Rep Power: 10 | | You know, it's maddening having to cut your calories like that, but it's also absolutely fantastic that you're able to make these adjustments and do whatever it takes to reach your goals. You're such an impressive person.

Rep Power: 8 | | I see you're trying to cut back on calories to get rid of the last bit of weight. I know 1200-1500 can be tough. It's what I've been trying to do since I started. You'll be able to up them again though, right? I'm actually curious about that...how do I know when I should increase my own intake?
In any case, hang in there. Your weight loss is so damn inspiring, wishes. You know damn well that you can get there. We're all rooting for ya! |

Rep Power: 80 | | ooops - 1600ish calories - possibly a few more than less in there. Its been a long shit day today.
Pharinet, you increase em when you get closer to your goal
I was going for exercising the last couple kg away but clearly that wasnt working (considering how much exercise i get lol).
anyhoo, developer team lunch crept up on me which is why the excess calories came from - i actually had a 200 calories lunch and ended up eating 700. Just as well dinner was pasta and fairly low.
Supposed to be cycling tomorrow morning - i was gonna go with the 5am crew but i dont think ill be able to get up that early. Ill settle for the 7am bunch instead. |

Rep Power: 16 | | Never go for the 5 am group... that is just too damn early (it makes the rest of us look terrible if you do and that will depress us and make us eat more crap and put on weight, so not going with them will make you help us feel better which will make us lose weight and so you are really doing a favour to humanity by not going that early!!)!!!!!!!
I eat around 1200-1500 and it is doable, some days more than others, but definitley doable! Eat a lot of lettuce! It really helps, you can eat like 2 kg of lettuce and you have only eaten 2 cals !
How much do you really exercise a day? I mean me, as one of the not so active crew, is amazed at almost anybody's exercise regime, but yours sounds gruelling (and inspiring... I need to get out of bed and into the gym... oh wait, pneumonia! That was my excuse for this week!!).
Have a good day (I have been practising my australian and I am almost perfect in saying G'day mate! But I am not sure if that is used in NZ too... so I have not tried it on you yet!), Camy |

Rep Power: 218 | | I get up at 5am every work morning - that's early - and the most amount of activity i can muster is showering, coffee and getting dressed.. - i couldn't imagine getting up and actually having to be active beyond coffee.. i'm not sure whether that's just insane - or totally motivated.. |

Ill go cycling later on for a couple hours if we have time.
We are having people over for a BBQ tonight and party so i expect the calories to possibly soar a little - eeek! |

Rep Power: 80 | | oh god do i suck. seriously. I tried to curb it but i ate and ate and ate ...
6 easter eggs, tons of lamb (without fat), tons of beef steak, a couple chicken sausages (low cal thank god) plus popcorn and other crap + 1 cup of booze.
Total calories for the day was like 2500 of what i remembered but i estimate 500 more on the usual forgotten stuff. Plus i didnt go cycling yesterday.
I was up until 2am so turned the alarm off and wasnt gonna go cycling this morning after only 4 hours sleep.
Unfortunatly i woke up at 6.30am and couldnt get back to sleep so feeling the guilt of all that food the night before i thought id get a quick 40-50km in and be back by 9am to make breakfast for everyone else who would be getting up about then.
So geared up, started up the road and about 2km down the road ran into a bunch so i followed them for about 5km and started chatting with them. Cyclists are all incestuous bunch and i knew a couple from another group i was in and recognized a few from bike shops. Anyway they invited me along for their ride which turned out to be one nasty ass 75km of hills.
Talk about a workout and a half, i got back in time to meet up with my usual bunch id been to late for at the cafe but they had only done 55km so finished early and most had left the cafe, so i headed home.
Since i had only planned on doing a short ride i hadnt eaten anything but a banana for breakfast, then done 75km ride. Luckiy i pack a couple muesli bars and ate those on the ride. Im sticking with veg and fruit only today after yesterday. |

Rep Power: 80 | | oh on another note. an old friend from years back turned up, he arrived and couldnt get out of his car just sitting gaping at me. took him about 2 mins of gaping at me to get over the shock of the weight loss and then get out.
All evening he was acting weird and saying stuff like 'i just have to remember "cant have her! shes with my friend!"' and other stuff (about me). I thought it was kinda flattering but he said stuff like that all night and then would turn away covering his eyes and groaning kinda thing like i was to hot and he couldnt stand it style thing. A bit over the top i though .....
Anyway, as it turns out i said to my hubby this morning "was he ok? was he drunk when he arrived? he was sure acting a little over the top .." to which he replied "umm the problem is that he has it bad for you .. he always has .. the fat that you've lost weight and look totally hot just sent him over the top"
I thought he was shitting me and said as much but as it turns out this guy had it bad for me even when i was overweight and i had no clue. Apparently whenever i was in the room he acted all weird and stuff ... of course i never noticed because he always acted that way around me (hey i just assumed he was a flirt and sleaze!)
Anyway so im gobsmacked that some dude had a thing for me for years and years and i had no idea. And no, im so not interested in him, not really my type (though hes a nice enough guy, and cute).
He spent the night in a spare bed so he wasnt drinking and driving and was gone by the time i arrived back from my cycling. |

Rep Power: 12 | | Hahaha. That is so friggin' hilarious about your friend! You hubby must be beaming with pride in you. He got THE girl.
So anyways about the weight. Push onwards, gal. Now this next comment may not be a good one so feel free to bite my head off... With your major accomplishments and all. Do the last couple pounds really matter? Maybe your goal should be adjusted to where you are now. You are really kicking some a** on the biking. Maybe that is where your goals should lie. Screw the last few pounds and let the cycling goals take over. Maybe you need the calories and such to do the amazing cycling you do. Don't forget, you probably really are smaller and more compact than you think, because some of the weight is skin and not fat.
I'm sorry if I'm completely off the mark and being a complete dumba**... you won't ban me from your diary will you? I love peeking in on you and having you do the likewise in mine. Hope you're having an amazing weekend! |

Rep Power: 80 | | lol nah im pretty hard to piss off, or offend
ive thought the same thing on many occasions. I look good, do i really want/need to loose those last few lb .... my goal was set .... and it was higher than the average persons goal (yeah i know im heavy anyway ... lotsa muscle), but i feel somehow lame that i can loose all that weight and not get those last pesky pounds.
I could probably go to 65kg (145lb?) but would look a tad skinny on me i think. And i do prefer the normal look.
My main concern is i have belly, ass, and thigh fat i still want gone. So its not the weight so much as i want that little pesky bit of fat gone
There is no fat up top (no boobs either!) and no fat on the legs from just above the knee downwards, its just the middle bit :/ | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
