Rep Power: 16 | | | back on track Good job making a post and getting back on track today! You can't change the past, but you can do better next weekend, so just set your sights on that. Maybe there is a farmers' market you could visit first thing in the morning on Saturday. That's how I have started my weekends the last two weeks, and it has really helped me to stay on track. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Good idea! Thanks, twinmom! There is a farmers market not far from me that I could visit. I never thought about that. I'll give it a try! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Mon., June 19th Still not good. My good intentions of going to Subway before stitch club went out the door when a friend called and wanted to go to Steak & Shake for dinner. (I love all my friends dearly, but they want to go out to eat way too much! ) So ... consequently my willpower gave out again, and I had chicken fingers, french fries, and baked beans. Tasted great, but not the best choice on the menu. Something positive I did today:
Worked out with weights for 1/2 hour. What I need to work on:
Making better choices when eating out. |

Rep Power: 16 | | | shakes I am going to save up for a Steak & Shake milkshake all week the week that they open here. I LOVE their shakes, and I know they are HUGE calories, but that is something I am willing to work extra hard all week to earn. My favorite is strawberry. |

I find it helpful if I cook up meats and things on Sunday so that I can just add some veggies and stuff to them for dinner etc...or take healthy food with me for lunch. It is easier for me to eat well if I have "fast" food on hand that is healthy. Don't dwell on your bad choice at the restaurant, the great thing is you didn't eat it all. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Making better choices eating out is SO hard. We probably just need to learn how to say no to eating out all of the time in the first place and that would help a lot... you can do this! |

Rep Power: 0 | | The week hasn't been too bad, but I could have done alittle better. Didn't get much walking in so I need to concentrate on that. Next week I'm gone on vacation. Since I tend to not worry about what I eat on vacation, I think I'm going to just relax and have a good time and come back refreshed and ready to try again. I haven't had a vacation in 1-1/2 years, and I'm really looking forward to getting away. I'm going to try not to stuff myself, but I'm also going to enjoy the restaurants that we go to. Exercise will be non-existent unless you count shopping. See everyone in a week! |

Rep Power: 16 | | | Have fun! Have fun on your vacation! I read one of your posts where you said you have problems getting motivated to move, so when you get back you are going to walk at least 30 minutes a day 4 days a week or I am going to poke you with a long stick! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Thanks, twinmom and M2M! You've got a deal! I don't want to be poked with a long stick, so I promise to start walking every night.
Oooo, Oooo, Oooo ... just had to post! I lost 2.5 pounds last week!!!! What positive motivation to begin my vacation. I don't want it to be wasted, so I'm going to try double-hard to be careful eating while I'm gone. And I FINALLY got to update my ticker!!! |

Darcy, that is GREAT!! What a wonderful reminder at the start of your vacation!
And vacations are great for bringing home memories, we don't need to bring extra poundage to remember our trip with

Rep Power: 0 | | Congrats on the weight loss Darcy. When we deviate slightly from our plan, I think we tend to assume that we will put on 20 lbs in a week, but the truth is if you are committed and the slip up is the exception and not the rule, you will be rewarded when you step on those scales.
Have a great holiday (sorry ... vacation ) and I look forward to your welcome home post!! |
