Rep Power: 5 | | | Nikki's Picture Diary! Hello!
I have been lurking this website for about 3 years now. I just want to do a quick introduction so I can start posting. I introduced myself in the newcomers group yesterday but unfortunately I have not gotten a welcome, hopefully it goes better here. lol
I won't give you my entire life story, I'll save that for another post. So let me sum this up. My name is Nikki, I'm a stay at home mom to two children. (4yrs old & 6months old) When I was pregnant with my daughter I got all the way up to 280lbs When my daughter was a little over 1 year old I got "stuck" at 260+ lbs. That's pretty much when I decided enough was enough, and through diet & exercise I got down to 173lbs. I maintained it for a little while then I became pregnant with my beautiful son and skyrocketed to 269lbs! I delivered him on April 3rd, 2009 and instantly dropped 19lbs. So I guess you can say 241lbs was my starting weight. I remember going shopping for an outfit in very early May 2009 and I COULD NOT fit anything! A size 20 jeans were tight on me, I mean I struggled to unbutton them! I thought I was seriously going to have to break the button off. As far as shirts go, I fit a size 3X at the time. Horrible. I had no idea because through out my pregnancy I only wore t-shirts and sweatpants! Ugh. Enough of that. I started watching what I ate and slowly started exercising. I am currently 188lbs and feel like I am stuck once again. I know why though. I keep having these binges lately. But that's over with! If any of you update your diary regularly I would love if you would leave a comment with your link so I could check it out. ANY comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!
Oh and I called this a picture diary because I will be posting pictures every 2 weeks. 2 weeks sounds good, right? I will for sure be taking new pictures on October 1st, so look out for that!
You can check my album out, I posted lots of pictures there, but I'll post a few of them here. EDIT: I guess you can't post a picture in the diary group unless you attach it, I used the code, but it's not working, which is STUUUUUUUUPID!!!!!! I tried doing the attachments, but it said I could only do 5, clearly I have more than 5 pictures. Anyway, click the links, or go to my album, Thanks. Year 2007, 260+ lbs http://weight-loss.fitness.com/membe...260-pounds.jpg Year 2007, 260+ lbs http://weight-loss.fitness.com/membe...e2503-2007.jpg Year 2008, 173lbs http://weight-loss.fitness.com/membe...egnant-lol.jpg Year 2008, 173lbs http://weight-loss.fitness.com/membe...008-173lbs.jpg Year 2008, 173lbs http://weight-loss.fitness.com/membe...e2508-2008.jpg *THEN I GOT PREGNANT, AND GOT UP TO 269LBS, NO PICTURE OF THAT, SORRY* This was taken on June 17th 2009, I weighed 218lbs at the time and started Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, and added other exercises, It took me from June 17th 2009 to July 24th 2009 to complete the shred (I skipped a few days so I had to make up for it) and I lost 20lbs during that time. As far as eating goes, I ate anything I wanted in moderation. The only thing I have completely cut out so far is regular soda and candy. I might have a small piece of candy every now & then though, and slip up and have some regular coca cola. lol I have so many slip ups! Ugh, anyway....
PAY NO MIND TO MY MIRROR! My daughter always rubs her hands on it. http://weight-loss.fitness.com/membe...-16th-2009.jpg This was AFTER the 30 day shred.... I weighed 196lbs in this picture, but after I completed the shred I had weighed 198lbs... http://weight-loss.fitness.com/membe...-exercises.jpg This is me NOW, The first picture was taken September 3rd, 2009, and the body shots were taken September 13th, 2009 weighing in at 188lbs http://weight-loss.fitness.com/membe...ember-2009.jpg http://weight-loss.fitness.com/membe...-13th-2009.jpg http://weight-loss.fitness.com/membe...009-188lbs.jpg
I didn't plan on posting all of those pictures, lol, sorry!

Rep Power: 3 | | | They didn't show up as pictures, but all the links worked for me! I'm not sure how to make the pictures show up in the post... but I know for some people (like me when my computer is being slow) that really slows the load time of the whole page... so I kind of prefer links ^_^;
Anyways! Congrats on getting down to 188! Keep it up ^_^ |

Rep Power: 13 | | Hi GetFitNik! 20 pounds down in 5 weeks is awesome! Great start! You'll get there, one day at a time. When you slip up don't beat yourself up over it and just get back on track at the next meal. Keep it up! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Wow 20 pounds in 5 weeks? I did 30 Day Shred for about a week but it got boring and I dreaded doing it everyday, but congrats on your success! I think posting pictures every 2 weeks is a great idea! I don't take pictures, but I plan on measuring myself every two weeks. What are you goals? |

Yeah the 30 day shred is not exactly my idea of fun, but it gets the job done and it goes by soooooooo fast! I also used 10lb weights because that was all I had. I also love her Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones. I haven't done them in a while though. I've been sticking w/ the stationary bike the past 3 days to try to get back on track. Monday I did 1hr on the bike, Tuesday I did 4hours on the bike (that's a record for me, lol, and no it was not all at once) and today so FAR I've done 1hr on the bike. I definitely need to get back to some kind of stregth training for now. I'm rambling...
Deanna, I would like to get down to 150lbs and go from there. I am 5'2" so I know to be considered healthy I think I'm supposed to weigh between 110-140lbs. When I first started this journey my goal was to be 170lbs, that was THE weight for me, once I got to 173lbs I didn't look the way I had in mind, lol Soooo...not sure what I want to be. I guess we'll see once I get there. haha. I currently wear a size 11/12jeans I'll be really happy once I can fit into a 9! Never in my life has that happened. I know I won't ever have like a flat stomache or anything since I stretched my stomache to maximum capacity while I was pregnant both times...LOL But it's cool. |

Do you do crunches or pushups? I know I should be doing them but i'd rather do cardio and weight lifting. |

Rep Power: 5 | | Thank you! Nah, I don't do anything like that, when I first lost weight I did though. I would do a bunch of random situps/crunches and pushups and jumping jacks, lol Since having my son I've only done Jillian Michaels DVD's (which includes a bunch of different exercises) and the stationary bike. I did walk away the pounds a few times too when I was 240lbs. |

Rep Power: 4 | | Hey girl! You've done such a great job so far I know you can shed away those pounds that you want to! You had a perfect excuse for gaining it back before and now.. You had kids! You know what you have to do and how to do it.. Just learn from everything you've done been through and what you dont want to go through this time and allow it to continue to motivate you.. I love your energy about it all though! I look at your pictures and I be like she did it! SO can I! Thanks so much for posting.. I think its better to see someone who is sorta like you succeed than just hear people talk about their journey.. Both is wonderful.. but weight-loss pictures don't lie! Good job with everything you've done so far.. just keep at it! -- I'm just getting started so I know I got a long way ahead of me.. but, I know I can do it! and so can you! Good luck ma! |

Rep Power: 5 | | Thank you very much! I know you will meet your goal too. You sound so motivated & you have a great support system. Hey, for anyone reading this, lol Did yall watch The Biggest Loser lasnight??
Omg! I bawled like a baby when Abby said she lost her husband and two children a couple of years ago in a car accident. A cried a little through out the entire show actually, lol I was on the stationary bike for the first hour it was on so there I was pedaling, sweating, and crying. Then Tay (BF) walked in on me. Awkward. Anyway, I was SO mad that they kicked Alexandra off!! UGH! She worked for freakin' hard. I said she was going to be one hot bitch once they did her update and guess what? She was! I'm so proud of her! |
