Thank you for all the visits so far, people.

Rep Power: 0 | | Guys, I'm sorry. I know I should have updated this journal every day, but I've been so busy these past few weeks that it was all I could do keep exercising! (I kept having to reschedule things.) So I've been kinda working nonstop lately. ("Working" as in school )
So, as a quick update, I'm now at 148.6 pounds, which means I lost 1.6 pounds since the last time, and I've caught up to my ticker.
Today's been going crappily so far, I was supposed to go shopping for contact lenses but I woke up too late. To console myself I went on the computer, started chatting, and before I knew it, it was almost 2:30 pm and I hadn't eaten or exercised or anything. Half of my day gone.
It's my time of the month so this made me cry
Now it's 3:30, I went on the treadmill and had lunch. I have a lot of homework so I don't think I'll be able to do the rest of my daily exercise (This is making me cry too. I know, it's ridiculous, hehe) |

Aaanyway.
I did end up having time for some weight lifting. So that's good.
I gots a question though. Is it true that when having eggs we should only eat the whites and not the yolk? (For weight loss, I mean.) I heard that, and I'm not sure what to do about it

Rep Power: 0 | | Just want to start off by saying Hi and congrats on your new diary!! I hope it does you well.
Okay I'm the slow kid in the class but what do you eat to stay under 1200 calories a day?? I mean that seems like almost nothing. Is there variety or do you eat the same thing for the most part?
I guess I just wonder because I am frusterated with my own eating and my hubby said to eat less calories but my goodness counting calories is so frusterating! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Took me a while to get used to it.
But now I'm able to have three meals a day with snacks in between, and sometimes it doesn't even add up to 1200.
I'll say what I had yesterday, for example.
Breakfast:
- peanut butter and jelly sandwich with whole wheat bread
- milk
Lunch:
- ...some other kind of sandwich
- yogourt
- apple
After-school Snack:
- grapes
- (later) chocolate chip rice cakes
Dinner:
- chicken
- salad
- mashed potatoes
Bedtime snack:
- ice cream cone without the ice cream
More or less 1200. It's different every day. (I should do that more often...it is my journal ) |

Rep Power: 0 | | You know that seems like more cals but I don't have a good perception of calorie intake.
I think if I could find something simple I could stick with eating less calories per day. I need to eat about 1500 to loose weight and still be able to function properly. I decided to do the lc thing cause I want (need!!) to cut out the sugar intake. It seems when I give myself and inch I take a mile!! |

Rep Power: 0 | | I was the same...way too much sugar every day...but now I barely have to watch what I'm eating anymore, I instinctively go for the healthier food. (There is, however, a ridiculous amount of junk food in my kitchen, so it was VERY hard at first)
I changed my ticker. I've decided to divide my long-term goal into three small ones - 140, 130, 120. My Christmas goal seems really small compared to other people's. But I seem to lose weight more slowly than everyone else here hehe...

Today I missed school 'cause I had to go to the hospital. (I have juvenile arthritis in my leg and it has to be checked every few months)
Well, they measured my legs as usual and not only is there more muscle tone than two months ago, but I went down 1.5 centimeters in each leg
And yesterday my friend said something like "You look like you lost a whole bunch of weight since last year. Lucky."
^ First compliment about my weight...ever. (I weighed more than my SW last year.)
I hadn't exercised for two days( ) but these things motivated me to get back on track.
Also, my arthritis is almost gone and soon I can stop taking the pills. Good news all over the place.

Congrats! |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Chocolate is my frenemy Junk Food: it's the ultimate frenemy.
Especially chocolate. Nobody can trust chocolate anymore. Chocolate is the leader in the gang of backstabbing junk food. It consoles us, it makes us happy to the point where we get addicted, and at the same time it's creeping up behind you, preparing to launch an attack.
Before that happens, you should turn to Healthy Food. Healthy Food is the old friend that you lose touch with when you start to hang out with the cool kids (junk food), but that never completely loses faith in you. It patiently waits for you to realise the truth and come back.
Unfortunately, I didn't realise until it was too late. I'm now in the process of making amends with Healthy Food. It accepted me back right away. What a great friend. We like to reminisce about the old times, before I became corrupted by the bad kids.
Healthy Food will help you get rid of the bad habits you learnt with them, and return to your former self.
Meanwhile, chocolate will get increasingly frustrated by not being able to grab your attention. It will hide in the pantry, ordering its junk food minions to camp out in the fridge, and when you find them there, they call to you. Sometimes it's hard not to listen.
But when in doubt...just call Health Food to the rescue. As always, the hero will beat the crap outta the bad guys.
But the bad guys always come back in the next episode.
So the next time you sense chocolate creeping up on you, or its ugly minions for that matter, don't be scared to fight back. Refuse it to its face. Yell at it, cuss it out.
Punch it, if it comes to that. You can always argue for self-defense.
Just do something! Make sure chocolate doesn't get the best of you. Fight back. Make a scene. Just don't let junk food prevail. Junk food will not prevail. Not if we can help it.
I know I'm crazy.
But that's really how I feel.
