Rep Power: 41 | | Well hello everyone.
Well I went to the family doctor today to check my blood pressure. since the angioplasty my blood pressure is now 101/57 with a pulse of 60......
Now that my blood pressure is down she put me on an appetite suppressant; adipex-p. I think it's just another name for phentermine. I think it's a mild amphetamine so the department of transportation drug people are going to throw a hissy fit. As long as it's under a prescription I don't really think they can do anything if it does show up.
My appetite is so large it's hard to eat right. I'm always hungry. she said this should cut the sugar craving so we will see. I have to see the company doctor in a little while so I wont start the diet meds until tomorrow.
other than that everything is ok. we have a small winter blast all the way down into the 40's or so tonight.
Hope everyone is doing well.............
Menu
Breakfast: half of a McDonald's steak, egg, and cheese bagel.
Lunch: salad with lettuce, onion, grape tomatoes, and reduced calorie French dressing.
Dinner: Two skinless chicken breast, brussle sprouts in a butter sauce.
Snack: soup
Snack: banana with some raisins.
Drinks: water, coffee, grapefruit juice, sugar free mocha latte |

Rep Power: 12 | | Hi HB. The blood pressure looks awesome. I envy your pulse. Mine is usually in the mid 90's. I should say it used to be. One of my meds lowers it to between 65-82. On average now it is between 68-72. I have never had high blood pressure but my heart likes to speed up.
I hope the appetite suppressant does well for you. If it keeps you from being hungry and lowers your sugar cravings that is great.
As for the 40's I am envious there as well. It is 6 here and windy. Brrrrrrr |

Rep Power: 41 | | well hello everyone. I took a look at the scale and it's still at 375. I was expecting to lose more before it slowed. I'm not mad because it's probably the huge reduction in calories. When you go from about 3700 calories down to about 800 your body tends to throw a fit. Today is my first day on the diet pill and ummm I can feel my hair vibrating lol. Think I'll drop back to half a dose. The good thing is I'm not hungry and I had to force myself to eat breakfast. My appetite is what has always done me in. I don't know If my huge appetite comes from just being a guy or the school football and wrestling where I was active and was always hungry or the year I was hooked on steroids. My appetite just seems to always be going full blast. It's so depressing sometimes. I have so many friends that just take being in shape and healthy for grantit.......
I'm going back to starting to count my calories so that I can keep a better eye on things. I just have to get back in that habit. |

Rep Power: 41 | | we'll it was a good day...... Food
Breakfast: 2 poached eggs, 3 slices of turkey bacon, 1 English muffin.
Lunch: none.
Dinner: Applebee's spinach and grilled shrimp salad.
Drinks: water, tea, sugar free mocha latte.
I know not much food but the new diet pill really has me not hungry. I'm always hungry but not tonight... and the miracle part is I'm not craving sugar even one bit..... the drawback is I'm not even sleepy.......... Ah well the price of health I guess. |

It's adipex-p. The pharmacist says that it's the reworked version of fen-phen. I think some people had problems with the original and this is I guess the " new and improved lol". It's a controlled substance so you have to get a prescription. It's a amphetamine with a side effect of killing your appetite. I don't recommend it because it raises your blood pressure and speeds up your heart rate; legal speed. I didn't look at your stats but if you don't have a large amount of weight to lose, I would pass it by. The other drawback is if you are in a job like mine that has random drug test, you will fail it due to the amphetamine content. It is being peddled by weight loss clinics for 125.00 or so every week or two. If you get your doctor to prescribe it, it runs about 60.00 for a 30 day supply.
again I really don't recommend it but me........
it's this or a gastric bypass so for me it's worth the gamble........
If you or anyone on the forum decides to take it...... please keep in close contact with your doctor and keep and eye on your blood pressure at home as well as going in for a blood panel and checkup every few weeks. Medicines/drugs like this are a controlled substance for a reason.............
Best wishes
Lee

I have a full release from my cardiologist and my blood pressure meds are now cut in half and my normal pressure now runs about 101/56 with a pulse of about 60. Instead of going through one of the weigh loss clinics that just push pills I am dealing with my cardiologist and my family doctors for the medicine.
I am at the end of my rope so it's this or a gastric bypass. I stay on a diet for awhile then give up because the sugar cravings and my appetite take over and I get into the " I don't give a damn" mentality.
So if it takes this to get this weight off, so be it.
Thank you for your concern ---------{@ | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
