So it must stop and it will. My ultimate goal is to get down to 110, but I'd like to be at 125 by July 16. I leave for Florida and the beach. I've never gotten to wear a bikini and I rarely ever go swimming now. I make up excuses but I know that people know that I'm just self-conscious. | Hey Ava!!
I'm 17 too, and around the same weight...
Guess what, I LIVE in Florida (Miami)...imagine that pressure. It's beach every single day over the summer...aaa!!! You'd think I'd be the most motivated person on earth
We can keep each other going...
Good luck! I'm off to read some of your diary... |

Rep Power: 0 | | Ceclia-I don't know if I would be able to live in Florida...lol. I'd be in hiding all the time! Yes...10 stupid calories in 1 peanut M&M. That really boggled my mind! When I run it's usually only two miles. I always do two miles at least. If I'm feeling lazy I will run a mile and then walk the next mile. Thanks for all the support!
And thank YOU Hypo. . |

Rep Power: 0 | | Well my family believes in extending everything as long as possible...so we are taking TWO days to celebrate Father's Day. We did the first yesterday...and of course, this being a family gathering...healthy food was minimal. Today is day 2 and we are getting together...and having another hearty meal. I will do my best, but I think I'm up there again. I don't know...I'm not touching that scale until tomorrow. I don't want to let myself down. .
Boo!
I want the scale at the top of the page to be MY scale lol, and have it read 120. Boy..that'd be a treat. I haven't been 120...in years. If I ever do make it to my GW, I will be smaller than I was as a 6th grader. How funny is that...
But hey, I'd feel really freaking good about that!
It's funny though...until I cut out all the junk food...I didn't realize just how much junk food that I actually ate! I'm glad now that I've opened my eyes to it, because that was not a good path to be going down. I cannot believe how much more energy I have now that I eat healthier. I don't drink soda anymore, or coffee (which was REALLY hard for me), caffeinated teas, or store bought juices. Just water, and once in awhile if I'm super lucky...fresh squeezed. We went out of the country in April to see some friends, and at every meal was water and fresh squeezed juice. Mmm.
But I think I'm doing pretty okay this far. 8 pounds?! Wow. That's a bowling ball. Gone.Just about 3 more pounds until I get to where I was last summer. It's funny...the healthier I eat, and the healthier I get, I find myself just wanting to keep getting healthier. It feels soo good.
I'm really never going to let myself go again. I know it didn't get too bad, but if I hadn't have done anything, I'd be over 150 by now and rising. I'm glad that I've finally gotten to the point where I can make that conscious decision to a better me. It's exciting and rewarding at the same time.
Gee, all that and only 8 pounds gone. . Can't imagine what I'll have to say when I reach my goal! Sorry for the ramble. |

It's cool how you have equated the weight loss to a thing... I like that idea..
Ask somoene who doesn't understand to carry a bowling ball aroudn witht hem for a day... they will feel incredibly relieved to let that ball finally go... |

Rep Power: 0 | | hey ava! our goals are pretty similar! you're definately going to be one of my motivators! sucks about peanut m&ms but its good to hold yourself accountable and not just shrug off the one piece of candy. i had a bite of a croissant this morning and it was definately 40 calories! but its good that i actually looekd it up because imagine if i took 3 bites and thought "oh thats nothing" nothing would really mean 120 calories.
i'm in love with those south beach diet wraps--can you believe only 220-250 calories for all that food? south beach is amazing. they make pizzas too which is great when i've been craving junk food.
i've also got pretty muscular thighs (mostly from cheerleading) and it stinks because i know they probably can't get any smaller than they are but i'm hoping i'll lose another inch or so in them. that would be great. i'll be here for ya if you need any support! and hopefully we'll follow through with our goals all the way to the end

