Rep Power: 0 | | Hey, M2M! I always call my smoothies belly busters! It is surprising how filling they are, its like the total is greater than the sum of its parts (or something like that? ). I had porridge at 6am and porridge at 11.30 am yesterday, then I had a big smoothie at 3pm and that was it ... I didn't feel hungry for the rest of the evening. I think it is because they are cold, so they slow down the stomach and it digests slower. |

Rep Power: 83 | | The smoothie was a success today Of course, I ended up sharing mine with two kids, so I only got 1/3 of it, but I made one for Bob and he loved it. Calories:
1/2 C Milk 45 Calories
1/2 C Frozen Raspberries 40 Calories
1/2 Medium Banana 54 Calories
1 C Vanilla Yogurt 80 Calories
Total 219 divided by 3 = 73 For my Smoothie
and Special K Vanilla & Almond with NF Milk 150 Calories Breakfast - 223
I have my wine club gathering tonight, I still haven't figured out how many calories are in wine - and there are always 3 casseroles (cheesy) and 3 salads (dripping in dressing), so I will have no idea how to count calories for tonight. Oh, and cheese & crackers, etc.
Joy! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | I think it's kind of cute how your husband noticed but didn't want to say anything....I think it says he cares because he didn't want to say something that would hurt your feelings. They are so backwards sometimes, aren't they, bless their little hearts. I remember after I'd lost about 30 lbs my husband said "honey, I don't want to hurt your feeling, but...." at this point I thought great, what's coming next. Then he says "your clothes are really big on you and you kind of look like a bag lady, maybe you should go buy some new ones". Now that's music to my ears!!!!!!
I love your pics, you are sooooo pretty!!!! And you remind me so much of a very dear friend of mine. I knew there was a reason I liked you!!! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Wow--you are AMAZING, M2M! I'll have to pick your brain (your's too, Aragh) about the homeschooling since one of my daughters intends to HS her kids. No real plans are in place yet, and they (twins) turned 4 in May, so I'm wanting to start pulling things together.
I'm so glad you have your girlfriends. That's one of the things missing in my life, too; at least I have my grown daughters (and a son) and a sister I'm close to, but it really isn't the same. When I lose enough weight to have a bit more self confidence, I'm going to follow in your footsteps in THAT area, too.
That cheeseburger sounds awsome! I think that will go on my menu tomorrow |

Rep Power: 83 | | Hi Everyone I won't have a lot of time on here today, but just wanted to check in.
Sillygirl, I'd love to bring vegies, but the Wine Club I'm in has a very "prescribed" way of doing things. There are 12-13 couples in our group, and each couple brings a salad three times a year, brings a casserole 3 times a year, hosts once a year and brings nothing, the rest of the time - so I it's pretty much set as to what to bring. (grumble!)
Crunchie, I haven't made it over to anyone's diary yet this afternoon, so I don't know if you posted an update about The Man I hope it goes well And I'll do what you suggest, just a little more over then my normal!
Scarlett, You are so sweet! And what a nice thing for your husband to say! Mine said something similar last night and I went out and bought a pair of pants, two shirts, sandles and a bra today! I haven't bought that much clothes in a year! Oh, and the pants (jean capris) are a size 18!! I haven't worn this size in 10 years!
Summer,
What can I say....
Dave.
'nuff said
Go check out http://www.weeklydavespeak.com/
From my friend:
"You can listen to both complete shows of the tour so far. The quality is great and it is so easy to use. You have to post 5 times to Weekly Davespeak... This is the greatest invention ever. "
You'll have to tell me if you get it to work for you, I'm going to try again, I think I was clicking in the wrong spot in her email LOL!
As for low fat cheese, for grilled cheese sandwiches, I use the Kraft 2% Low Fat American cheese. It's 50 calories a slice and I can't taste the difference since I generally put some tomato in there too
Today for lunch
1.5 oz Beef Jerkey 105 Calories
1 slice of whole wheat bread 80 Calories
1 slice of 2% cheese 50 Calories
1.5 apples 122 Calories
Lunch 357
Breakfast 223 Total 580
That leaves me with 620 to work with and each 3.5oz glass of wine is 75 calories according to fitday.com
If I have 3 glasses of wine that leaves me 405 calories to spread out over cheese, crackers, 3 casseroles and 3 salads to choose from.
BWHAHAHAHa!
I won't even know how to count the calores since half the time I don't know what's in the casseroles, ie., a small helping off a large serving spoon of a lasagne type dish
Oh well, I can't sweat it. I just know that with my cycle, I won't be losing weight this week anyway...I just don't want to make it worse by making bad choices. |

I'm back from Wine Club, and I didn't even have Wine Really, it's just too hot for me to want or enjoy any wine when the only thing that sounds good in the heat is water
As for the meal deal, I have no way of counting up the calories - if anyone has any ideas, I'll be glad to hear it!
I had:
4 small rounds (1.25 inc diamter) of bagguette bread, 2 with a slice of harvarti type cheese. (domino size and shape)
The only salad I ate was the one I brought which was a Broccoli salad from CostCo - with everything in it, the calorie content said 130 for a C. I might have had a cup to 1.5 C (it was good and filled most my plate.) Of the 3 casseroles, one was chicken, cream of mushroom soup with dollops of bisquick mix on top - I had a small bit of chicken, 2-3 oz maybe (bigger than a golf ball but smaller then ummm..an apple) and 1 to 2 TBS of the other ones, one was a chicken rice dish with no cheese, the other was a shepherd pie type dish - I know I didn't have more than 2 TBS of both of those.
My plate was mostly my broccoli salad.
So I feel good, full, passed on the deserts since I didn't know how many calories I had and overall feel like I held it together for another day
I won't be getting to diaries tonight, but I'll catch up over the next couple of days. Things will be hectic here until Monday, so I hope to catch up little bits by then.
Hope you're all doing well, and I look forward to getting to your diaries! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | what a healthy start!! model "thin"izen (okay that was supposed to be a spinoff of the word citizen..i tried..it sounds more like a lisp or something)
i haven't gotten a chance to try out the new website because i've been so busy..i'll probaby end up doing it sometime this evening and let you know what happens!! thanks for it, its amazing!
oh and CONGRATS on your food choices at that wine dine there!! i would not have been able to resist that dessert but you did and thats awesome! also, cheese and bread is my weakness. french baguettes and brie are heavenly to me mmm. good thing i'm super full off the SMOOTHIE i just made which turned out to be delicious and SO filling..try it out:
1/4th cup vanilla nonfat yogurt (20 cal)
1/4th cup "half the cal and sugar" OJ from Tropicana (13)
1 scoop Designer Whey French Vanilla Protein Powder (90)
3 strawberries (12)
1 tsp honey (5)
bunch o' ice (ZERO!)
SO filling because of the protein powder, which also makes it more thick. and you can't taste the protein that much either bc the vanilla taste kind of blends in with the vanilla yogurt taste so its not icky at all. i'm so full right now, nothing ever does that to me lol. hope your smoothie concoctions are going well also! xoxoxox |

Rep Power: 0 | | You are really doing great. It is so hard to go to events and figure out what to eat. I think you had the math wrong on the wine party. 620 calories left means you could have 8.26 glasses of wine!
Have a wonderful weekend. |

Rep Power: 0 | | Congratulations on the size 18s! I am looking forward to being able to wear capris, but I just don't think I look good in them yet. Way to go on not having the wine!
