Rep Power: 26 | | 90 kilometres, incredible. I'm curious about your measurements or your pants size - you must be so buff. |

Rep Power: 79 | | | oh nah, blowed if i can find a measuring tape anyway to measure. but im not that buff.
I regained 15lb or so when we moved house and im working on removing that and geting fitter for a 160km (70-80mi?) race near the end of november.
Knackered today, my phone changed itself to daylight savings mode on the weekend without me noticing. I noticed at 4:30am when the alarm went off an hour early! Daylight savings started a week earlier than normal this year for some reason :/
So i did this mornings RPM class but cancelled the evenings one. Im booked for tomorrow morning anyway. |

A 160K is basically a "century" here, conversion factor works it out to about 100 miles (99.4 technically).
It's an amazing ride. I can't wait to say I've done one. |

Rep Power: 79 | | heh hopefully your 100 is less hilly that mine then
Mines made up of mosty really steep hills. There is about 40km of flats and thats about it . you can see the elevation profile here MapMyRide.com | View Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge in Taupo, New Zealand
Click on the right where it has 'Route Info' and click the 'elevation' box to view the elevation. Its nasty!
So i didnt go to RPM last night, or this morning. To many late nights and other things. its been pouring and i just couldnt be buggered to be fair.
Today is sunny, ill get out tonight. |

Rep Power: 53 | | | I'll have to check to see if the club that is sponsoring this ride has an elevation map for it. I'd like to see the stats (before I blow a lung out on the ride!). Looks like a challenge for sure.. I'm going to have to start doing some intervals here as a regular part of my workout in order to be able to handle this kind of stuff. |

Another website which is less cluttered and works nicely is bikely.com . i prefer bikely most of the time - however mapmyride has a couple of features like setting a goal pace before downloading a GPX to my Garmin GPS that i use
Still no weight change, still doing the gym and cycling thing as well as eating well.
Im not counting calories as such, but i have a fair idea what calories what things have in them and im sticking to pretty darned low calories.
I did notice however my floor is a little uneven so i wonder if that affects it, also my scales say i have same body fat % as i used to have (at a lower weight) and higher water retention. So its possible that some water involved in that.
Bit depressed that the scale isnt moving and my thigh and gut are still hanging out :/ |

Rep Power: 53 | | | Well, I was able to download a cue sheet from this year's century ride, so it should be fairly accurate. The max elevation change for the ride is 1850 feet (from the clubs website), the actual elevation profile may be another matter though. I'll have to try plugging it in somehow. |

Rep Power: 79 | | | nep i dont recall you,but thats probably because you only joined feb and have only done 3 posts!
Scales havnt said much diff, clothes seem to sit better though. Binged on KFC last night, and pancakes with bacon and banana for breakfast! grrr not good. Still, im back on the wagon so to speak. I did 40km of hils this morning, and thats going to be my routine for the next couple months every morning. It takes me 1:40min so if i get up at 6:30am ill be back about 8am ready to head out to work.
I need to start doing much longer workouts on the weekends - get those kms up and long rides up. Time to go cycling to visit people a few towns away i think and back. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
