Oh you guys - you have NO idea how good it was to come here and read so many positive things!!
Sillygirl, yes, these are friends I generally see at least 3 times a week, sometimes more...rarely less. It was a busy day though, we had about 40 kids devising ways to protect eggs that were being shot through the air by a launcher
I think it just boggles my mind that it isn't that noticable to anyone else. Granted, no, I haven't told anyone, at this point, morbid curiosity has me waiting until they DO notice
In the over all scheme of things, it isn't that important, T2 was right though, when he said "what really feeds a dieter's fire (in part) are those compliments" I get that here, and *I* know how far I've come.
I don't think anyone would have thought I was over 250 pounds, I think once they do notice I've lost weight, they'll be more surprised with where I started, then how much I've lost
I'll keep plugging along!
Mrs. B - I don't know about the oils, I generally use Olive Oil or Canola, but I'll check, it would be interesting to find out!
Summerbreeze - I know what you mean about how little we 'should' eat for a lot of calories when it comes to nuts - I can't get away from avocados, but I can *completely* agree with the nuts
Again, thanks for all the uplifting and supportive input, you guys ARE making this so much easier then I thought it would be!
i freaking love you and our obsession with dave (i saw what you posted on ava's diary about giving you heart attacks)
i listen to him before i go to the gym bc it wakes me up and puts me in a good mood.
which DVDs do you have? he has soooo many CDs and i'm sure my collection is definately incomplete. most of my music i downloaded from MyTunes which is this sneaky software that enables you to dl other people's ITunes. I downloaded all my dmb from people in my dorm building who were sharing their music over the network, but i need to go through and see what CDs are incomplete or which ones i don't have. phew. now i can use his CDs as motivation also! but first up is def the DVDs. i'd like to see him play--so hott am i right? i found someone to go see him in VA Beach with me so i'm SO PSYCHED to see him again july 4th--hopefully his setlist will be a little better because it wasn't as good as it usually is at the other concert
okay i'm going on and on about dmb hahaha
sucks to your friends! if i was with you right now, i'm pretty sure i would notice the...what...27 lb loss? psh, bitch please
M2M, if your friends see you that often, they won't notice the loss. It's always that way: they see the gradual change, so they don't notice. But, as you say, YOU know, and that's what matters
I have all his cd's burned from a friend who has everything DMB. My girlfriends and I get together for an "Annual All Nighter" (a mom's version of a slumber party) where we drink martinis and watch and dance to dave all night.
Attached are two pictures I put up in the 200 Club, and from the last all Dave, all night party (I'm the one in the middle, white shirt), we'll all be going to his concerts in August when he gets here.
SilverSonnet, you are right, I do see them all the time, and it has been gradual.
So now it's 8:00 and I just got home from taking my daughter to her swim team practice, and I have NO idea what to fix for dinner! This is when it's hard to make good choices, I'm hungry, and my family wants food RIGHT now (did I prep anything today?) bwwahahahaa... um no!
So before I can go read other diaries, I have to get food fixed and on the table before we actually need to sleep!
Hi MissJellyB,
In the first picture of us all on our tummys, I'm the one wearing white in the middle of the three wearing white The one white shirt with no sleeves. In the picture on the stairs, I'm the 3rd from the left.
It is fun being with my friends, my husband say we have the excuse of the week club. We have a monthly book club, with alternating mom's night outs, we go out for dinner for who ever is having a birthday, we generally have one group family thing on the weekend and 3 of our husbands are planning to be in the Baja 1000 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baja_1000) together.
Then there are the daily activities that we get our kids together for (we're all in a homeschool support group I founded back in 2000).
As for strippers, I've hired my fair share of them...ahem...
I'd rather watch Dave Mathews
I'm in South Orange County - but we camp in Santa Barbara a lot (generally 3-4 times a year in Refugio) I LOVE it up there. We have passes to the Natural History Museum
And Adriana, thanks for the kind words, I'm looking forward to tomorrow too!
Standing in the kitchen this morning he asked if I wanted a cup of coffee (I haven't had coffee in 3 weeks), he finally said, "What is going on with you? You're walking, eating better, not drinking coffee, what are you up to?"
I looked at him and said "Bob, you probably haven't noticed the effects, but I've been 'up to this' for awhile. I've lost 28 pounds.
After a long discussion, he basically said that he has been noticing but he didn't want to insult me by bringing it up. Said that he has never brought up my weight so he didn't think he should start.
Men!
Anyway, I'm off to try making another smoothie, the one I had yesterday was definitely not what I had been hoping for!
I knew it! I knew that's why he wouldn't have said anything! lol- Guys are totally afraid of bringing up weight especially if we don't ever talk about it... they don't want to insult us. Think about how you felt 28 pounds ago... did you really want him to notice your size? I know I certainly don't. Just think of it as being lucky that you have a guy who is sensitive about your feelings. Yay! He noticed!
