Sounds like you just need to plan in some time to just kick back, though the cycling must be restorative, sort of an active relaxation therapy. I find my early AM walks to be that way. This time of year I get to see the Sun rise each morning. We'll go to daylight savings time (or off it...I can't keep it straight) soon and I'll wake up and walk in darkness
But watching the Sun rise (or set) is one of those relaxing things (for me) like sitting in front of a bonfire or watching the surf roll in... kind of an accelerated relaxation. Handy in a time management sort of way
David C | Yeah it is a nice time/place to think as well, but im often knackered and tired lol.
Going away tramping this weekend all going well. Its an overnighter! Quote:

Rep Power: 79 | | yeah its hard sometimes to get kids out and about.
But if i ban PS2, computers, etc they have the option of books or outdoor sports.
We often get the old Sega Lock-On game and run around a park shooting each other
its both fun and gets them out and running. |

Thank goodness the damage was limited and nobody was hurt!
When I was a kid my (much) older Sister and her family came to live with us for a time following a fire in their house. They spent a lot of time (weeks) repainting and cleaning. The smell of the smoke had permeated everything and much of it had to be pitched.
I hope your situation is better!
Did they determine the cause of the fire? Electrical?
Again, thank goodness nobody was hurt!

Rep Power: 79 | | | umm, yeah, cause of the fire was ... *ahem* ...... me !
That just teaches you not to put on a pot of oil to deep fry things eh!
got distracted when husband got home from work, then we ended up going up to the shops/mall so i could get groceries (funnily enough because i had nothing to cook other than deep fried crap from the back of the freezer).
Anyway i left the pot of oil on the stove. Luckily it had a lid on it. Even luckier that i had full insurance and its gonna only cost me $150 |

Rep Power: 13 | | | Ahh don't feel too bad about it. I've done similar. One afternoon, wifey was away, and as I drove into the driveway, I sensed something was wrong, I couldn't tell what. So I got into the house, put a hotdog (or 4) on to boil and went out to have a look.
Damnation!!! There was a huge tree missing from our front yard! One a meter in diameter at the base! Gone! Just a stump! That's what was wrong! there was sun where there wasn't supposed to be!
The town had taken down the tree by mistake, turns out, I was spitting and fuming! Long story short, we eventually got a reasonable settlement from the town so it all turned out okay.
Did you forget about the hot dogs I put on to boil? I did! went in about 45 minutes later and the house was filled with smoke! The water had boiled out of the pan, the meat had incinerated to dust and the pan (what was left of it) was glowing red.
Course, like an idiot I tried to grab it- but fortunately let go at the sound of pork sizzling (my hand) and dropped it and it fell to the floor and put a huge scorch mark on the floor...
So don't worry, accidents happen to the best of us...and me too!

Yeah accidents happen, we're kinda living everywhere else and eating everywhere else but at home atm.
I mean home is ok burn wise, but the dust/soot is EVERYWHERE.
Even gotta scrub the toilet seat before sitting on it.
We sleep at home but leave as soon as we get up.
Taking food to friends place to eat (though they keep feeding us their food).
Its hell on the diet, ive been having a few ciggys now and chocolate and generally doing stressed bad behavior.
Tonight we're having take aways. Butter chicken. Yeah its bad for ya, but damn we need something nice |
