Rep Power: 0 | | Report for Monday, July 10th:
Did my weight exercises in the morning.
Walked 1.5 miles.
Weight Watchers points for day - 33 (within my allotment)
Big (at least to me) accomplishment yesterday! I ate out for supper last night and only had a small portion of tortellini (one of my favorites) and a salad with fat-free dressing. I have to admit that I would have loved more, but I didn't, and that is a major accomplishment for me. One of my many weaknesses is that I love to eat out. Yea me!
This morning I planned my eating for the entire day which was easier to do since I'll be eating at home for dinner tonight. I'm also going to try to eat a low-cal snack in the mornings and afternoons. Maybe that way I won't be so hungry at lunch and dinner. It seems to work for others, so I hope it will work for me. I'm also planning to walk 1.5 miles today. |

Rep Power: 0 | | OK, there's going to be another *test* this evening. I need to go to the grocery store, and it will be the first time since I've joined this forum (another family member has been doing all the shopping). I need to get some ingredients for making some Weight Watcher recipes and smoothies plus some other healthy foods. I figure it's time to get this test over with. I can't keep avoiding the grocery store forever! My willpower has never been good when grocery shopping. Everything looks just too darn good! But I have my list made out, and I WILL stick to it and only it! And I'm stayin' out of the candy, cookie, and chip aisles (I swear on a bag of Doritos)! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Hello there fellow spare tire deflator just popping in to say hello as I see I have somehow missed your diary so far. Well done for not eating more when you went out, that's the bane of my life as well unfortunately. Keep up the good work and we're sure to do well in the group challenge! |

Congrats on the weight loss!!! You are doing so good. I am hoping we will all be like Pavlov's dog. The more we make good choices the more weight we will lose....the more weight we loose, the more good choices we make. Hopefully, one day we won't have to think about it so much. I'm sure you have already gone to the grocery, but if you haven't--DON'T GO HUNGRY!!!
You're doing great! Good Luck in the Challenge. |

If you bring home Oreo's from the grocery store, the Twiny Stick will be waiting for you in the driveway. Be advised. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Tuesday, July 11th Yeaaaaaaaa, I did it! I actually went to the grocery store last night and stuck to my list!!!!!! Well ... I did pick up a package of Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches, but they are only 2 points on Weight Watchers and that way I'll have something to munch on when I get that hankering for ice cream and I'll stay away from the regular ice cream that my parents have in the freezer. Now I'm really anxious for the weekend when I'll have time to try out some new WW recipes and some new smoothie/slushie recipes I found online. If I find any good ones, I'll post them in our recipe section.
I stuck to plan yesterday:
28.5 WW points (which is at the low end of my allowance for the day )
I had to run an unexpected family errand after work last night so didn't get to do my walking at the mall like I'd planned. I figured I'd walk at our town park when I got home, but by that time it was raining cats and dogs again, so I decided to do 5 miles on my stationary bike. My knees don't like bike riding right now, so I had to quit after 3 miles because my left knee wouldn't quit catching. Hopefully that will get lots better as the weight comes off. But I did get alittle exercise in, so that made me feel better.
Pineola - Woof! Woof!
twinmom - I don't want to meet that Twiny Stick!
T2 Trucker - How did you know that Oreos are one of my all-time favorites and usually the bane of my grocery shopping! No Oreos for me last night! And I love your "no" Burger King avitar!
val - I'm visioning those spare tires rolling away!
mal - I think you're a great poet! It makes me smile! |

Oops, didn't do so well last night. It still completely puzzles me how, when you eat out, you can be so strong and good one night and then the very next night, you cave in. I went to a medical seminar last night at our hospital, and they fed us a really healthy dinner of a large lettuce salad with mandarin oranges, cranberries, walnuts, and feta cheese. It was very good. I even stuck to water to drink. But ... they also had these big wonderful cookies for dessert, and I caved and had 2 peanut butter ones when we took our break. And not only that, when the seminar was over, I grabbed a chocolate chip to eat on the drive home! Now ... please ... someone tell me why I did that??? I wasn't feeling depressed or sick. If anything, I was feeling good because I'd been doing so well. So why, then, did I reach for those cookies? Habit maybe? Oh well, I'm just chalking it up to the past and getting back on the wagon today.
WW points - way over my allotment.
Did my weight exercises.
