It takes a lot of persistence to do this but how worthwhile to do it now. I am trying not to dwell on that "how much I have missed thing" myself, but I've missed plenty... We can't change that now - but we can change now and change the future. Quote:

Coffee. I think my coffee has about 40 calories in it, from the low fat milk. Is your coffee issue to do with the way you make it or the number of cups you drink? I see other people on here also worried about coffee in relation to weight loss and I was thinking it must be the way they make it, but I don't really know.
Have another great day/week... |

Rep Power: 13 | | Hey cinderelly thats great that you quit the caffein! I must confess I drink it all day and on occasion thru the night(coffee that is)...water and coffee are all I have been drinking.I dont put cream in it anymore and I bearly use enough sugar to taste. But I know I need to replace it with healthier calories! and I could really use some sleep...
In fact I stayed up all night, but I did more exercise! I came across some cool dance aerobic videos on you tube and did a total of one hour. Then as soon as the news came on I got on the cycle and did 30 min. on there. I am officially tired! |

Have another great day/week... | My coffee issue is really that I became addicted to caffein pills, when I stopped I got VERY ill. In fact the doctors told me I had multiple sclarosis.
But I was having dt's like a heroin addict! It took 5 months to determine what was going on, I didnt even know caffein could do that to you and I didnt realize just what was happening. So after hospital stays and 30 or more prescription that caused weight gain(including steroids pain killers and blood pressure meds)One day had a really nice seizure and a new doctor figured it out...But I had lost my vision my hearing my ability to walk normally and my speech had become very slurred...I put my family through alot and I realize that this doesnt happen to everyone, but I would like to soon be free of any caffein addiction! I was abusing these pills, mostly because I had taken them for 4 years. I dont suppose coffee is dangerouse, I know not to quit cold turkey! But I just want to be addiction free |

Rep Power: 43 | | The results from those caffeine pills was really nasty. I had no idea things could get that bad either.
You sure have some great goals.
I just noticed your BMI is very close to mine. (Mine is 36). I don't do challenges or contests but I always like noticing the things I have in common with other people here. It would be really great for us to both get to a healthy number! |

Rep Power: 13 | | Hey felici...I dont know if everyone goes into spaz mode on caffein like me, but it really pisses me off how they market the pills to women like us...I am firm beleiver that 90% of people can reach their goals through exersize and healthy eating...I literally almost died and now I have 20,000 dollars in medical bills! Not to mention the severe weight gain and weakness after the fact...
As far as our goals are concerned WE CAN DO IT! we have both come a long way already...and we will get there |

Rep Power: 13 | | I dug out my elliptical...drug it from the shed to the house...Now I am ready to mix things up. However my house looks like a gym only without the sexy fit people! oh well...
Anyhow I have talked my sister in law into coming over in the afternoons to workout, taking turns from cycle to elliptical. I am so happy she wants to come this will do us both so much good None of my friends are intrestsd in working out...other than they want me to go back to karate. But I will NOT go back until I have made ammends with the mirrors That will take a little time...
I am becomming addicted to the forum...I guess this is a good thing judging by all of the success I am reading about.I really want to thank everyone on here again for tuning your journies into handbooks of inspiration I am so inspired... |

Rep Power: 13 | | ok so the elliptical is a world diffrent from the cycle! I am so worn out...had a nice workout with my sister in law, but now I remember why I put it in the shed to begin with.
Didnt stand on the scale today...maybe a peek in the morning?!? Besides I am feeling less than perky and I wouldnt wanna see any unpleasant numbers.
I had two salads today...with salmon, and plenty of coffee. I am at about 1000 calories. I have done alot more excersize that usual. But I am feeling it! |

Rep Power: 43 | | You are doing amazing things.
I hope you don't mind me wondering if you are getting enough food and calories now. You didn't stop at 1000 cals did you? You do include some complex carbs? (They sooo help you keep on track in the long term.)
Congratulations on all your efforts. |

Rep Power: 13 | | To tell you the truth felici...Im not sure what a complex carb is exactly!
But I am getting around 1100-1200 calories a day...pretty much the same thing everyday...salad with lots of mixed veggies...celery broccli ect. and some sort of fish/seafood on top. And a bannana or apple something of that sort. No dressing at all...never thought I would say that!
I am trying to read more and understand but once you read and read it all starts to kinda run together...I am keeping a journal of all my food and the information I find on each item... calories carbs ect...
How many calories should I be getting? I appreciate all information at this point, I have alot to learn! Complex carbs are in veggies right? |
