Rep Power: 16 | | Doesn't your gym have a scale?
As for Cod... if you hate it, eat something else! You need to be eating foods you can enjoy, and chicken or salmon might be more to your tastes. Although there is one (sort of) benefit to eating foods you don't like: When you stop, you feel better. :P |

The thing about medical scales is they have to be calibrated regularly, and ours isn't so people tend not to use it. The last time I weighed myself on it I was 157. Nice compliment, just the same! One of the down sides to having a student-run gym.
I hate all fish, but I'm supposed to eat it once a week. I have ulcerative colitis (an inflammatory bowel disease), so I have to follow certain dietary guidelines, which is the ONLY reason I eat fish. lol I take seal oil capsules a few times a week as well for the omega fatty acids, but it's the meat itself that is helpful to me.

Rep Power: 22 | | I had a fantastic workout at the gym yesterday afternoon. I ran for a little longer than usual, but I didn't increase my speed. It's nice to feel some progress though. I also got an 80 min walk in last night. So yesterday was a productive day.
I'm going out for supper with my girlfriends tonight, so wish me luck! I'll be sure to make a smart choice and to not overeat. I'll post what I've eaten so far today. I didn't get out of bed until 10:30 this morning, so I had a late breakfast and cancelled out lunch.
Breakfast/Lunch: Special K Red Berries cereal w/ skim milk & cran-grape juice
Snack: 1/2 banana and a plum
I've only had one large glass of water so far today! Better start chuggin'! |

Originally Posted by M2M Be sure to keep not to let those calories get too low and drink that water! | Thanks for the encouragement! I find it really hard to eat often enough sometimes. I really should be eating 5 times a day, but it's usually 4. I'm gonna have to work on that.
So last night was sort of bad, but it could have been worse. Here's what I ate for supper:
1/2 bowl linguine chicken tetrazzini
Small plate of Caesar salad
1/2 6-inch mini garlic loaf
I should have steered clear of the bread altogether. A mini loaf came with my meal and I loooove garlic bread, so I caved and ate half of it. On the bright side, I didn't take the other half home with me because I knew I should just stay away from it. We got a large salad between us, and I only ate one tiny plate of it because I'm aware that Caesar dressing is straight from the calorie-devil himself. I ate half of my pasta and took the other half home, which I had for lunch today. So like I said, it was bad but it could have been worse. Normally I would have eaten until I was too full to eat anymore. But I refused to let myself get to that point.
I'll be back this evening with my food for today! |

Rep Power: 83 | | | The weekends are good reminders of what life is really like - that things come up and can send the best laid plans into a whirlwind - we just pick ourselves up and move on.
One day at a time! |

That evil place with the unlimited salad and bread. I still can't believe I didn't take advantage. Good for me. lol |

Rep Power: 22 | | | Update Here's my diet for today. I haven't eaten supper yet, but I'll put it here anyway.
Breakfast: Special K Red Berries cereal w/ skim milk & cran-grape juice
Snack: Mixed fruit
Lunch: Smoked turkey & cheese sandwich on whole wheat
Snack: Granola bar
Supper: Ground beef stir-fry on white rice
When I finish off my box of white rice I'm going to start buying brown. I switched over to eating all whole wheat stuff 2 1/2 years ago but I stuck to the white rice. I've never bought brown rice before because it takes so long to cook, but I noticed one at the grocery store that cooks in 20 mins!
I slacked off on working out Sunday and yesterday. I have an excuse for Sunday... we had a HUGE storm. But yesterday was just laziness. I'm going out for a long walk this evening and working out extra long tomorrow to make up for it. |

Rep Power: 22 | | | Reward! I forgot to mention that Matt and I have set a mini- goal that we get a reward for reaching. When I've lost a total of 7 lbs (163 lbs) and he's lost a total of 10 lbs (210 lbs) we get to order pizza for supper! We don't get to pig out though, which is only fair. But we both love pizza and we used to order pizza fairly often. So it's a fitting reward! It will suck if one of us reaches our mini- goal long before the other and has to wait though. Haha Just 3 more lbs for me and 5 more for him! Should occur sometime next month.

I found for me, that I couldn't 'reward' myself with food - if I want pizza, I just have to make arrangements in my calorie range and squeeze it in.
Now...a full message - there's a reward I could get in to
