Turns out I won a Sansa Fuze 4GB player. I had forgotten about even being in the contest (Marlboro Pick A Band thingy). The beauty of this player is it has an FM player which my iPod doesn't (and video, too, but that's no concern to me during walks). I also get 1000 songs from Rhapsody FREE!! (think 80's, baby!!).
So I gotta charge this bitch up and get to know my way around with it. Yeah, I passed on going out with Reba tonight. I'm kinda not feeling it with the human race at the present.
All I can say is: Fuck hard - Fuck often. Here's to red openings !! oye!! | Quote:

Don't disappoint by not properly documenting that 'dream'. Of course I'd want details, you understand | Congrats on the prize! I hope it doesn't make you feel to frustrated (while you're doing the getting to know it thing), before it gives you a nice big happy pay back.
I'm sorry about Reba. I hope you can find a way to get passed the next stage that's not too tough on you. |

I took out for a test run today. I walked 2.5 hours. The FM mode was all I ran. I have to give Rhapsody my cc numbers and such, tho legit, perhaps, I couldn't bring myself to fulfill the required data - just yet, anyway. As I read it, I'll have to swap my music files to Windows Media Player. I'm not really up for the task today. All told, the sound is premium. A nice snag to add to my growing player collection. iTunes has served me well but sadly Sansa Fuze won't mesh up with the Apple family. Always a hook, isn't there.
I also stopped in for a visit to check in on my brother. A good chat was had. I'm sorry I've buried his story deeply back into my diary. Probably for reason for the better. But hey, it's not all bad news on his behalf. He's lost close to 180 lbs to date. The other factors are too long-winded to get into right now.
I'm very proud of his effort to save his own life. He's to be commended.
I went ultra lean all day yesterday and I'm way under again today. I have a combo family dinner to go to tomorrow. I'm fighting social relapse but that I'll attend. Family first. |

Rep Power: 43 | | The non-compatible music format thing is a pain isn't it? I just had something smaller but similar to deal with (and I gave up in the end). Still I expect you will keep having fun with this new toy.
It's truly amazing to hear that your brother's weight loss has been so great. I know you have wished for this a long time. You're right he is to be commended - that sort of turn around must be so hard to even start. You have good reason to be proud. |

Given the investment dotcom'ers make, I can understand selfish platforming, however, us users will continually pray for unified compatibility globally to no avail
My day has been such a train wreck, I never did get around to doing anything with it. Obscure early dinner launched an ill-timed nap leaving me on the wrong side of my clock. Quote:

5 bones (half rack) of BBQ ribs, 8 hot wings, 1 baked tater and a tiny side of BBQ baked beans. I guess this could be a 2000 cal. meal - tops, tho.
A point of interest: When we arrived, we thought the place was closed because there were only a handful of cars in the parking lot. As history has shown us, this place is usually a 20-40 minute wait without reservations (which we made just because) on Sunday afternoon. Only 3 other couples were there at 1pm and no family clusters at all.
Of course, I have to smoke outside and while enjoying a Marlboro, the manager came out for one, also. I asked him how far off business was and he replied sales were off 70% in 2009. He further stated that one, maybe two more months was about all the longer the owner was planning on toughing it out before he locks the doors.
Our bill for 11 was 330.00 (tip included), the manager announced he took 20% off total food bill in an attempt to lure us back - hopefully very, very soon. I guess in the business mind if the day is already fucked, you might as well dip a little lower in the hopes of winning over rapid loyal clientele turnaround.

The last 24 hours have been evil. I was already off-kilter trying to seek schedule normalcy only to be awoken to the sound of rushing water. My water meter apparently blew up. So, I had to go shut the water off and fetch a new meter and install that. It didn't help we just set March low temp records the last two days (more than likely that's why the meter committed suicide)
I spent the last 6 hours reformatting my pc. I do this every few months. I think I'm now convinced that before the Year of Our Lord 2009 ends, I'm investing in a congo-sized external or flash drive. I just have way too much music and pics and stuff. Reformatting has turned into a preparatory hassle bigger than the hassle it normally is.
I found a very cool site that swaps iTunes to Window Media Player. I hope to get busy with that here soon. I already ate my supper for the day (at 3:30pm which is rare) because I just had the urge. I really have no wiggle room for the day now. I hope to stay steady with only a bag of popcorn or catabolic snacks until tomorrow. I feel so tired eating this early. It's almost like my body feels at 2:00am. I hate it more this is day two without a walk or any other form of exercise.
Counting the days to sunshine and warmth, here. |

the most exercise i get at work is lowering the safety legs underneath pups | Aaaah, the blessed life of a Yard Dog! Nice life. Well, at least you don't have a hydraulic 5th wheel (I take it) and you're getting some exercise jumping in and out of the cab all day, too.
I've seen those Walmart jockeys move 200 trailers in a shift and their feet never hit the ground. Just stand on the cat walk, hook up the service side and shove the trailer up in the air and boogie. The ultimate in laziness and still be home every day.
Believe me, Driver, when I was at my heaviest, cranking the dolleys was about the hardest exercise I did - and I'd break a sweat (and not be very happy about it, either). I tried to stay married to my trailer just avoid the manual labor. Yeah, I had it that bad back then.
Best of luck on here. Quote:

Best of luck on here. | nope....we DO have 3 yard tractors with hydraulic 5th wheels....i hardly ever crank.....only when im breakin down the sets that the road drivers were to lazy to break down.....
your right crakin the landing gear can be a bitch sometimes...all i do is hook up the lines and drop the legs on the pups.....thats about the only times i get out of the truck besides refueling and to open/close swing doors
swing doors are a bitch!
best of luck to you to brother, you can reach your goal if you really set your mind to it (corny as that might sound we all know its true) | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
