I love the way you write! Very descriptive...Makes me want to go to the beach! indeed your daughter sounds sweet! I hope you had a wonderfull weekend! Congrats on all the stair climbing...sounds like a real workout
Thank you. I have been having a good time. I am enjoying my time with both my children right now too. I am aware of being much more relaxed and easier to get on with, now that I am taking more time for myself and feeling healthier.

I agree with you about the people skills and I'm hopeful the sweet aspect will dominate.

The stairs were fun. My legs don't scream as much the next day as they did the first time! I love it when they just feel tighter.
I only give well deserved rep.

Thanks, Cerella. I do have more energy than I did and the good people at this forum have a lot to do with that. I'm feeling very conscious of being at a lucky time in my life!

Ooo. Finally some progress with the weet-bix! Vegemite next?
Vegemite scares meAttachment 3149 but I would like to go down under just to flush a toilet and watch the water spin opposite of ours.
I suppose that's something that really happens... When I was younger a very naughty friend of mine rang someone random in America to check up on that... but the person who answered was rather bemused and we were never really sure.
Breakfast 9:30 2 weetbix,. 1C lowfat soy milk. 1/3 C tinned peaches. 1 slice wholemeal toast with minimal margarine and marmalade. Boiled egg. ½ glass tomato juice.1 C coffee with 40 ml Hilo.
10:30 20 minutes low impact aerobics with weights. (I don’t know how heavy these ones are, about 1 kg I think. This workout feels right with them anyway.)
100 skips. Mixed in every step I could think of because constantly changing made it made it more bearable. I really really wanted to stop after 7 skips and 2 lots of treading on the rope. So now I know how much harder that is to do than it sounds. It seems like it would be very valuable to be able to really use it so I guess I will persist.
Oh my GAWD, Felici, skipping is SO hard!! I tried it once and wanted to stop after 7 times too. Good on you for 100...! That is the height of exercise far as I'm concerned. There's a reason boxers use the rope too...it's a killer. Something I aspire to.

I made some progress with the rope tonight. I don't know if I just started to remember how, or if it's because I slowed it down a bit. Maybe the two are the same thing for me right now. Thanks for the encouragement.
On the other hand I don't consider Randy needs any encouragement with his teasing!! I realize the forum already has a princess but I think perhaps "Weet-bix Countess" or "Lady of the Weet-bix" would better fit the decorum due my years!

I think it must have been at the bottom of the pile today. Nice to see you as ever. Time to say "Good day to you, and enjoy your lunch," by now I suppose.

Brava on 100!
I don't know why I should find that encouraging, but I did!! Thank you.
The second go was definitely easier.

Hmmm. I suppose using an alternative material might make a difference...
Breakfast 9:30 2 weetbix,. 1C lowfat soy milk. 1/3 C tinned peaches. 1 slice wholemeal toast with minimal margarine and marmalade. Boiled egg. ½ glass tomato juice.1 C coffee with 40 ml Hilo.
Lunch: 12:30 1 wholemeal bread roll. 100 gm low fat cottage cheese.
In a rush again and forgot veges again. I can't remember if I made a point of noting this last time, but seeing as it's happened again I will highlight it. I would prefer to remember to grab a vege juice if I'm short of time.
Snack : 3:30 1" sausage roll. 2 C coffee with milk. (Visiting Mum's). I would have preferred to eat some nuts too.
Dinner: 8:00 Pasta. 3/4 C spaghetti. Sauce made with 130 gm tinned red salmon, tomato, stuffed green olives, fresh basil and chives, lemon juice.
Handful of snow peas, capsicum.
Exercise
1:00 DNA Tower. 800 steps. This was the girl's idea and she had the time worked out too, so that was all I could fit in. I went from one set to the next with little delay because I knew my time was short. The first set was a killer. I went up faster than before (56 secs). I think that was partly because I used the other spiral and my sense of how far I had to go suffered - consequently I didn't pace myself. When I got up there I thought all my leg muscles had fused and I might not be able to walk down again!! I did a couple of stretches at the bottom though and it was ok again after about the third set.
5:30 Local walk 3.5 km (2.1 miles)
10:00 (?) Rope. 100 jumps, 100 gallops R foot forward, 100 L foot forward, 100 alternating skips.
I think probably it was easier because I was going more slowly and because I didn't have to keep stopping as often as before. Restarting over and over is hard. I still had patches of that but I got in 40 jumps at the beginning and that gave me more confidence. I'm thinking it will be worth it for me to do this just to build up my skill for now.
OK everyones jumping rope! I guess I am just gonna have to get my lazy butt skipping or I will feel left out somehow Thats my motivation for the week...thank ya!
