Rep Power: 13 | | Don't eat bread if it makes you feel icky, silly!!!
And man, your exercise routine... just looking at it made me tired... I was all proud I had managed to swim at all today (felt like NOT swimming!). I think your menus look healthy and varied (and I LOVE lamb! Lamb rocks! I used to think I couldn't eat lamb because it made me sick, but then found out about my coeliac's and that it wasn't the lamb, it was actually the gravy! Man was I relieved!), but maybe try to eat more salads... I like to eat salads because they are a lot of chewing for not so many calories (plus I dig the taste!). So I feel like I have been eating forever, but actually only consume few calories.
Good luck with the surgery, recovery time should really not be too bad for a kidney... you will be up and about in no time!

Rep Power: 79 | | lamb tastes best with mint sauce anyway rather than gravy
Okay more home made bread last night, about another 4 large slices - god it was nice too and i never went for the job i was intending on (we had a guest over).
It was all i could do to wash my hair before bed i was so knackered. And then i couldnt sleep for ages so managed to sleep through my alarm clock and not go to the gym gaahh!
Porridge for breaky and another large slice of fruity loaf bread.
No idea what im having for lunch or dinner yet, i have to go up the road and get GAS so ill see what i can find. |

Rep Power: 79 | | well its official i suck at getting up early and going to the gym. Though to be fair i havnt been sleeping to well because i keep thinking about surgery and moving house and all major stuff. I bettter get that crap overwith because im not moving for 2 months!
Yesterday breaky was porridge, lunch was grapes, palm size steak and vege. Dinner was 2 sausages in bread.
Breakfast today was grapes and a trim mocha. Lunch was the steak and veg again, no idea on dinner since i havnt been shopping yet.
So though i seem to have got the overeating under control which i think was largely because i was smoking with friends and getting all cravy, i didnt manage to get out of bed this morning again. On the plus side my mnuscles arnt sore today for the first time in a week lol. Ill do the gym thing tonight and go shopping i think. Stir fry sounds good and cheap meals. |

Rep Power: 12 | | Reading your diary always makes me so darn hungry. This ain't helpin', you know! So how do you like to cook the pumpkin you're always eating? I never think of making pumpkin.
I am not a work-out in the morning person. I hate waking up more than anything, so why would I want to make it even worse by torturing myself on the treadmill? Much better in the evening, for sure.
Any news on the preggie ex-girlfriend front? How's your son managing? |

Rep Power: 79 | | Oh nah shes not preggie, just faking. But i got her in a lot of trouble for telling the place she stayed at lol.
Okay dinner last night was SFA, pretty much a couple slices of toast, couple cheesy chicken sausages (they are sooo good for 130 cal each!) and thats about it. I hit the gym in the evening for an hour workout and then shopping.
Im trying to do running, but oh the legs are really hurting. It amazes me that i can do all that cycling and using of muscles and then run and get new ones!
Breakfast was porridge again, no slice of toast though!, Lunch was 2 chicken sausages, and then .... a snack pack KFC (tiny ships, and 2 chicken nibbles). Not so good!
Dinner is shepards pie, i made it last night. Its about 500gms minced meat, 1kg vegetables, 3 cans tomatos chopped, and 2 packets of flavouring/gravy stuff. topped with mashed potato.
So its pretty much all vegetable which is good, but tastes really yum
Had a mental at the hubby yesterday. I got up, got to work early after getting kids ready, then worked all day, went home, picked up the kids, cooked them dinner, fed them, went out to the gym, did grocery shopping, got home at about 8:30-9pm Put a loaf of bread on and prepared and cooked the next evenings dinner so i only have to reheat it. and the husband is throwing a wobbly about not getting his dinner.
Im like running around trying to get things done whilst hes sitting on his anus playing on a computer. Its not like we didnt have pies in the freezer or bread, cheese and tons of other foods. But that wasnt good enough, he wanted a proper meal with meat and potatos and veges which he wont eat anyway!
I just told him where he could stick it, and perhaps when he was done sticking it there he could get off his ass and actually cook dinner for once or do other chores!
I think he had a couple slices of toast for dinner in the end
So today legs are a hurting, but in a good way. Im downloading Tour de France so i can burn it to DVD and watch it whilst on the bike at home with my daughter.
If i dont do that ill go to the gym aqain, im determined to be able to run more than 13 minutes non-stop. I think i stop mostly because im bored more than anything else - so perhaps better music may help |

Rep Power: 79 | | ok grrr still battling the overeating.
I swear it is nerves and stress from moving and sugery. Ive never felt this way the entire time i lost weight.
I will not even be hungry but i just eat because i can, because the food is there. Its compulsive.
Seems to be mostly at night. Tonight i ate a roast chicken for dinner, couple small potatos, carrot, onion, fist sized chunk of chicken. Great dinner, low fat etc.
Then i went and had a huge crust of bread, muesli bar, cheesy chicken sausage on top. WTF?!
I even sat there eating it and said 'i have no idea why im even eating this, im not hungry! i just feel i *have* to eat for some reason'.
So decided to go for a run to burn it off (this seems to be the way im dealing with it, burn the excess off by jogging or gym workouts).
So rang a friend and said i was comming over and could they give me a ride home.
I jogged for 40 minutes solid to get 7kms to their house. Im soo happy and impressed with myself that i managed to jog that long without stopping!
Everytime i thought about stopping i brought back the memory of the sausage and large crust id eaten and thought to myself "I havnt burnt those darned stupid choices off yet!".
Got there, had about 3-4 glasses of water over an hour or two then they gave me a ride home.
I still cant believe i didnt stop the entire way other than breifly to stretch for 1 min (about 5km in). Im totally stoked! Ive only been doing the running thing for a couple weeks, and so far mostly in the gym on treadmills.
Anyway im off to bed, im heading out away for the day tomorrow down to look at new houses in our future town. its a couple hours drive there and back. |

Rep Power: 79 | | haha i love your sig DQ
And after completing 7km run the other day ive decided once the kids are back at school ill be running or cycling to work every day. Currently i cant because i have to leave work early to pick them up from holiday program. Even if i do it only for a week or two it will be extremely good for me before the surgery getting that extra hour or two running in every day.
Eating is good today. sweet corn kernels for breakfast, salad with brie for lunch and a little mayo. and 1 trim mocha.
Dinner is spaghetti bolg, ill have that with out the pasta though probably or with extra veges. |

Rep Power: 79 | | ok i stuck with that eating plan fine, and had mega cravings/hunger after dinner as usual lately. Im beginning to think its something health related.
I went to the gym and did some weights, and cycling then it went away. I then ate a protien bar to up the calories and protien.
So now i know what stops the hunger pangs and cravings in the evening. it just means i need to do that every evening after eating. |

Rep Power: 79 | | | muh what a day, i got a salad takeaway from a cafe with a mocha today, whilst at the hospital getting checkup, and they failed to give me anything to eat it!
So i threw the container of oily dressing in the bin and had to use my fingers to pickup lettice tomatos and feta bits making a mess everywhere.
My sons pie looked way better!
Anyway on the food front ive been doing excellently for the last 2.5 days - since monday in fact!
No bad foods, just tons of veges, fruit, and meats.
Nothing processed (not even chicken sausages!), no breads, etc. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
