Rep Power: 83 | | When someone has been obese, gaining weight truly feels like a backward step - flawed thinking or no.
It's a very difficult pill to swallow.
I won't go below 8 calories per pound - I'll keep it at 10 for the next several weeks and see where it goes.
How long does it take for a metabolism (in general) to reset itself? |

I wish I knew enough about maintenance and taking breaks to offer advice about how to rev up your metabolism, but you have my encouragement and support anyway.
I think I'll read up on it. Personally I'm going to work on strength training and fitness through walking and running - what I used to do. To trim the fat.
You look beautiful in your pics, and your personality is, well, you are a unique and special person. If I have time for nothing else online, I try to find time to pop by your diary (for little gems) whether I post or not.
Thank you! |

Rep Power: 22 | | it deff wouldnt be a "backwards step" if you gained a small amount m2m because in the long run it would be moving you towards losing a lot more weight. youd be in a much better position than to begin with. anyway dont get too disheartened ... think about what advice you would give you if you were another person on this forum xxxx |

The annoyance phase sucks and I totally agree with 'obese thinking' comment. It is the nature of our beast equally. I guess we train ourselves to believe loss is our only way of saying we're successful.

Rep Power: 16 | | Hi Debi...read your posts, and can relate to your frustration.
I just checked my calendar and for 5 weeks, my weight went up and down with the same 4 pounds. Then I gained three pounds!!! I was so depressed and discouraged. BUT, after that, it steadily began dropping. And has dropped 6 pounds over the lowest point I weighed before it went up. For me, it was adding some calories that spurned the change. I didn't add a lot....and did it slowly over the course of a week...the next thing I knew I was losing again! |

Rep Power: 83 | | Thanks for all the support you guys! It means a lot!
Now - that pizza ad at the bottom of the page is really annoying me...
The text is:
"Forget counting calories and fad dieting... Get real and effective weightloss help to achieve a better body!"
So...counting calories is considered right up there with Fad Diets?
And pizza + anything equals a bikini body?
Oh brother |

Rep Power: 16 | | Speaking of pizza...here is the pizza Bruce and I are addicted to. Its 260 calories for 1/3 of the pizza...of course it is the paper thin crust that limits the calories...but it is really delicious too! I just realized that this company makes other "Primo thin crust" varieties...we get this one at Costco. http://www.palermospizza.com/Images/...Margherita.jpg |

I made one with a flour tortilla heated in a hot pan and topped it with fresh veggies and cheese...I think it was like 310 calories! It was yummy and guilt free! |

Rep Power: 51 | | | I prefer a thin crust; makes it more crunchy. What does Gouda cheese taste like compared to Mozzarella? I noticed that we can buy it here now (I know, we're a bit slow), and was thinking of trying it. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
