So it bugged me in a little way, but it was nice. Quote:

Rep Power: 84 | | Ok, a revision...I just took a short 20 minute walk, I was trying not to break a sweat and only went 1.75 miles - that might be all I get for the whole weekend. Bob doesn't get home until after 5 tonight, which means it will be too dark to walk - tomorrow he has obligations all day and then Megan and I are going to her Team Banquet, leaving here by 3:30, so I don't know WHEN I'll get another walk

Rep Power: 0 | | I'm sorry to hear this M, your walking shoes won't know how to act this weekend....sitting in the corner all alone. It's ok though, you'll kick butt next week. Just remember to do the little things like parking waaaaaaaay in the back of parking lots and such to sneak some walking in.
Have a great one, and enjoy the banquet! |

Rep Power: 84 | | Woo Hoo! Just in from the swim meet!
Megan won her heat for her 50y Butterfly and brought home a Pumpkin (this is the annual Pumpkin Meet)
This is what she took off from her seated times:
3 seconds off her 100y FR
4 seconds off her 50y FR
1.49 seconds off her 50y BR - DQ for taking too many strokes under water(?)
**12** seconds off her 50y FL
She is walking on AIR!
Kinda makes not walking worth it |

The goal of every swimmer though! LOL!
She has a lot of good influence, good coaching staff, and she's surrounded by Olympians and Olympic times finalists... so she's working *towards* that direction It's slow though!
Her crowning glory though was when Dave Denniston (Olympic times finalist paralyzed in a spinal injury) presented her with one of Amanda Beard's Olympic caps - that topped swimming a relay with Natalie Coughlin surprisingly enough! |

Rep Power: 218 | | oooh i remember wheni had olympic dreams of swimming don't let those dreams die... not everyone can get an olympic meda.. but swimming scholarships... those are worth a lot more
kudos to your kid..
I like seeing girls involved in sports.. there have been so many studies that show that girls who are active in sports, are less likely to drink and do drugs.. and because of a higher level of self esteem, less likely to engage in sexual activity at a younger age...
