - intervals of hand weights (5 lbs) and step 35 min, 25 min abs, strength & stretch. Good class - it went by quick doing intervals.
D - 1 can tomato & rice soup
Snack - 2 one point choc mint bars, 1 cup green grapes
I really need to get groceries!
My sister and her friend joined WW too so I have some more people to swap tips with. Loving the motivation and continued support of everyone!! time to catch up on some journals from the weekend and see how everyone else made out. Work has been busy so I haven't been visiting as much as I would like. Hope everyone is doing good and keeping active! I have a long weekend coming up and I can't wait!! time to do some celebrating from all this hard work! |

Rep Power: 41 | | | Another good weigh-in! I was down 1.6 pounds today for a total of 16 pounds! Feeling pretty great. I'm wearing the size 10 skirt I bougtht for $10 too and that feels extra great! Hopefully I can keep it up during Thanksgiving this weekend. I'm so looking forward to the long weekend.
Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences with taking fish oils? I have been told by a few ladies that I should take them for weight loss. I have read that sometimes you taste fish after or burp it up and I don't think I would like that but if it's something I should be taking that might help then maybe I will consider it. Any thoughts?
Yesterday was a good day, here's how it looked:
B - raspberry yogurt w all bran buds
Snack - 3 cups mint green tea
L - garden salad with ff tomato & oregano dressing
Snack - curves peanut butter bar (100cal, 4 grams fibre)
Exercise - 1 hr spinning class, 50 min bike, 10 min abs & stretch
D - 1 whole egg, 1/2 cup egg whites, 1 left over veggie burger, sweet onion, red pepper & ketchup, little bit of spray pan.
Snack - decaf green tea, 4 roma tomatos w salt & pepper, curves peanut butter bar
Total steps 10073.
I was under my points but trying to end the week good before weigh-in. I have lots coming up this weekend and lots of temptations so I am going to finish the week strong and work out lots over the weekend so I at least don't gain but I don't anticipate a loss. I'm just happy right now with 16 and will keep pushing! |

I took fish oil for a little while but got fishy burps eeew! So now I try to have fish in my food. I try to have salmon sushi of tinned fish on a salad about 3 times a week. Its really filling low fat protein. yum
Sounds like you did really well on the weekend.

Rep Power: 14 | | | Interesting fact about fish oil. I used to take fish oil as a kid and remember the fishy burbs all too well. I understand fish oils are good for you, but would love to learn more frm those who have had first hand experience as well.

Rep Power: 41 | | Juni, Sara and Ana thanks for your kind words - I should be feeling so great and with clothes on I do but I feel even less sexy undressed lately. I know it's going to take time to tone everything up but because I was so big for so long I have lots of stretch marks and loose skin and I can't even look at myself in the mirror. My fiance doesn't get it because he thinks I'm beautiful inside and out and my sex drive should be through the roof with the weight loss and feeling better about myself but I can't even think about sex and getting naked and having him see my gross stomach - doesn't that sound ridiculous. I know it's silly but I was really upset last night when we were getting busy and all I could think about was how gross I looked and needed to put a t-shirt on. The mood was lost to say the least. I was upset because I hated how I felt about myself and felt horrible for ruining the mood. My fiance just didn't get it. Maybe I need to buy some sexy lingerie so feel better about myself. I thought losing weight would make me feel better but it doesn't seem to be helping in that area and I'm just wondering if when I get to my goal and tone myself up more if I will feel better or always feel this way. I wish I could feel comfortable getting dressed or undressed in front of my finance or jump in the shower and surprise him one day. Anyway that's just what's on my mind today and I'm not feeling so hot.
Back to the fish pills - two experiences below with fishy burps and I think I have decided I'm not going to buy them. Thanks girls.
Yesterday was a good day:
Exercise - 25 min biggest loser cardio max dvd
B - ff yogurt w all bran buds
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L - 6inch veggie sub, Subway, 9 grain bread, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, black olives, mustard- no cheese, no mayo (that's what I would normally have on it - this way it was only 4 WW points).
Exercise - 1 hr aerobics class - intervals with body bar (12lbs - was afraid to increase to 15lbs but realized I could have so I will for sure next time!) and slidders - those really work the inside thigh for 50 min and 10 min abs, stretch.
D - 3 whole wheat fish sticks (9 WW points), 1/4 bag yam fries (4 WW points), ketchup, decaf green tea
No snacks tonight! I was full and satisfied after dinner and went to bed early.
I didn't drink as much water today as I should have and still haven't gotten groceries! Tonight we are going for sure! |

Rep Power: 5 | | hey cg-its great to see your weight loss progress!!!! kudos to you for staying on track.
Sorry to hear about the turn of events with ur fiance. Try not to be so hard on yourself though. You are working really hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle and thats really all that matters. i know seeing pictures of slim and sexy models plastered everywhere we go makes it hard to focus on the good things about our bodies... but you are REAL -and THAT makes you beautiful. you have a great smile too!!! |

Rep Power: 14 | | CG- don't let events of one night let you down like that. Sounds like your fiance is an amazing, supportive guy (I mean of course he is, he's your fiance ). And Nightrunner is right, don't be too hard on yourself. 16 lbs lighter body is bound to feel different but you work out more you'll tone up and you will look super hot and no one is gonna be able to resist you. Your fiance is gonna have to fight off advances from men, I tell ya!! Try a different strategy next time you guys get busy. Sexy lingerie, good music, candle lights...the works. Good luck!
And thanks for your suggestion on overcoming the plateau. Gonna try to shock my body.
Take care, and have an amazing weekend! |

Rep Power: 41 | | Thanks Juni and nightrunner for the advice - I'm really working on it and realized I need to have some patience. I really just wasn't in the mood and trying to force myself which made things worse.
So yesterday was another good day down for the books - a couple not so healthy snacks at night but still in my daily points allowence.
B- ff yogurt, 1 cup raspberries & all bran buds pouch
Snack - 2 cups mint green tea
L- 1 can tomato soup
Exercise - 1 hr spinning class, 50 min bike, 10 min abs & stretch
D- whole wheat tortilla pizza - salsa, green olives, green onion, 1 ff cheese slice, veggie salad - spring mix, orange peppers, green onion, cucumber, green grapes sliced, tomato, peas, 2 tsp olive oil & balsamic vinegar, 4oz glass red wine
Snacks - 100 cal curves peanut butter bar, 2 1 point bars - peanut butter, caramel
Total Steps 13700
I think the red wine triggered the extra snacking plus I forgot to pack a snack to have inbetween work and spinning and was so hungry when I got home. Maybe too because I didn't have any protein with dinner.
So the weekend begins at 4pm!! I have some plans to go out so hopefully I don't drink too much that I forget about healthy eating. I'll update you Tuesday how I made out! Wish me luck! Have a great weekend everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians! |
