Same story,different year!

I need to get back on track. I do not know why I allow myself to be defeated by food.I never seem to realize the weight gain until it is too far out of hand. I know 20 pounds may not be a lot to some but it means an uncomfortable life for me.
I have never been the chubby or thick girl and now I am I feel embarrassed by it.
So here I go again on this journey along with my natural hair Journey I started at the end of July to not chemically relax my hair anymore. These two should actually work hand in hand because I am trying to have more heathy hair once it grows back by using more natural products in my hair and taking my vitamins and trying to eat more healthy.So I am hoping I will be able to look back like I did 2 years ago and think WOW I did it.
Starting weight 79Kilos or 174 pounds.My short term goal is to lose 10 pounds by the end of the year, which should be attainable.My long term goal is to lose 30 pounds and get back to my pre child baring weight-LOL

I will try to exercise at least 3x a week. I am also tracking my calorie intake.
Brunch 500 calories
1 bagel 140 calories
6 slice of reduced fat bacon 120 cal
1 piece of steakumn 100 cal
1 egg 80 cal
1 slice of swiss cheese 60 cal

I feel great today.I woke up and attempted to do some yoga. I managed to get 20 minutes in before my kids reversed the effects of calmness by jumping around acting crazy. I did feel great after though.
My eating was okay today,
I did not check the calories because everything was just eyed.
I was about most of the day so I did not eat much. At Ikea DH tried to get me to eat there but I decided against it. I am trying not to eat outside my house. I will save those to for my meet-up group dates or emergency situations-LOL
I roasted a whole chicken and ate a drumstick and thigh, some scallops potatoes ate about 1 serving which was 90 calories, some stuffing which was 200 calories and a 1/2 serving of frozen yogurt 50 calories and some homemade banana pancakes-Only a few pieces but I would estimate it to be 300 calories to be safe.I am sure I did not exceed 1500 calories today though.
I am about to go look for an elliptical machine on ebay I need some change. I would attempt to run but it is cold as hell out there and I am not one to venture out in the cold-LOL But who knows maybe I will try it one morning.

Today was a good day. I woke up pumped! I decided to do a tae bo dvd and maybe 10 minutes in my kids started to bother me. That killed the energy. I really wish my gym opened earlier in the morning!It opens at 7 am 2x a week. I will try to make it tomorrow. Its just i am not getting a lot of sleep at night and I dont want to have to lose any extra sleep but i think i might have to give up one.
Eating is going great. I stayed at 1500 calories today.I opted for veggies and lean meats. I can feel the difference when i look at my stomach. Before it would be bloated all the time now its flat!!!Well not flat but its not all pregnant looking.
I am hoping to drop 10 pounds by christmas and be able to fit into my good clothes.

I woke up this morning and decided to go running. I use to run all the time then i just stopped. I was disappointed because i ran 2 miles in like 25 minutes.That is so slow i use to do 3 miles in almost that same time. Oh well I guess I have to run more. I think running was great because I did not get disturbed by my children or husband. My only complain is how cold it is, but, I will take that over the extreme heat!.
I am going to try to go something else today, if my huband ever puts air in my tires i might ride my bike to the gym tonight.

Just got back from the gym, did 20 minute run on treadmill and 30 minutes on the bike. I wish i would have my ipod i would have went a lot longer. I have to remember to buy some water tomorrow, i just never drink the sink water unless i am hanging in the kitchen.I ate okay today, did not eat breakfast which kinda messed up my day. I ate a pretzel with cheese and tomato on top. I made homemade pizza for dinner with feta cheese and chicken breast strips. I did overindulge on some sour patch type candy-ughhhh note to self do not take money with you when picking son up~
I am trying to hit the gym or go running everyday this week. I am aiming for 7 out of 7 in the activity department.

DH tells me he is not going be home this evening so I am unable to go to the gym or running. I am pretty pissed about it cause i was hoping to go everyday. I will attempt to do a workout video though. WIth my kids home it will not last long thats for sure. I alos have a huge amount of homework(procrastination) and have to have it done by tonight. UGH the challenges.

Oh how I hate weekends. I think I have been indulging too much so its time to get back to reality. I want to hit the gym tonight hopefully this bloated stomach of mine will be down in a few hours. I want to run 3 miles on the treadmill today so I hope I have enough energy.
I did by some more salad items so I am trying to make 1 meal at least a salad again. On a good note one of my jeans that was not able to botton up did the other day how cool is that. I have not weight myself in about a week because of the fear of not losing so hopefully i can keep it up-LOL

Hey there. Sounds like you're making progress.

One thing I'd suggest, if you haven't already, is that you sign up for a free account at either fitday.com or thedailyplate.com and start logging your food. Not only will it help you see how much you're eating (calorie wise) but it'll help you to track your nutrition and make sure you're getting a good balance of healthy foods!

Thanks for stopping by I actually have an account at both places but unfortunately when i purchase certain German items it does not pop up and the weighing of items turns me into and OCD jerk-LOL I am actuallly good at eyeing things BUT sometime i give into temptations

So I went to the gym last night and stayed on the treadmill for one hour I did not run the entire time though. I decided to play the last person on the treadmill game with the other people. I love that they do not know I am using them to push myself. I saw this lady on the stepper trying ot keep up with me and I was like what so i started running even faster-LOL I ended up being the last one on the machine so I won-LOL I did almost 8 kilometers i would have done at least 10 had i ran the entire time but i have time. So I know i said I did not want to weigh myself but I got the feeling today and now I am 171 pounds or 78 kilos so i have lost 3 pounds YES!!!! That is motivating I will be going back to the gym tonight!!!

We to the gym-dh was pressed for time so i only got to stay for like 40 minutes. I ran and walked on the treadmill for 25 minutes then did some push ups, crunches and stretches.I need to buy some good headphones these cheap ones are messing up my workout. I can not hear anything.
