Congrats on hitting the 100lbs down mark! That is such a huge accomplishment - it's takes a degree of determination and perserverance to lose that much weight and keep plugging along. For most of us even losing 25lbs is like some epic struggle...heck when I lost 50lbs I felt emotionally like I'd just climbed Mt Everest or something and was so sick and tired of the whole weight loss process thing I was double checking my bank balance to see if I could afford lipo for the rest (seriously)....100 lbs...wow...you rock!

Hi! It's good to see you post and know that all is well with you.

It is great that you are seeing your opportunities open up as you lose weight and gain confidence.

Though you are going over old lost pounds I know you are doing it in a new way and that is what will make all the difference for you in the long term. You have achieved heaps lately and I am really pleased for you.

Thanx Felici It is becoming more routine now,and that helps!

So today I have been working on my husbands grandmothers roof all day! I am pretty tired and VERY HOT! But she needed shingles and a new porch so I am releived that its getting done.I guess this will be a long weekend but I should burn plenty O calories up there! I used to do roofing sometimes with my hubby, maybe thats how I lost so much weight It sure beats the cycle as far as WEAR YOU OUT goes!

Oh build those back muscles. I haven't been here in a bit so I read back. I think getting in a bad is awesome. My goal this summer is to begin learning how to play guitar. I don't know why I didn't try to do this 25 years ago.

Well guys my back is ok but my claves are burning!! Its not a very steep roof but its killing me! I used to do roofing alot and I thought I was still up for it but I gotta tell it straight I am feeling it BIG TIME! And its really coming along alot slower than anticipated, there were two layers of old shingles that have been there since the 60's so thats a BUMMER! There comming off in tiny little peices I must have lost 5 pounds yesterday! Were making the porch twice as large as it was so really the little house looks like a new house now, weve put a hip style roof on it and its amazing how much it did for the looks of it! Grandma is VERY pleased. And she deserves it...very hard working little lady, shes 82 and is really a spark plug.she still cooks school lunch for the kids and shes really active and helpfull in the comunity...I wish we could have done this for her a long time ago...

Felici~there have been many long reaxing bathes this weekend!!!

Cannon~Guitar is so fun! Who cares about 25 years ago!!! I never had the discipline before but now I am inthralled, check out some of the instructional videos on youtube! There are alot of free tutorials online, they had me playing folsom prison blues, smoke on the water and a few more on just the first day!!!

T2~recommendations? have I missed something?Somethings always going over my head

Im feeling very releived we finished the roof yesterday...yipee
Now its back to work on the music room! But there is some bad news...for me anyway someone bought the lot next door wich is only 1/2 acre(wich we were wanting to buy) and they are going to put 6 houses on it! SIX on a half acre thats just crazy for this neighborhood...And not only that but the golf course across the street that just closed down will now become a gated community with a multi million dollar golf course included! Now you have to understand that grandma and all the neighbors have been here since the 40's and they dont exactly have upscale housing (a very middle class community) and just a block down there are elderly people in trailors I have no idea what this will mean for the neighbors but I know it means I dont wanna live in a crouded neighborhood of newbies! I can just see them now telling me my dogs are too loud and I cant have a swingset in my yard...
The guy that bought the lot next door says the cemetery has buried ppl on his land and he wants to dig them up! And behing the cemetery there is a guy who is not exactly all there who has a trailor hes lived in for over 20 years they say is also on his lot...this guy lost his wife and daughter years ago and rides a bike to work for the night shifts at a grocerey store...now I understand the guy bought the lot but the whole thing is turning into a huge debate and problem... Ohhh boy...I guess I will be moving, I really dont know what to think at this point progress is good but i sure like my privecy thats why I live where I do and the same goes for my neighbors!I just feel lost right now...and the construction crew is starting right outside my kitchen window...chopping down trees

That kind of activity would impact me the same way it has you. I'm sorry to hear about it. It does sounds like a big deal.

Well done on all that roofing. I bet you used a bunch of muscles that you don't normally and I hear that's especially helpful.

I am trying hard not to freak out about the whole thing...So I am looking at real estate and praying that the whole thing will just fall through...
Of all the muscles that should be burning I feel like the arches of my feet hurt the most! I guess its from the slant I dunno...

I have re-started my plan of becoming vegan, I am on day three and I feel like I have lost weight already.I guess I have alot of reasons to do it...so I am going for it even though everyone I know thinks I am crazy! I guess my number one reason is animal cruelty, I dont so much think its wrong to eat meat as I just cant stand what happens in meat prossessing, I dont see why animals have to be tortured before they eaten!!! Secondly the result of the poor managment is meat complete with tumores ect...I mean if you inject a cow and he gets cancer what will happen to me if I eat him?!? And after that I have read that vegitarians are more healthy and on average 20 pounds lighter...they have healthier hearts and have less risk of sroke and some forms of cancer...So why not give it a try...
I am not the kinda of person trying to talk everyone else into doing it so dont get me wrong or take me for a fanatick.I just want to educate myself and see what I think! I have been eating less and less meat for over a month now and its increased my appetite for fruits and veggies so that has to be good...I have been eating shrimp and crab mostly but I quit all of it 3 days ago so wish me luck...I have been raised on the coast and I do love my seafood!

Woh! Good luck with that! Another challenge!! I'm starting to think you are rather keen on them.

I know Britta Bear has just recently stopped eating meat too. Maybe you guys can gain something from each other's thoughts.

Thanks T2 Im feeling less carnivorouse already!

Thanks for the tip felici...I will check into her diary!

Ok so the vegan thing is going swimmingly...except all of my family thinking Ive gone nutso or joined some sort of cult. Its even been brought to my attention that vegan and pegan are very similer words! LOL I dont see what the big deal is Im not pickiting or calling them all murderers! It doesnt bother me Its been pretty funny so far hearing all the excuses as to why I must have MEAT! I remember telling my mom when I was a very small child I wanted to be a vegitarian and her telling me that was for wakos and I would get heart disease...so its been fun explaining to her some statictics on the matter.
Anyway as far as the food goes WOW Im doing well and I have lost weight and Im eating ALOT! I like artificial cheeses and meats but Ive mostly discovered snack type foods that are fruit based that I love and there organic. Like smooshed fruit its near the fruit snacks and granola bars in the grocery store they are 100% organic and they have no added suger yet they are much sweeter than fresh fruit or dried fruit...for instance I dont like fresh grapes or strawberrys much but the smooshed ones are heavenly!
ALso the soy milks are very convincing especially in cereal and coffee. The chocolate one is great too! Anyway I am feeling really great but I havent had much time for working out I hope to really get back into that next week BIG TIME!
I really appreciate you guys stopping by my diary...I dont have alot of time on here but you guys help keep me going.I do read your diarys but I really never know what to say...I dont wanna be a run by poster but Im not that creative in my writing...
