Rep Power: 83 | | Miss K, I agree, we do live in a world where we go out and sometimes splurge, and I know that's normal. My goal for next time is to listen to my body and stop when I am full. Mid point through my meal, I *knew* I was ready to stop - had that little conversation in my head, and kept eating anyway. During the movie, there were two times like I felt the food wasn't going to STAY down. That's when I knew I need to pay better attention in the future!
And Twin, YES they will be the death of us, but in the mean time, I revel in it - I love being Meg's mom, and I tell ya, she is so different from me, that there is NO question in my mind I have her for a reason - there was SO much I needed to learn
And thanks Mal I love the first picture! The second one didn't scan well and you can't see her eyes very well, but it is the picture she most loves! |

Rep Power: 83 | | Oh Mal, you're sweet, thank you!
The picture came off a camera phone and not a very good resolution, but it was the only one small enough that works for an avatar. I have some other pictures where my face looks much, ahem, fuller - but I din't want to use those And all the other pictures I have are of me with a drink in my hand! LOL! |

Sorry it took me awhile to reply. I am 5 foot 9- how tall are you? Trust me, I would love it if I could get up early to catch you... but I can hardly get up for work on time let alone an hour earlier to get some exercise in. But I will do what I can to catch up so you feel some competition from me. |

I'm 5'9" also! Getting up earlier enough for work is hard as it is! I haven't had a clock in my bedroom for almost 16 years. I found I would lay awake staring at it watching the numbers move (weird, I know)
So I've gotten to the point where I wake up early automatically - if I had an outside the house job, it would have to be different. I don't know how I would incorporate the morning walk in :\
It is good having you on my heals! Very motivational |

Rep Power: 0 | | | You're a beauty, M2m! And so tall - I'm jealous. One of my daughers is supposed to be 5'8" (if the prediction is correct) and I'm so happy for her! I'm 5'6". How did you post the photo? I've tried, but it said that the photo was too big and no matter how small I made it, it wouldn't accept it.

Rep Power: 0 | | | You're so pretty!!!!!! Lovely smile. You know in some other pictures you posted you looked like this dear friend of mine. And now in this picture you look like another dear friend of mine. Whoa!!!
You know who you remind me of ...remember that show Designing Women....and the character Charlene played by Jean Smart. You totally look like her!!! |

Rep Power: 16 | | Okay, tall chick! All this talk about height made me decide to actually measure, and 5' 5" WAS with my shoes on. I'm an inch shorter than I thought I was. Denial is apparently quite prevalent in my psyche!
Cute pic, by the way! |

Rep Power: 0 | | That's a very lovely picture of you M2M.
And... your daughter is just darling. She has the most sparkly shining eyes I've ever seen. In chinese culture, that's a sign on intelligence and wit. She must be a mastermind. Oh. And I love her hair. Soo pretty. |

Thanks for posting the pics. You and your daughter are very lovely. I haven't checked in with you for awhile. With the challenge going on, working long hours and trying to get my house in order I am slow to catch up. You look like you are in good spirits and doing great! Have a fabulous Thursday! |

I just got home - I had to take my 83 y/o mother-in-law to our nail appointment, followed by getting Meg to her swim meet (she was in 4 events and will get 4 ribbons, no lower then 4th place!), then came home, dropped her off and went to Trader Joe's to get food to take to the beach tomorrow.
I added up my calories so far and I've only had 365 - I plan on having a Lean Cuisine tonight because it's so late, which would bring the daily total to 605. Certainly not as high as it should be, but considering yesterday, I'm not going to sweat it.
I'll be gone from 12:00-5:30 at the beach tomorrow, then have to get Meg to swim practice from 6:15 to 8:15, so I won't be home until 8:30 again tomorrow. I'm planning on taking food for the whole day.
Mommyof2 - don't put a lot of faith into "predictions" for height. The summer of 4-5 grade, I grew 7 inches and was 5'7". I broke my finger and the doctor that set it came in after reading my x-rays and said "Well, young lady, you are going to be WELL over 6' tall!" I just started to cry. I already towered over everyone in school, I got my bra, my TOM and braces that year (4th) I just wanted to crawl under a rock (a big one) when he told me that. I stopped at 5'9"
Twin, I'm not sure when I became a member - I never pay attention to that info.
T2 - Um, thanks for the inserted flirt line - I think
C - thanks for the sweet words, Meg is smart and smart witted - sometimes too much so
Pineola - so good to see you popping in, I know what you mean about so much going on. I'm having a really hard time getting to everyone's diary! Especially with all the reading that goes on just to catch up LOL! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I'm glad you're planning ahead and taking food with you for the day!!!!
Planning ahead is my saving grace. I like to know exactly what I need to have and do for the next day. It's my "fail safe" plan.
I hope you have a great day tomorrow!
BTW, Thank you for that poke. It helped and I went with my family for about a mile long walk in 25 mins. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
