so ... i just bought a new bike. Its selling currently for $6k, i managed to get it for a little over half that *totally happy*
Its super smooth ride, should really help my riding speeds i think a lot. I pick it up tomorrow night, right before going riding with the bunch i ride with )
actually i did put on some bib shorts yesterday, lets just say the bib did not cover my chest but framed it nicely, looked wickedly fantasitic, like some kinda porn star. covering all the bad bits of my body nicely and showing off what good bits i had. Almost tempting to get a photo except its against my morals to do half naked photos of myself (even if i do look really hot!)
new bike rides strangely, different angles, different muscle groups. My average speed has gone down dramatically, but i kinda guessed that would happen anyway until i get used to it. Very smooth ride, its the difference between cheap bourbon and the expensive stuff. They both do the trick, but one is smoother, classier, way more desireable and nice! oh yeah and costs 4x the price
Hardest part about being on limited calories and not eating breads etc, is cycling gives me wicked headaches if i go too long.. So until i get to my goal weight im going to have to stick with shorter routes, which suits me fine anyway until i get used to the bike.
Anyway time to go cook my pumkin and steak for breakfast.
yeah keeps me filled for AGES.
Im debating staying gluten free since ive felt so darned good cutting that kinda stuff out. I dont want to go without forever but id like to find a happy medium somewhere that includes lowering it.
I finally got to update my ticket, i lost the couple lb i re-gained, and now have lost another so yeah horah!.
Its funny, the difference 3-5lb makes when you are so close to your goal. I mean looks wise, its the difference between chunky and sleek/hot.
Yeah i wouldnt trust that Debi, she was telling me just the other day how she was hanging out at a biker bar!
Cycling seems to be an older generation sport mostly over here. i figure about 80% of the cyclists i know are over 40 and have a good leg up on 50. Dont get me wrong, those older guys can kick the pants of some of the younger guys at times, and they are extremely pleasent to hang out with as well
