Rep Power: 31 | | T2: It took me a good minute of staring to figure out what the heck your avatar was a picture of.... I guess your foot is still bothering you eh? Are you weight training while you can't be on your feet?
OHD: I hope my magic cooties help you!
I'm doing good...of course I'm doing good, I started the week at 193.5 and I'm ending it at 189. It's been a great week---even though I was whining and complaining about not losing weight on Monday and Tuesday. Anyway. I'm really excited that my hard work is showing up on the scale. I wanted to be down 15 pounds by time school starts and I think I can do it...just one more little pound. Even if I don't...14 pounds in 38 days isn't to bad!! I checked my old diaries and on January 29, 2001 I weighed in at 183 (that was after two months of slimfast, I started at 196) so I'm almost to where I was 5 1/2 years ago--which is cool. I should most certainly be down a pants size by then...and hopefully I'll be able to say goodbye to elastic waists forever! I'm hoping to reach my 175 pound goal before my birthday in December---I'd like to ultimately be around 140 but I can't even think about that yet. 175 first, that's the most important goal for me. I put on a pair of capris that I bought in July and they give me what John calls 'saggy butt', which means there's a load of fabric back there that's just floppin' around. I also notice that there was a lot of loose fabric in the front too...which is great! It means all those sit-ups are actually doing something! I totally think I'll make my September 15th goal of 5000 situps.....I might even up it to 10,000 before Thanksgiving. Anyway, I have to remember this post when two weeks from now I'm whining again that I'm fat and haven't lost any weight. I also noticed that I started dropping the weight faster when my calories were between 1100-1250 and I ate more salad. I had a great salad today...it was called Fiesta Chicken---yummy. My dog is hunting for a dog treat.
Ok, so now that you've read through my ramblings and tangents I hope ya'll have a great weekend! |

Rep Power: 31 | | A Kaitie and John Update!!
It's official, John has lost 20 pounds and is now at 474 pounds. I hope that he can keep up the good work and that he can be around 440 by Christmas. 34 pounds in 4 months...that's doable right?
It's rainy and miserable here....blah. |

Rep Power: 66 | | Nice going you two !!
Any goal is doable that you two set out to do - I hope you add in some patience to your recipe. Let's face it, you're sooooooo far ahead of John it's not even funny but if I was him, I could have a ball in the pusuit of trying to catch up to ya. What a great why to lose weight !!
and yeah, our Pa. weather sucks about as bad as your NJ weather today. Not a good holiday starter |

I'm nervous b/c school is starting on Tuesday and I feel like I've caught a little cold. I took my vitamins and just ate an orange. I even had some PB&J on wheat bread to help give me a little protein as well. Hopefully I won't have to stand outside with the freakin' dog anymore waiting for him to do his business. It's cold and windy here in NJ today! A giant branch Like 5 inches thick broke off one of our trees and landed in the street....so we had to clean that up in the rain *roll eyes* but at least it didn't land on our cars
Oh well, out to go birthday shopping! |

Rep Power: 51 | | Ugh, I got your cold too. I hate feeling like this.
Congratulations on the 4 lbs! You're doing so awesome! I'm trying to catch up; I seem to be losing about 4 oz a day regularly, so if I keep it up, I'll have my 2 lbs gone by Monday! Way to go John! |

Rep Power: 38 | | Hey Katie, I'm a 7th grade teacher in Chicago. School has me very nervous about the whole weight loss thing. I'm thrilled to hear that your hubby is doing well too. Thanks for popping by my diary. I believe 34 pounds in 4 months is doable when you're as heavy as John and I are. In fact my own goal is close to that. |

Rep Power: 31 | | Cannon are you worried about the teachers room---the fact that there always seems to be some form of donut, danish, cake, or other yummy yet deadly food item?
I think my biggest concern is that I'll be too tired to go to the gym after school is over. It's really hard to be on over-drive all day and have to continue it for another hour or so when you'd like to be at home plopped on the couch.
Well I keep feeling like I messed up this weekend. Yesterday I stayed pretty close on target with my calories but I fear that my mashed potatoes might cause some havoc and mayhem on my weight-loss and today I got some vegitarian (sp) with my salad and it put me 216 calories over my 1400 limit. POOP!! I wouldn't have gotten it if I knew it was 344 freakin' calories. (I'm hoping fit-day is wrong.) Exercises for today:
3.2 miles on the bike
75 *shock* sit-ups I was seriously going to finish them but I did 75 and went to another machine to rest and other people took over and I couldn't get back!
150 Torso Twists
50 reps on the Rowing Machine
I feel like I need to do something to get off the 200+ extra calories I ate today...but at least they were vegatables...can't be that horrible right? I'll just have to buckle down again on Monday. |

Rep Power: 66 | | In many cases a lot of vegetables are catabolic and a 200 caloric intake may equate into a 400 burned deficit of calories, again a lot depends on a lot in this situation, what veggie(s) ?? canned with sugar added ?? cooked in butter ?? blanched in oil ?? and so on. Outside of small amounts of roasted red potatoes, there isn't great hope for diet-type results for that family. All one can hope for is diligent portion control. |

Rep Power: 38 | | We haven't had a teacher's room for 3 years. We're too overcrowded with specialists. We don't even have a fridge or a microwave. My concern is stress and varying what I bring to school enough that I can eat it until the end of the year without being tempted to just skip lunch and get a burger on my way home. Variety is the key here |

Rep Power: 31 | | ^ Great job with the sit-ups...they are not easy. But the results are going to be fantastic!!! *dreams of her flat tummy*
The good news is that my clothes are all baggy....my shirts too, the sleeves on my tanks tops keep fallin' down!! Yeah!!
The bad news...I was way higher on my calories this weekend than I wanted. Nothing over 1700 calories but still...I was trying for 1100-1200. I'll snap back to it tomorrow. I hope I can get that pesky pound off by Tuesday so that I can officially say '15 pounds' when (if) people notice that I've lost weight.
More good news! My brother-in-law who was left flat broke and heart-broken when his bitch of an ex-wife left him 1 1/2 ago is getting MARRIED!!! Yeah!! I love his girlfriend, she's so freakin' nice and they look so good together!!! YEAH!!!
Ok, see ya'll later! |
