Rep Power: 43 | | Hi!! It's lovely to have an update from you and hear that all is going so well. Though you've decided you don't want to continue at maintenance it is quite an achievement to manage it at all. A tricky time.
It sounds like you're pretty healthy and will stay that way as long as you eat the food out of someone else's refrigerator. How exciting that you've made that progress with the guitar and are finding the band absorbing too! |

Rep Power: 83 | | Hi You Guys
Thanks for stopping by!
I've been feeling awkward, because I know I really don't have time to hit diaries much right now - life is swamped, and it's all good stuff, but time is limited!
The guitar playing is amazing, I've been loving it more then I ever imagined.
A group of my girlfriends and I just did this fun thing - we each created a cd of music that has touched our lives, or is in someway, very powerful to us due to memories, etc.
A lot of the songs I put on my cd were embarassing, in that, it's not just favorite music, but music that has special meaning - and well, those songs aren't always as "cool" as you'd think they might be while planning it
One of the songs on my list, was on the back side of an old Helen Ready 45, it was Keep On Singing. As a kid, I loved that song, would perform it on stage (my bed with a sheet strung along a rope as a curtain) and it was about a girl, who by the time she was 10, had her own band. It took me 30 years to see the realization of that dream and it thrills me beyond belief.
We have our jam practice on Tuesdays for about 2 hours, then go to the park where the kids play and we practice at the park. Then on Thursdays, while the kids are in a basketball clinic and a Spanish class, we practice together. I'm also practicing for almost 2 hours each night while Meg is swimming - not counting the time at home spending online researching songs, sheet music, online lessons, barre chords etc. It's all consuming, but more rewarding then I thought imaginable.
You'd think I was too old for this, Bob keeps joking and asking me when I turned 20 instead of 40 LOL! He said he loves having a sexy young wife! (I think I'll keep him!)
Anyhoo - I will hit diaries as I can, I've missed chatting with all of you, and keeping up with all that's going on in your lives. Summer truly is my "busy season" We still haven't started going to the beach yet! Meg is an avid boogie boarder and wants to learn to surf this year - but I'm not sure where we'll find the time
More later,

Rep Power: 0 | | I can totally relate to your story. Mine however evolved over 10 years and 3 c-sections. I use to be around 130-140 and I'm now at a whopping 240! UGH!
I just hired a personal trainer and start on Monday. We'll see where this takes me. *sigh*
You are right when you say others do not understand. The truly don't. I am new to this site, but I have already found that everyone is very supportive and understanding. I'm happy that people as nice as you are here!
Keep up the FANTASTIC work! I can't wait to say that I have lost a few pounds - or even as much as you! Wow!
Wishes,
"storm Girl" |

Rep Power: 22 | | Well, you're definitely cool. Meg and Bob are lucky, having a cool mom/sexy wife. Haha. Nice work with the guitar, by the way! It certainly sounds as though you're devoted to it. When you're famous, I want backstage passes to your shows. Oh, and sign my boobs! |

Rep Power: 16 | | | Hey Debi! How early are you coming into SD for the Rocco concert? Are you coming solo, with girlfriends, or Bob? Would love to either make the concert or at least get to meet ya! |
