Rep Power: 41 | | yea we all have our own demons that caused us to be overweight. some are emotional eaters and some just eat the wrong foods. Me, I'm a sugar junkie. Some people get that crazy feeling when they eat chocolate and with me it's just sugar in general. So this diet has been working for me because I'm getting carbohydrates out of the cabbage and the occasional bit of pasta. The longer I can stay away from the super dooper corn syrups the better I will be. I am even staying away from the low calorie sweeteners like splenda and nutrasweet etc... just because I'm trying away from anything sweet. The only sugar I'm using is honey and thats natural so I don't mind so bad. |

yea the soup ain't bad. Since I haven't been drinking sodas or having sugar other than honey, everything taste kinda sweet. It's odd cabbage taste sweet but it does. My weigh in day was Sunday but since I normally go out to eat on Saturdays I think I'll change it to Saturday mornings. I got on the scale last night for a peek and I was down 4 more pounds for a total of 11 pounds between last week and yesterday. I'm expecting good numbers Saturday. It may just be a lot of water weight but I don't care it's nice of it to come off. |

Look at you!!!
Congratulations on the 11 pounds. Great job. Also wonderful on your cholesterol. Good for you on staying away from the sugar. I drink Diet Coke and use Splenda. Sugar has never been my issue. My problem was tacos, pizza, chips, dip and cheese. Stuff like that. I guess we all have our weaknesses. Wouldn't be life otherwise I suppose. |

It's either the salt or the angioplasty. I think they are both having a lot to do with it. I have also switched to the light salt which took some getting used to. The weight I lost before I just cut my calories back some and sometimes it would come off and other times... not. So far everything is going well with the soups so I'm gonna keep it up for awhile.
Yup I'm a sugar junkie.... thats a no-no food lol. |

Rep Power: 12 | | I haven't had a real Coke in so long I would go into a sugar coma if I had one. A couple of years ago we drove through someplace. They mislabeled the drinks. Well my husband's was a regular Dr Pepper. I took a big drink and almost lost it right there on the spot!
I used to think I couldn't drink diet or use artificial sweetener. I'm not quite sure what happened. We used to go through a case of regular soda in 2-3 days. I didn't drink it for 3 years. I drank iced tea straight. Hey, it puts hair on your chest!! When I did start drinking soda I went with diet. I found it had no after taste. So it was all good. It is probably better not to drink it. But I really like it. I don't drink coffee and I like the bubbles. Honey is much better because it is all natural. I was borderline diabetic. Since losing weight my blood sugar is in total control. I think I will just stick with what I know works for me and what I can live with.
I know it's hell to give certain things up. I'm with ya on that one.
Keep up the good work. |

Keep up the good work. | yea I drink my tea straight now. I just don't make it nearly as strong now lol. I use the honey when I do want to sweeten something. Around here they sell alot of raw honey from the honey farms and It seems to have a much stronger taste. with the stronger honey I tend to not use as much. I wouldn't even mind using real sugar or brown sugar in oatmeal but I'm giving it a little more time. I'm mostly just trying to stay away from the supper dooper concentrated syrups that are in cokes and such. I'm not drinking cokes mainly because it's my biggest weakness. It would get to be that if you saw me I had a coke in my hand or at least close by lol. I guess it's one of those things I tend to overindulge in. |

Rep Power: 7 | | | Good for you with the sugar subs. I think that regular pop tastes weird now, but I don't drink a whole lot of pop. Pretty much every other food out there is my weakness...ice cream, pasta, bacon, fries...the usual suspects! |

My dad would bring me a coke and candy bar everyday after work. I think thats what kicked off my like for sugar and cokes. It just got to where I was drinking more and more sodas. so it's just something about sodas that really hooks me in. I'd be just as happy with salads or sandwiches. The sugar is my problem. well honestly....... I don't mind a huge bowl of pasta lol.

Woke up at about 1:30pm, took my son to the doctor, bought groceries and went to the bank to pick up my part of all the paper work for my new boat....
Still thats no excuse for not eating. The trick will be not to eat too much at dinner. Anyway it's been a long exausting day..............
Food today......
Breakfast-0
Lunch- sugar free mocha latte
Dinner- chicken and rice
