Also, I think 3 oz of meat is about the size of a deck of cards, thickness and length wise. I also hear the size of your palm. You can always measure it too in a measuring cup.

This is really worrying me hun. I think you should talk to your parents about this depression you're having. I'm glad that your friend talked you out of it. But you should probably talk to a counselor or an adult that can help you. Even thinking about it is very very serious.

We're all here for you, we all want the best, and we care.

I think metabolism is the last thing you should be thinking about right now. Seriously, I know what its like to be depressed, I've struggled with it on and off my entire life, I see what you're going through. Please talk to someone about it, get your mental health under control, and then focus on the physical.
