Rep Power: 38 | | Wow its been awhile. I met with a new trainer today and I like her. She's 39 and seems to be the least trainery trainer I've met. I haven't worked out with her yet. We just had an initial consultation. She does want me doing a lot more calories and I'm nervous about that. She wants me to log what I'm eating and go up to about 3,500 calories. I'm not going to go into it more until we discuss it, but I'm looking forward to trying something a bit radical. We'll see what happens. |

Rep Power: 26 | | | Hey Cannon. A friend asked me to join her on low carb (South Beach) and man I am so full. I never knew what 25 grams of fibre could do for me. I definitely was not getting enough fibre before. Its working for me anyway.
I think changing up your program with the new trainer will be good. |

Rep Power: 38 | | | Hey thanks for visiting. Kelly its good to see you. I'll be hitting the diaries soon and I'm looking forward to learning what I can from this trainer. She has a good attitude and laughed really hard when I told her I planned to use her and toss her aside when I was done with her she was very non-hard sell which I liked and she also warned me up front that she takes a teaching approach which is very much what I'm looking for. I want to get ideas and then move forward instead of being tied down to having to work with a trainer for the rest of my life. |

Rep Power: 79 | | | actually that is excellent. So many people want a trainer just to push them into doing things, whereas i agree with you a trainer should be there not only as motivation but to teach you so you can go on without them.
Ive heard the saying and entirely agree with it. A good parent or Teacher should make themselves expendable, in the respect that the student shouldnt rely on them forever but grow and move on. |

Rep Power: 38 | | The workout went well. She trained me for like an hour 45 minutes. I hope I can condense it to less than an hour when I go on my own tomorrow. My right knee is sore and I am sure that's not good--so I'll have to go over my form on some of these things. I started trying to do the 3500 calories yesterday and boy its hard to eat that much. I got some whey protein powder which I added to my soup yesterday and my oatmeal this morning. Eating lots of small high quality meals. We'll see how it goes. |

Rep Power: 12 | | | So I'm guessing the whey protein powder doesn't taste like anything? |

Rep Power: 38 | | | I'm not extremely fond of it, so I put it in stuff to disquise it. I figure it'll be something I'll just have to get used to if it works. |

Rep Power: 43 | | I'm glad you're happy with the new trainer. She certainly sounds interesting, and as though she's offering a lot more than in- gym motivation. It will be good to hear more about your new program. |

Rep Power: 25 | | Just checking in to see how your WL is going. Glad you found a trainer who sounds like a good fit for you! Curious as to how your high cal intake will workout. Give it your best!
Cheers,

Rep Power: 38 | | Yesterday wasn't a work out day and I had a pretty big loss. I am trying to make my calories count a bit more, but I'm definitely in the 3000 calorie range. If it turns out she is right and I was starving myself even at 2000 calories I'll be shocked, but very happy to learn the truth. |

Rep Power: 12 | | Sounds like you're on the up and up with her advice... that's so great to hear! Not to mention a 1000 more cals means more food and it's clear that we're all here because we like more food |

Rep Power: 38 | | So far so good on the 3500 caloire diet, but boy do I hate the whey protein. I'm going to need to find some new ways of taking in the protein that's such a huge part of this. I'm off to the gym now. I got up early but wound up wasting a lot of time. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
