Ive found in my long and fruitful experiance, you can have a cluttered house and mess most places, but if the floor is clean and clear and vacuumed the rest of the place looks good. If you have a tidy house but havnt vacuumed it looks a mess |

Rep Power: 25 | | Hi, Cannon! Just wanted to stop in and see how your journey is progressing. You have done very well so far! You're certainly shrinking, that's for sure!
Keep your date with the gym (I have a date with my treadmill EVERY SINGLE DAY for one hour) and get back into the exercise habit. It really does pay off! I don't dare miss, as I think I could find many, many excuses not to "pick it up" again.
Cheers!

I am also picking up some exercise books because I've learned just enough to doubt what I'm doing. The weather has made its way into the 30s that's plenty warm enough for me to get back in the swing of things. | Hi Cannon!! Let me know how David Allens book is, I bought the 60 second procrastinator 2 years ago to help me get things done, I have yet to read it. I'm in bad shape. lol Have a great week! |

Rep Power: 38 | | | Yay! Words can't express my joy. My worst student (one of my drug dealers) was expelled at his old school last year for bringing a gun to school. His parents played the system, but the paperwork just caught up with him and now he's gone. This gives me a chance to work more with the 25 kids in my class who want to learn and work on making the other 7 kids in my class who don't want to learn want to. Free at last!! |

Really great news for you in many ways I expect. Your teaching concerns have been having a big impact on other parts of your life I think. |

Rep Power: 38 | | So two more of my little darlings got suspended Friday for passing a counterfeit $10 bill in the cafeteria. It is nice to see some of my students aspiring to white collar crimes. I kept my apointment at the gym today and I found out they have a new trainer. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any info on her and her card has no email so I'll probably wind up setting up an apointment to see if she'd work out. It just makes it awkward if you say "no" and then have to see her all the time when I'm working out at the gym. Of course, that won't stop me from giving her a shot. |

Rep Power: 43 | | It's great to hear that you got to the gym!! Good for you.
Crossing my fingers for you about the new trainer. For your sake, I'm hoping she's knowledgeable and a good communicator! (I guess she does need to look like she practices what she preaches in order for those 2 other qualities to come through. ) |

I've been quietly reading your diary but I never really knew when was a good time to step in and say hello! So, Hello Cannon! Anyway, if the new trainer isn't a good fit just say, "I thank you very much for your time, but this isn't working for me right now and I would rather your time go to someone who could really maximize on what you have to offer." And if she doesn't graciously accept, or tries to bully you into more sessions, then you can take heart that she is a salesman and not a professional trainer with your best interest in mind. I hope Monday is treating you well and that your classroom starts shaping up... or shipping out... which ever you prefer |

I am still convinced I need to organize my time better so that I take the time to do things that I want to do and are good for me like posting in everybody's diary. Brunettegoddess is just the latest to step up with a nice post of support and I've been neglecting everybody's diaries.
Today is a great day. I'm off because Chicago has a large Polish community and about 15-20 years ago they made today a state holiday in honor of Casmir Pulaski the founder of the American cavalry. I took advantage of it, by making another trip to the gym. I did more weight and less reps. I truely believe that the path to the fitness I want includes me becoming an athelete again. The people I know who have really had the success I want have done it as much by exercise as by diet. The weight loss industry in this country is designed to sell you pills or a new 1,200 calorie diet you'll love while you never lift a finger. That doesn't work. Your body fights it too hard. At rest my body needs about 3,100 calories to maintain. If I can burn 750 at the gym four times a week and I can get a diet full of good food that comes in at about 2,000 calories I will get back to the success I had before. School suddenly feels much less stressful. I think one of my biggest roadblocks is gone and now I have to face my biggest obstacle--myself. This was a truely invigorating time for me last year when I started walking myself into shape. This year can be the same.
I'm off to McDonalds (I believe strongly in eating protein within 45 minutes of a workout and my coverts are bare until I shop today so I'm grabbing an Egg McMuffin) then some shopping and finally back here for school work and laundry. I feel a really bad cold coming on too . I hope I can fight it off. |
