reminds me of a story i wrote in early elementary school. i'll never forget this teacher for thwarting my writing career.

i was writing about goldy, a fish. i said something about her being able to read because, well fish travel in schools. tried to be funny, but it was also an important part of the story, something about being able to read the map to the treasure chest.

the bitter, uninspired, nasty ol' teacher dogged me for using humor in my writings. no famous satirists coming out of her classroom, that's for sure.

Well I went to the interview today and it seemed to go well. I talked to about three different managers from the Human Resource guy to the plant production manager. We never discussed pay but we talked about schedules and school. The job is basically that I would oversee laborers on the equipment. Basically just keep the machines running. It's a small factory so it should be easy enough. So after the walk through they told me I would know either way tomorrow or the next day. I hate it when they do that.....

I've made my living writing silly jokes like that patty... I've had stuck up teachers all through school but never let it bother me. Writing comedy (no matter how corny) is a gift.
