I have to admit- if you have to bake a cake for somebody else .. this is the one.
The ingrediants look and seem disgusting before its cooked and iced. There is NO way i would want to be dipping my finger into the batter and licking the spoon!
Just a few listed here for sickness sake.
1/2 cup of oil
3 cups of carrot
3/4 cup of crushed pineapple
1/2 cup walnuts
grated orange peel & lemon peel
etc etc
I wonder if there is a healthier way to make it that still tastes good. That half cup of oil just made me wanna puke. It tasted great when cooked though | Replace the 1/2 cup oil with 1/4 cup applesauce & 1/4 cup fat free sour cream then add just enough water to get the right consistency for the batter. You won't be able to taste the applesauce in the cake but it gives it a grainer texture, the sour cream will give it more moistness that you'll have taken out from the oil and the water is to make the batter less thick as applesauce and sour cream is obviously thicker than oil. If that doesn't work, PM me and I'll give you a couple more ideas. |

All week I hadnt lost ANY weight, as in 0. Not even a .1kg. Now i knew that this was because of my period, but i havnt hit a plataeu yet and in fact i havnt had a week where i lost nothing at all. I was really hopeing this wasnt it (I live in fear lol).
So it felt like i peed all day yesterday so i thought 'perhaps i lost the "period" water retention already' and today im down 1.2kg! woo! thats like 3lb overnight!
Im just so stoked! im on track for the 2lb a week club and the 10lb for the month one |

Congrats on shedding that water retention!!
Also, never lose site of the fact that if you are eating right, working out, and not losing, you very well could be converting fat poundage for muscle mass. |

One of my eating triggers is tiredness - if im tired i eat
| From a couple days back.....I am the same way. I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one. It's like your body needs rest but somehow it gives your brain a signal that it needs food. I've been really trying to pay attention to that since I discovered it was so.
And you know what you called a little splurge with lamb chops (although honey, I don't think that was a splurge at all)....you listened to your body and gave it what it needed. And in this case the signal was right. Most of the time if we listen to our bodies and become familiar with it's signs it will tell us exactly what it needs. And you needed iron....and it craved lamb chops...and it got what it needed. Good for you.
And yay for the water weight loss.....three pounds is awesome! |

Rep Power: 79 | | haha yeah the lamb chops were worth it ~~~ the guilt i had wasnt.
Funnily enough ive noticed my daughter whos had depression for the last year and half - ive given her some of my iron tablets and shes all of a sudden all perky and happy and not depressed anymore!
Ive forgotton my lunch for work for the last couple days - the first time i had soupo which i keep on my desk at work (along with weetbix etc) and the second time i went down the road and bought a loaf of whole grain bread
Yesterday i found i was only on 740 calories for the day which was a bit eek.
I wasnt at all hungry at all - in fact i was pretty full. So i picked up a chocolate bar on the way to my friends in the evening though that was only another 200 cal - it was a nice treat.
I just had to admit defeat i guess |

Rep Power: 51 | | I let myself have a treat once in a while...in fact had dessert yesterday (slice of ice cream cake!), and was still down a pound. If I hadn't, I definitely would have given into my cravings last night and binged, but I didn't
I guess I don't consider that defeat |

you are doing well. I think that it's great you are starting cycling. I'm not ready for that yet, but it's on one of my goal lists for my triathlons. I just don't like having a sore butt LOL.
You keep going and you'll be at your goal soon! |
