there a few reasons why im waiting to get a scale. the main one is being on disability I only get paid once a month and thats the last day of the month. The next main reason is i cant just go out and find a scale that will weigh a 400lb person. Im looking for a digital thats electric rather than battery. I have a few narrowed down though... Today is another low end day on calories. Think im gonna have to give myself some rice or something with dinner. Think im only up to 300 or so for the day and its almost 7pm. Im gonna try to hit at least 1000-1200 before bed. Ill get more if i can get it without stuffing myself. I really dont want to get into that habit......

well welcome to a brand new day......... well no school today so maybe I can have a normal schedule today. I need to get out and cut the grass again today. I dont think im gonna got the whole 2 acres today. Ill prob just cut for an hour. Im not sure how many calories a push mower burns off but It will be at least one meals worth. Everything has been going ok as far as the cravings go. Though i would love some salt.....mmmmm maybe some salted fruit. apples or maybe oranges.... ehhhhh well see once i drive into town for some shopping.

It's good to see your calories coming up to a reasonable range.

Check out the link for number of calories burned per hour at different weights for different activities. "Mowing lawn" on the list. Looks like you'll be able to burn off a few hundred calories on the lawn, no sweat, so to speak.

thanks for the link. I dont know since i switched to low cal food im just not hungry. Im not sure why; the food taste fine. I have even adapted a few of our normal dishes to be a little more calorie friendly. Starches are a good way to give a calorie boost but i dont really want to get into the habit of eating alot of them. This is a weird switch. normally when you think about low calorie you think about being hungry all the time and im going through just the opposite.

u all are awesome

i see how accountable you all are to each other and it makes me more comfortable to expell the feelings that i am experiencing. this morning, around 8 am i had an apple and an orange and i am thinking about making me an egg and bacon sandwich (2 egg beaters, four slices of bacon-100 calories, its low cal bacon-, a flat out wrap, and a cup of apple sauce). this meal ultimately comes out to about 300 calories, which doesn't seem to be too bad.

am i a glutonous pig for wanting this meal or is it a step in the right direction?

i will post later after my meal...omg, i need to go get my h2o bottle out of the car.

hey there. no 300 cals for one meal isnt bad. just make sure its not only 300 for the whole day. egg and bacon sandwiches are my normal breakfast. its an easy meal and its something to get you going.

thanx! my meal was very good and i appreciate the support. the only bad thing is that i think about food all the time. at times, i feel like a drug addict because i have a serious addiction. hopefully, thru this forum i will be able to change some of my habits, so as to not focus on food so much.

do you think an appetite suppressor would be out of the question?

all comments are welcome

Im not sure how others feel about it. I normally have to have one when im on a diet. They help with the hunger and most will curb the sugar cravings.

well been pushing that lawnmower most of the morning off and on. I feel like I have walked half way to the moon. Up one row and down the other. man there alot of rows on this yard lol. I was reading crunchie's post and i think ill follow her idea and get a bike. I havent had one in years hope they still come with instructions lol. I live about 5 miles out of datyon and 30 miles from houston so there is plenty of rual hiway out there to ride on. They have a large shoulder on the side so its safe enough. then again just here in the neighborhood there are miles and miles of road. Just thinking i would rather ride than walk. just hope the tires can hold up to my big self. ahh well we shall see. Other than all that everything is still going ok. I am on track on my meals for today. wasnt hungry at lunch but ate it anyhow. If i didnt i would never have had the calories in i needed. No major cravings i cant handle. Thought i might try some sugar free ice cream depending on the calories it has in it. If not there is always more fruit.

well i never got around the the fruit lastnight, my kids got to it before i could. I wanted a few more calories since i havent been taking in that many so i went and got one of those weight watchers ice cream cookie things. It wasnt bad for a treat and only had 140 cals. I was thinking it had splenda or something it in so i wasnt worried. Ever since i ate it i have been starved. its like the first day of my diet all over again. When i woke up soooo hungry looked at the ingredients and one of the first things is sugar. I think thats why i havent had an appetite the last few weeks. I think my body thinks sugar is food and thats all it wants....... well it cant have it and thats just that. itll will have to get use to it. Other that being misrable i now know im addicted to sugar which explains how i never could lose all the weight i wanted. I have been to all the nutrition classes and know why and how the calories work. whats more healthy whats not but all that dosent seem to help when you want something sweet. well i picked up some wheat bread lastnight im trying to get away from the white starches. Um potatoes think ill still have those just few and far between. man im hungry its gonna be along two days till things get back to normal.........
