wow impressive!
I need to work on my tummy. I do exercises at the gym but they really still need more work. My abs suck compared to when i was younger.
Your diary amuses me! and your cats and puppy are so so so precious! I'm a cat person as well. Once I move out on my own I'm sure I'll own 5.
You and your husband are doing fantastic! My boyfriend tries to help me by eating healthier too but he always gives in:P plus he does free weights to build muscle so he needs more food than I do.
I have to conclude...that after a week of torture that I have somehow managed to gain back 2 freakin' pounds. I really have no idea how it has happened...I exercised every damn day and my calorie intake has been way lower than the amount of calories I'm burning. I don't get it and frankly I'm a little pissed off about it. Grr.
I'm sorry Kaitie. I know how frustrating it can be to gain weight when you are obvioulsy trying so hard to lose it! The only answer is is that you have gianed muscle. It may not make you happy with the number on the scale right now it but it will pay off in the long run! Cheer up!! You're doing a great job!
Katie, sorry to hear about that. I know that can be really frustrating! My only advise is try not to concentrate on that scale for now, and keep doing what you're doing! I guess is that with all the exercise your body needs to repair and heal itself, and whenever that happends, you'll tend to retain water. Plus, like HF is saying you probably gained some muscles too. I think you should pat yourself in the back for all the exercise you did and for eating right. If you stick to it, the weight will go down!
Dont be discouraged... you could just be gaining muscle and muscle weighs more, but in the long run it burns more calories so you will loose more!! I bet thats it!!!!!!!! Keep on going!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today I rode the stationary bike for 5 miles (mostly at level 3), did 40 chest pushes, 15 over head presses, 15 shoulder pushes, and 200...yes 200 sit-ups!! I think I can do a total of 5000 sit-ups before September 15th....and hopefully by then I'll be able to see some results in the tummy area.
I think my dog has adhd---he is just a wild little puppy. He is now chasing his tail. Freakin' hyper puppy!
Don't overlook the possibilty of new muscle weight being added. You really seem to be working out a lot, just wondering if that might be a source of new lbs.
I wish I could do all of that weight stuff you do... You are hanging in there and sticking withit! You are one motivated girl My grandma's dog is adhd, I swear he is! He is like the tazmanian devil! Are you going to keep him?
Hey Kaitie... my dog is crazy too! He runs around like he is on fire and then leaps into the air onto you. He is 50 lbs now so he nearly knocks me over!!! I hope this doesn't continue when he's reached his full weight of around 90 lbs!! hahaha
Yeah...he's such a cute puppy, wild but cute and I'm so going to keep him. He slept in my bed this morning, it was cute as heck!
Good news, down to 196 today....yeah!!! Now, I think I'm going to have John hide the scale from me so that I won't obsess so much this week. I took my measurements yesterday and they scared the crap out of me (eek!) but at least if I'm not losing pounds I can see if my muscles are developing.
Those Jerry Springer videos of that guy who claims to be 700 pounds, there's really no way he's 700...all that fat on him, he's gotta be near 1000, was freaky and made me feel not to bad, hey 196 is skinny compared to 1000 pounds! But it still made me sick, the way that the wife was giving him the food that was making his so fat...how even knowing that he's a beached whale she still didn't have the hutzpa to give him good food. It takes just as much time to stop at KFC to get a bucket of fried chicken as it does to stop at the grocery store and pick up a 'pre-made' grilled chicken salad. I'm sure it doesn't taste as yummy as the KFC but you'd think that they'd realize that they've tasted enough yummy food to last a lifetime. How could he be content with just sitting there all day....after the first, let's say month of not being able to move you'd think that he'd try to start doing some exercises from the bed. He could've done some arm weights or leg lifts, butt crunches...something. I really just can't believe that someone would let themselves get so fat that they couldn't move...and still not do anything about it. I tried to look up some information about the guy but I couldn't find anything. I think Springer did that show in 1998, so I imagine the guy could really be at a great weight now if he stuck with it. I'm curious to see.
