Rep Power: 83 | | Ah, but Disney is that slow walking, strolling from attraction to attraction, waiting in line. Loads of fun, but totally different then scaling that dome!
Of course, having grown up practically at DLand (it was my summertime babysitter when I was a kid), I'm a bit jaded And I LOVE to hike! |

Rep Power: 20 | | | So that's Enchanted Rock!
I've heard about it many times over the years (being a Texas gal myself), but didn't know where it was or what it looked like.
Will have to put that on my list of things to do. |

Rep Power: 41 | | | my family is from around Fredericksburg so we always go back when we can. I want to buy land there once I get working but the land there is crazy expensive. Enchanted rock has a bunch of stories but basically the Indians thought it was a spiritual place and wouldn't go to it due to noises or some such. Its it the hill country but Enchanted rock really towers above everything else. The park is awesome and its a great place if you can ever get to it.
Today went pretty well now that Finals are over. Didn't get around to breakfast other than some coffee just to get me moving. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Thanks for visiting my diary Hillbilly.
It's funny, when I think of Texas, I'm NOT thinking of hills like that! I've been to Houston...and that's what I think of when I think of Texas. I forget that the western part of the state is so different from the eastern part. Like Colorado (where I live).
I think you'll have a great time hiking to the top of the dome. What a view you'll have!! I'd like to see pics from the top looking down too! I would imagine it will be a very triumphant feeling for you!! |

Rep Power: 41 | | | yea Houston is pretty much flat. once you get into central or western Texas the hills really start popping up. Id like to see north Texas but i heard there are yanks up that way lol..... just kidding. Yea that will be a huge climb, Ill cheat and do it toward the winter time. That way it will be all the way in the 70's when I do it. there it gets a lot colder than it does here so ill just have to wing it. Its still too soon now, no way I can climb up a 500 foot rock just yet but soon. |

Rep Power: 41 | | well today has been going pretty well other than brush hogging the yard. How many calories does running a tractor burn anyhow lol. The only bad thing about today is my stomach is telling me its time for lunch and its 6:50 pm. I normally get hungry way before now but I guess just been busy outside. I kinda wish I had at least taken something out of the icebox for lunch... hmmm. Its going to have to be one of those creative days lol. I just remembered its been four months since I have had a coke......... man I want one.............