Rep Power: 0 | | Thanks summer! South Beach comes out with some really good food...lol. Yumm. I used to kickbox (I weight like 125 when I did....but of course I had to stop) and play a lot of soccer so my thighs are pretty muscular. Always have been. I really wish there was a way to make the muscles in them smaller. I get compliments on my legs a lot, but I never wear jeans or shorts or anything because my thighs are just too big. I actually wear a lot of skirts. Weird.
Anyways, thanks for stopping by!
Yes...a bowling ball is a lot heavier than you think. . |

Rep Power: 0 | | | omg me too! everyone's like your legs are so nice and i'm like no you just keep seeing them in skirts. i never wear shorts bc its always too tight in the thighs and loose in the waist. same with jeans. unless they're like nicely flared to balance it out, i dont really wear them. i stick to black spandex pants or leggings with a long shirt and then i belt the shirt...its my sneaky way to looking thinner than i am. everytime i pull out one of those outfits, people are like "oh have you lost weight" and i just laugh (then i cry and say 'i wish...' to myself lol) |

Leggings are my life.
It's funny, a few years ago...people used to be like WHY are you wearing leggings? That's so weird, that's so 80's..lol..and now they are actually cool. When they came in style I danced for hours. And I had the last laugh.
Shorts just make me look... . Yuck.
Anyways...
I wasn't that good today. I had peanut butter toast for breakfast on wheat bread...then some chicken...and then dinner was steak (NO POTATOES ), with some corn and pasta salad. And two cookies for dessert. .
But I did drink tons of water. And I'm going to go running in a bit. I do not want to weigh in tomorrow. I think that if I am above 140 I will cry.

Rep Power: 0 | | Wow!!! All that I can say is WOW. When I first started running daily I'd stop after every quarter mile to get a drink and catch my breath. Needless to say...my cardiovascular strength was not all that great. Eventually I could do a half mile, and then eventually I got to a whole mile. For some reason I figured that all I'd ever have to do is run one straight mile and be ok. Maybe walk a mile afterwards.
Well just now I ran three whole miles in a row. . It's probably lame to be excited about...but I've never EVER run more than one mile in a row. I didn't stop once. I took sips from my water bottle but it was in the cup holder on the treadmill so it was ok. But yes. I'm sorry, I just felt the need to be proud of that! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Wow, so I haven't lost tons of weight, but I have lost three inches from my waist and three inches from my hips!
Just went for a run, only 1.25 miles, but I'm not feeling too well today so I guess that's okay.
I can feel the transformation beginning... . |

Rep Power: 0 | | Good luck on the 4 miles Cecilia! You can doooo it!
Anyways..I haven't counted calories today. I'm trying something new. I know that when I count calories I get really anxious and tend to eat significantly lower amounts of calories than I really need. I'm just going to make good decisions about what I eat, exercise right, and try not to worry too much about the calories. If I make the right choices...the results will speak for themselves. Anyways.
Breakfast: Peanut butter toast (wheat) and water.
Run 1.25 miles.
Lunch: Lowfat Turkey on toasted wheat bread
Carrot sticks
Banana
Few pieces of pineapple
Water
(Stuffed!)
Dinner will probably be another turkey sandwhich and some more fruits/veggies...and of course water!
It's funny. I've been eating healthy for the past few weeks..maybe about a month now...and honestly I'm really not feeling any cravings anymore. I crave chicken now, and pineapple...lol. Especially water. I was watching a health segment on the news...and I realized that I just kind of forgot about the other stuff. Weird!
I'm cleaning right now...cleaning tends to give me a boost in motivation for some reason. I don't know...don't ask me! Plus...it's a great workout! |

Rep Power: 0 | | oh i'm exactly the same! when im craving a snack..i like crave chicken, not cake or donuts like i used to. i guess i'm finally kind of just adapting into this whole diet thing which is good, bc i wouldn't want to go back to my old ways right when i hit my gw.
HOW did you lose 3 inches! i'm so jealous. how much have you been eating a day and how much have you been exercising? | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
