Starting today October 26, 2006, I am going to lose 40 lbs by December 25, 2006 making me an even 100lbs for my petite 5 foot frame. Wish me luck. Going for my first work out in my basement.

Hi Amanda,
Welcome to your diary and good for you for taking the steps towards reaching your goals.

One of the most helpful things I've read here on the WLF was from Maleficent, who spoke about defining your goals. Really pin pointing exactly what they are and how you want to go about achieving them.

I've really taken that advice to heart and believe strongly in setting realistic goals and outlining how I need to go about reaching them.

Setting a Christmas goal sounds like a great plan, but 40 pounds in 2 months does not seem like a healthy, reasonable approach. Twenty pounds a month is a lot to ask of your body and could hurt your motivation if you don't see those results.

I'm glad you've started a diary and I look forward to getting to know you
