Felici~Thank You...however I dont know what to do with the five easter baskets full of candy my four year old received I just cant see letting a four year old eat all that, is it wrong to get rid of some of it?
T2~Kiddo? hey I needed that compliment today! Things are going great, I hope it is the same for you
Cinderelly~I get up at 5am....that helps! Plus the overindulgence in coffee!
OK, I ate fastfood yesterday! I thought I was over it....guess not. **brushes self off*starts over again** To top that monumental acheivment off I didnt get a chance to do any exercises But I had a very interesting day, a guy came over first thing and wanted to buy my hot rod s10 blazer(a project I did years ago v8 swap headers ect)I was so ready to be rid of it I made a trade I got a small motercycle (and some aluminum rims for my 54 pontiac)why I dunno....but I had alot of fun riding on the abandoned golf course across the street late last night, that is until I crashed I dont think Ill get my exercises done today either. It was around 35 degrees outside and I was in shorts and sandals so I got a little banged up, I woke up with a seriouse sore throat and cold symptoms! I havent had a cold in a long time!
Sheesh I feel old now I have to fix the damn thing!
Cinderelly~I get up at 5am....that helps! Plus the overindulgence in coffee!
Well I get up early as 530 but I do that so I can come here for my 1 - 1.5 and get this time in it is the only gauranteed time I get...anyway irrelevant - good job on all the exercisse...
Thanx cinderelly, but my sleeping habbits are nothing to be proud of I just never sleep, I though all the exercise would help wear me out, I just cant sleep and I dont wanna use meds on account of my small daughter....
I hope you are over your crash and your cold soon.
Four easter baskets!! It's hard to have all that stuff around. As long as you remember it's hers, I'm sure you'll figure out for yourself how to deal with it in a way that suits you all.
Good job on the dust off by the way. That's the way to do it.
Thanx Felici...I needed that! I actually dont feel too bad considering, but I have a high fever now, This just isnt gonna be my week apparently Ahhh well, I will get over it...I'm mostly bummed that the bike is mucked up! As far as the four baskets I just dont know how much sugar I should let her eat! I know she is young but I try really hard to make sure she eats healthy foods! I dont want her to be a chubby kid like I was My hubby and I gave her a big basket of toys, water guns ect and some fruit snacks. But the grandmas and aunts sent sooooooo much candy!
If the choccies are out of sight it will help, and then you can limit the rate they move back to her I imagine. If she is not chubby at the moment, Easter won't make her so all by itself.
It's amazing how much difference a firm healthy attitude to our own food can flow on to our children without much angst. When you fully believe in the rightness of your approach enough to follow it yourself it becomes so much easier to help children follow too.
My girl is older but got soooo many eggs! Now she keeps setting up egg hunts for all her friends as they come over. I was hoping that might mean that she kept dividing them in half till they were a better number but it seems the supply is still being added to!
I have been surprised at how much difference it makes to just have that stuff out of my sight though.
cinderelly--I dont drink any after lunch usually...but when I cant sleep I do occasionally give in and drink it in the night, this is usually when I get alot done. But only when I am completely unable to get back to sleep
Cannon--Thank You
Felici--My little girl is not chubby, but she does focus alot on food! I know that she is very young, but if I gave in to half of her requests she would be chubby indeed...I think this has alot to do with the entire extended family being LARGE, whenever she sees a relative there is alot of junk food involved all of the grandmothers and aunts bake and have tons of junqe food on hand and we just never keep that stuff around, so she asks for it alot...
Another thing is here in the US we are having alot of kids with diabetes ect. I hear all these facts and statistics and they scare the hell outta me! So I try to approach every day with caution...of course she doesnt know any of it. I dont try to explain really I just quetly monitor and keep lots of fruits and veggies she likes on hand...as for the baskets your right easter isnt gonna do her in...I may need to lighten up...
This is day 23 on track...I am feeling pretty happy with myself. I am not gonna lose track this time! I am actually beleiving that I can do this... But yesterday I was in pain and feeling sick and today it looks like I am headed back to my chiropractor...I injured my hip in karate a few monthes back and my hip was 2.5 inches out of allignment and apparently crashing the bike has reinjured it...But I am feeling ok overall...just having some hip pain and some penched nerves, but I have had alot of injuries like this and I know its not that big of a deal, other than having to go get more x-rays ect of the hip wich gets pretty costly.I guess I was doing so well I should have expected this! Overall the worst part will be explaining to Dr. Rae another rediculouse injury, Im pretty sure he thinks I am NUTS...But hey I must be one of his better customers so o well
Obesity and junk eating in childhood is also a problem here and in other places too. You are totally right about this being an area which needs care and making sure you have lots of fruit and vege there for her.
Having something worth eating instead of junk is most of the battle for us - why shouldn't it work for kids too!
If your touch was real heavy those baskets wouldn't be at your house in the first place. It sounds to me like you are doing a great careful job with your little one. I love four year olds. I often teach them. I bet she loves having a menagerie at your place.
