Glad to hear you've still got dh for a vice Wishes...lol.
I don't think that Cabbage soup or Sacred Heart diet is a problem for one week. As long as it doesn't cause you to binge after a week of deprivation.

I havnt been lifting much for weeks, just the occasional drop in every couple weeks, mostly sticking to cardio of various sort, though i havnt had time for that either. I already rarely have anything with much sodium except for the odd treat, and i drink HEAPS of water every day.

Yeah i generally dont binge, if i want a treat then ill work it into my calories and have a few less on other meals, it takes away the deprived feeling that way.

Work today was a bugger. Not so much the work, but one of the chicks had a birthday and brought the biggest mamoth carrot cake ever into the office.
Now i quit smoking, im on patches, but i still have the hurge to do *something*. So eating is a natural choice, of course i cant do that so i just sit feeling like im missing something and craving something. The patches make it not as bad as it could be, but having this huge cake in front of me was aweful. At least it was in the kitchen where i could deliberatly not go near it.
Then 1 person went round with slices and put one on my desk. Now these guys KNOW im quitting smoking and on a diet, i said 'NO THANKS!' real loud and got a 'surely you're allowed to cheat or break the diet once in a while' to which i replied 'I didnt loose this amount of weight eating shit like that, thanks but no thanks'
Meanwhile i was dieing inside. Then 5 mins later somebody else walked past and put yet ANOTHER slice of this cake, so we had to go through this yet again. *ANGST*
I tried explaining that the piece of cake had AT LEAST 500kcalories and if i ate it i would not be able to eat for the rest of the day.
Then lunch time came, and people did the usual heating up pies and stinking the office out, i lasted till 1pm then decided 'screw this im going home' so im sitting at home now working from home where there are no smells and i can catch up with washing.

Im going away tomorrow to the school camp, ill be gone until friday arvo.

Ugh, blech! What a day at the office. You should be extremely proud of yourself for passing on that cake while also quitting smoking. I think people are so stupid sometimes.
Enjoy camp Wishes.

Funny you mention smells. My sense of smell has come back about ten-fold, I'm not sure this is always a good thing (at times like you went through today).

Is this your first quit ?? I did quit for 3 years once...

This time feels much much much harder but I'll get there and so will you

Nah ive quit before, twice before in fact :/
This time i was on top of it within months, but its still bloody hard. I think harder each time to be honest because i cant eat to compensate.
Im not entirely convinced now that the patches help *that* much either other than prolonging it. I should have just gone cold turkey. Fast and painful, get it over and done with, rather than this 4 weeks of hell before moving to a lower dose and another 4 weeks of hell.

The people i work with are either, Naturally skinny weedy people who either CANT eat lots or just dont, or never gain weight. OR they are overweight and dont seem to give a rats ass.
Mostly the first one, there are only 2 guys overweight. One guy eats tons and doesnt gain weight (though he is somewhat a high energy drummer in a band guy). The others just dont eat much more than a thimble at any one time, so left parts of cake on their desk for me to drool over everytime i went and confered with them

Im told the cake was too sweet and not hugely nice, though i still would have killed for it :O

OH! And that's excellent you chose to quit smoking. I smoked from age 14-18 1/2, and I haven't taken a single drag since. Well, I have puffed a few blunts. But no cigarettes.

Your experience in the office is why I am SO glad I work at home. Congrats to you for all your will power. I melt when I see carrot cake.

Camp was fun, didnt burn as many calories as i wanted because it rained the entire time until we went home.
Ate pretty much within calories though the milk was whole fat i think so i probably went a little over. I still ate less than i used in total and i was walking about etc most of the time or standing outside in the rain soaked!
Also im guessing having no sleep probably uses more calories than sleeping too

Everything that could go wrong did go wrong, however the kids had fun
Rain flooded out kayaking, absailing, the bus bringing the kids crashed, the bush walk was blocked halfway along so they had to go all the way back and find a new route, the roof leaked, somebody threw up in the teachers/parents toilet sink and didnt clean it up, food was awesome except one batch of chips which made several people violently ill. cuts, grazes, bruises, stitches, but no broken bones. Almost lost the partially autistic kid who decided to 'run away' at 11pm at night, only he was running towards the swollen creek instead of the road (luckily he was spotted and then sent home).
Power failure for a couple hours halfway through the movie we had instead of the bonfire ... the bonfire was cancelled because of the rain.
The most actual planned exercise was when i was pacing up and down the dorm with 16 girls trying to get them to sleep. They were finally quiet and i would call any child i heard talking etc. So since i was sitting in the pitch black bored senseless for an hour i did some sit ups and press ups etc.
Anyway, i had to pickup 2 extra kids after school so i still have 5 kids here at home, and im SOOOO tired.
I ate more than usual at lunch, im a bit too tired to eat dinner i think anyway, or at least anything big for dinner. And i have to get up at 6am tomorrow to help a friend with her garage sale :/

Ill catch up with everyone later, and weigh in tomorrow morning.
