ACK! I wrote a long message--personalized responses and EVERYTHING--and apparently forgot to do the final post :P
Anyway, THANK YOU ALL for the kind words, support and concern. I'm feeling better. I've had lots of water and exactly 1198 calories for the day, so maybe I'm back on track.
My daughter (the one with the Cheese Nips--did I mention they were four cheese cheese nips?) has packed up the babies and gone camping, so I won't be eating at her house for awhile. Don't worry, TwinMom: she took them with her!
Thanks again, ya'll. It's amazing to me that this can help so much!

Breakfast: whole wheat mini bagel with a touch of chream cheese. orange
Lunch: Ezekiel pasta salad with carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and red onion.
Snack: Sugar-free Eskimo pie
Supper: Campbell's vegetable beef soup
I'll probably have some whole wheat Wheat Thins later, maybe with some Laughing Cow cheese. That should put me right on target. Tomorrow I'm going to focus on more veggies and fruit, but on the whole, I'm pleased
Eating right was a real struggle this morning, but after lunch, it was a breeze. Maye I really AM learning to eat like a normal person this time. This site, and you people, are like a magic wand. I'm not sure I could do this without you!

Oh Silver, wouldn't it be great if we were a magic wand - but actually, it's all you girl! You're doing this, you're the one staying on track and focused! We just get to cheer you on!
Have a good night and catch you tomorrow

GOOD morning, all! (Yes, I am one of those disgusting morning people!)
The day's off to a good start. I'm actually folding some of the laundry that's overtaking the house, and I've had my coffee and healthy breakfast: whole wheat mini-bagel with a little cream cheese and vanilla yogurt with blueberries. I'm at 320 calories so far, and I'm looking forward to the day.
Supper will be a vegetarian tamale pie that I'm really looking forward to. Lunch is up in the air, though. I'm going into town to pick up car parts, and hubby seems to be dragging his feet a bit--if we go late enough, he likes to have lunch at the Mexican place. But I'm NOT going back there today. If we eat out, it will hve to be somewhere healthy. I'm thinking Applebee's for one of their Weight Watchers meals even though they're not my favorite restaurant.
Mini-goals for today: stay within my calories, get at least 5 serving of fruit and veggies, drink 110 ounces of water.
Fruit and veggies today: 1
water: 0

Thanks for the pat on the back, Val Clearly, though, NEITHER of us realizes how my hubby's mind works. If he couldn't have his Mexican, he wanted CHINESE BUFFET! (Remember he's this beautiful, well-muscled man who's never had to think twice about his weight :P I was good. I ate a spring roll, about half a potato (fried, but lightly) one bite of veggie lo mein and some sauted onion out of one of the meat dishes. It was all so greasy, I just couldn 't find anything I could eat. So, of course, I was starving when I got home and ate two Eskimo pies. Supper was a vegetarian tamale pie with tons of fiber to help me feel full. All in all, I didn't do badly, and my (unofficial) weigh in this morning showed a 2 pound loss
But man, oh man did I struggle this morning! I made honey bran muffins from this little mixes. Two of them were 366 calories, but Richard wanted butter on his. I just can not believe how much I wanted butter on mine. I measured 1 tablespoon and practiced trying to shave it super thin and tried to justify putting on just a LITTLE bit. But I finally said to myself, "Self, this is stupid. That little bit of butter is not even worth the MATH it will take to figure out how many calories it is. Just put down the butter knife and wal away"--and I DID!
The muffins were great without the butter, and my victory over the butter helped offset my disappointment over not eating it....but I'm still a bit flabergasted by just how HARD I worked to get that butter :P

Silver, kudos to you for your willpower...I know that I probably would have caved!!! That's really inspiring that you were able to say no to the butter...and congrats on the awesome two pound loss!!! That's really fabulous! Doesn't that make you even MORE motivated??!?! Keep up the awesome work, girl!

Thank you for your kind words on my diary regarding ginger nut oops... Sam! I think I may take your advice and ask him what's up but I expect he'll duck out of it as usual.
To answer your question pakora is usually made from veg (but can be meat) that's been fried in a type of batter, not very healthy at all but ery tastey! Thank yourself lucky you haven't encountered it before!

Congratulations on your 2lbs!! How often do you weigh yourself? Is it every Wednesday? Great job fighting off the butter and the bad Chinese. I don't like Crapplebeas either, but I do like that they have those low cal/low fat meals on the menu.
I was off to exercise but I got a call from by boyfriend that he is going to be late and I don't like to leave my dogs locked up all day and then just do it again when I get home so I am waiting for him to come home and thought I would check on a few folks here.
That is not my dog in avatar, but I liked that he was stealing a cookie so I put him on there. I will send you some pics of my doggies if you like. They are just as cute. One is very hard to photograph because she is so black.
Put the recipe for the tamale thing on the recipe thread if you don't mind. I would love to try it. Your doing great!! Keep it up!
