Post Bee's diary

How much weight do you want to lose?
10kg

What is the timeframe for reaching your target weight?
3 - 4 months
How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?
The Low GI Diet and Excercise
Low GI diet for my current weight works out to:
Carbs: 4 Serves
Protien: 4 Serves
Fat: 2 Serves
Fruit: 2 Serves
Veg: 5 Serves

Who or what can support you in reaching your goal?
Book - The Low GI Diet by Jennie Brand-Miller
Mr. Apple (aka My boyfriend Craig) Who has offered the following reward scheme...
5kg = new dress
10kg = Mystery prize!!
People in here i hope!!

How realistic is your goal?
Reasonably realistic, I was 63kg before i can get there again!! Time scale possibly not so realistic, depends on how i go.
When will you start?
Started last week. over a kg already!! Hurrah!

Weight now 72.1kg.

Will start posting online food+mood diary tomorrow!!

Mr. Apple is very supportive, I am very lucky!! he's even doing the diet with me, he does get twice as much carbs and protien though!

Ok so today went like this.

Breakfast:
Cranberry Juice (1 fruit)
Low fat Yogurt ( 1 Protien)
Cup of Tea.

Lunch
1 Veg. Sushi hand roll + 1 Chick Sushi hand roll (2 Carb, 1 Protien, 1 veg)
2 Cups of Tea

Dinner
Red Pesto Chicken and Brown Pasta (2 protien, 1/2 Carb, 1 Fat)

Snack
Nuttella on 1 slice soylin bread (1/2 carb, 1 Fat)
Cup of Tea

Doing ok, but i need to get my veggie intake up!! No idea how i'll manage to eat 5 whole portions!!

Started new job today... walked from train station 20min

Difficult to remember to post over the weekend!! Ahh well. Not too bad a weekend, well apart from the Nando's chicken burger and 1/2 an icecream i had at the tennis on Saturday!!

A bit disheatened by the fact that i didn't loose any weight this week . I suppose it staying the same is ok, in fact before christmas i'd deffinitly have settled for that!!

Think it might be to do with my new job. I'm on reception so basicly i sit down at 1pm and don't really move till 6pm Going to try walking to the office from the train station this week (25min). Managed it today, might wimp out if the hot weather kicks in again later in the week. Also going to drop my portions down a little, i'm just on the edge of the weightband so i'd have to do it soon anyway. So now i get:

Veg: 5 Servings
Fruit: 2 Servings
Protien: 3 Servings
Carbs: 3 Servings
Fat: 2 Servings

Food for Tue:
breakfast:
1/2 Cup low GI cereal and yogurt (1/2 carb, 1 protien)

Snack:
Apple Juice (2 fruit)

lunch:
Pestrami sandwhich (1 Carb, 1 protien)

Snack:
1 slice toast with hazelnut spead (1/2 carb, 1 fat)

Dinner:
ham and veg frettata with salad and bread (1 carb, 1 protien, 2 veg)

Bit of a breadtastic day! we need to go shopping so we didn't have much else in. The lower carb intake makes it much harder to stick to!!

It was 31c outside today so i wimped out of walking to the office. Didn't want to arrive a sweaty pink blob. The weather is supposed to break this evening so i'll try to go for a walk then... still got that shopping to do!!

Food for Wed:

Breakfast:
1/2 cup low-gi cereal and yogurt (1/2 carb, 1 protien)

Snack:
1 handful mixed berries (1 fruit)

Lunch:
leftover frettata (1/2 carb, 1 protien, 1 veg)

Snack:
3 crackers..oops. (1/2 carb?)

Dinner:
Pasta with peppers and pesto chicken (1 Carb, 1 Protien, 1 Veg)

Hmm not too bad... think i should probably start taking two snacks to work... to avoid the cracker munching in the afternoons!!

I was ok on the 4 carbs but I have been a little bit on the hungry side since i dropped down to the 3 carbs a day... i suppose the idea is to fill up on the veggies, which i'm not very good at!! I'm working on it though, brought fruit and some nuts with me to work today!!

Having a complete nightmare of a day. I couldn't sleep last night cause it was too hot, and the trams...the evil trams!! Anyway i kept waking up, needing a drink, then waking up again to go to the toilet
Then i woke up at 7am then 7.30am with Mr Apples alarm and felt like total crap, so i had breakfast and went for a nap.... bad idea totall slept through my 9am alarm and missed my dr's appointment... didn't wake up till 11.15.
So by the time i was ready i'd missed the early train to work and i had to get one of the evil trams instead of walking to the office from the train station. AHHHHHHHH! Anyway i'm here now I at least remebered to bring my lunch and snacks which is a start.

Food for Wed

Breakfast:
1/2 cup low gi cereal and 200g yogurt (1/2 carb, 1 Protien)
Tea
Apple Juice (1 Fruit)

snack:
Handful mixed berries (1 Fruit)
Berries are really expensive here, so i buy the frozen ones, and put a hanful in a box and by the time i get to work they're defrosted.

Lunch:
Yep more of that leftover frettata (1/2 Carb, 1 protien, 1 veg)

Snack:
Handful of wallnuts (1 fat)

Dinner:
Salad (2 Veg)
Salmon Pattie (1 carb, 1 Protien)

Snack (pudding!)
1 slice soy bread with nuttella ( 1/2 Carb, 1 Fat)
