Rep Power: 87 | | OMG LIZ!!! you had the surgery! Where've I been??? wow, sooo impressed! Your such a hero on so many levels, I hope you realize that. I wonder how many thousands of people have heard your story and were moved enough to make a difference in their own lives.
My hats off to ya Liz! I hope your recovery is a quick one and you get to feeling better soon! |

Rep Power: 79 | | | hmm so i got a call back "are you ok? are you having trouble breathing at all?" etc type thing.
I say "No i feel fine, why?". Apparently my tests came back with something slightly raised which means i had/may have a blood clot or something.
So pretty much i need to stay active and keep doing things as I am, stop eating the garbage foods (awww but i was enjoying it!). No smoking and more exercise (already been walking heaps!) |

Rep Power: 182 | | | Damn Liz, you do rock. I assume the docs aren't too worried about the potential clot? |

Rep Power: 79 | | well, I bit the bullet, went to the gym and got my membership re-enabled 4 weeks early. That 4-6 weeks recovery be damned, im feeling fine except for the pain under the left ribs.
The walking was getting tedius and i wanted to change things a bit. So i went to the gym tonight and spent 35mins on the cross trainer (low impact, easy level, HR at about 145avg), and then another 25 mins on the recumbant exercycle with a avg HR of 125.
So Happy with an hour of decent exercise, low/no impact, and good HR, And the best part is that the sore part under my left ribs is much better! woot! |

Rep Power: 79 | | Okay after a slew of blood tests and visits to Dr and finally the hospital today, no i dont have a blood clot (no shit!).
Better safe than sorry. Heading back up to Auckland to visit my brother this weekend coming up, hes doing well also.
Im itching to do cycling or running, ive been eating lots of food, but in small portions lots of times a day. Lots of crap food too i admit (cake and cookies! Arg!). Drinking my 2.5ltrs of water a day, in fact the kids and I have made it into a game now and everyone checks to see whos drunk the most water in the day and if they have drunk it.
We all go around with bottles of water.
Interestingly we were comparing the changes that we had. Oldest is no longer constipated, and finds she sleeps better at night. Shes also less hungry (usually eats like a horse and we're struggling to teach her good habits so this is a good thing). The others just started today trying to jump into our competition.
Speaking of Competitions! I got entered into one for some HDTV gadget thing, and im one of 3 finalists.
[link removed now - competitions over! i win!)
I think im going to start hitting the gym in the mornings, bike there, gym, then bike to work. Have to be sure i can bike though (havnt tried yet!)
Anyway thats my update for now
