Hey Mia,
OK a Three Muskateer bar might up your calories, but there are better, more nutritious food choices as well

Make sure you take those multivitamins!!

Great job on the stair climbing!

Ugh... I ate a mini toblerone, adding 180 calories to my daily total. That brings it into the 1000s >.<

I'm worried that, even if my calories are low, my candy consumption will ruin my diet

Ate some breakfast today, at least, even though it wasn't a lot... Taking small steps towards healthy eating, I suppose. I'll try not to eat any candy today to make up for yesterday, I really hope that it didn't ruin all the work that I put in so far

On another note, signing up for classes in an 1 hour, 11 minutes and 30 seconds =D

Good Morning Mia

I doubt a bit of candy will 'ruin' the results you've gotten so far, but 1000 calories is low, and if 20% of those calories are from sweets, your nutrition is lacking! Good thing you took your vitamins

I know you're not crazy about vegies or salads, but you would be surprised at how much you can eat for half the calories of a candy bar - a huge plate/bowl of filling, nutritious, fiber filled food instead of one little bar that's going to leave you hungry in 20 minutes. Makes those calories count

Hope you have a good day!

Hmmm.... Maybe I'll try to have some veggies instead of a latte today ^_^ But then I'll lack protein. Nutrition is so hard! lol.

Nutrition is a hard balancing act!

Have you checked out Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople or FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal ? Both are great sites for tracking calories, nutrition and fitness.

It's amazing how much it's helped me!

Yeah, I can't be bothered to enter totals in sparkpeople every day XD I know I should, but it would just yell at my for going under my daily calorie limit >.>

Bad news... My room mate made allegations that I've been abusing her physically >< I really have no idea where that came from, I didn't think that she hated me that much... But I have to attend a hearing on monday to see if I'll be suspended from the school.

*sigh* I'm going to be under calories again today... I just don't feel like eating. College has been the biggest disappointment of my life, and I don't know if I'm going to go back next semester if the people in it are that cruel :\

I decided to bump my calorie intake up to 1300-1400 today, even if I didn't feel like it... And I do feel a bit better now, actually. I'll just tell the truth at the hearing tomorrow and they'll probably believe me... If not, that's okay, because I was going to transfer anyway. I don't care if she 'wins' or not, I've decided to take the high road and not let it bother me so much.

Get to visit home and my friends tomorrow, too =D I really need that right now, more so than any diet. Doesn't mean that I won't stick to it though! I haven't binged in five days and I plan to keep that up for a good long time.

So here are my totals:

Nature Valley Bars: 180
Sugarless Gum: 75
Reeses Peanut Butter Cups: 340
Large Chai: 300
Bagel: 400

Total:

1300 I had a handful of dry cereal so I figure I bumped it up to that number.

Oh yeah, and my exercise totals for today:

1 hour - Elliptical - 540 calories

I did it even if I was bummed and practically crying on the machine. Yay! =D

Mia,
You're going to have to do what you need to do - but I think it would be important to really define your goals and the plan to reach them.

Do you just want to lose weight to be thinner? Do you want to lose weight and be healthier in the long run? Binging on candy aside, you are upping your calories to include junk - which is different then upping your calories to include nutrition.

I really think if you were able to eat some higher quality food, you would be less inclined to binge and wouldn't be wasting calories on non nutritional foods.
