Oh yes! I think that's a reward we could all enjoy.
I'm a little worried about the "slippery slope" aspect of this reward. I'm afraid the food rewards will start occuring too often or will be used as an excuse to overeat. We decided that it had to be eaten as a meal, not as an extra meal at 11 pm when we've already eaten plenty of calories that day. I'll let you all know how it goes, and count on you to keep my on my toes!

Oh, I let snowballs happen - the best we can do is get on track quickly and move on.

Planning a meal sure beats letting them sneak up on you

You'll do well!

The thing is, I've never been much of an overeater. So I'm not worried about going toooo overboard. But there's still the chance I could go a bit too far.

I don't doubt that for a second!

We had a huge storm overnight and for most of the day, so the university was closed. Which was cool because it meant I didn't have class, but it also wasn't cool because it means I didn't get to go to the AIDS Commitee or the gym! And of course, storm = no walk. So I did about 20 mins of Tae Bo but my foot started acting up. I injured my foot last year and had to have several months of physio. I don't find general exercise bothers it, but Tae Bo sometimes does because there's a lot of one-foot weightbearing. It's the first time it's bothered me in quite a while though. So I was forced to cut the Tae Bo short. A nurse CANNOT afford to injure her foot!

Here's what I ate on this cozy snow day:
Breakfast: Special K Red Berries cereal w/ skim milk & cran-grape juice
Snack: Plum
Lunch: Leftover ground beef stirfry
Snack: 1/2 banana
Supper: Chicken fettucine alfredo (I ate a very small serving, since the alfredo sauce is pretty calorific)

Just poppin in to wish you a wonderful day, youre doing so great, youre lucky, i cant have fettuccini because i have NO self control and i would eat about 5 pounds of it!!if you can reward yourself with pizza and not have 12 peices, go for it, but if you think youll end up eating too much, you should go buy yourself a new shirt or something instead, because ill tell you, i had a reward night, "youll know that because you read my diary" and man it screwed me up, i felt like crap for the next 3 days, and am just now getting over it LOL but i have like 5 peices of pizza and like 4 drinks "rasberry vodka and lemonade, it was crystal ligfht lemonade though LOL" but it did depress me, i wont let myself do it again because now i know, maybe next time ill try for 1 peice. HAHA, thats what i said last time, anyway you look like you have mega self control so enjoy!!!

He sure is! I used to find it nearly impossible to keep up, but now I don't find it as bad. I still skip some of the double-times though because I'm afraid of over-extending. The storm DID pass and we had a beautiful day yesterday and a beautiful day today until around 4:30, then we got hit again! But this is only supposed to last a few hours.

Thanks for your compliments on my self control. You're a sweetie! And trust me, I will take your advice and start going for material rewards if this pizza reward turns out to be a disaster.

1/4 of the way there!

I weighed myself today and I'm down another 1.6 lbs! I'm only gonna move my ticker 1lb until I'm down a full 2lbs though. Haha So, I'm 1/4 of the way to my goal. It's so exciting!
I didn't post my food or exercise yesterday. I went to the gym and played about 40 mins of badminton and walked for 20 mins. I ended up eating baked Doritos again, but I don't feel as bad this time. Rather than fearfully ignoring the nutrition info, I decided to look this time. I ate 1/2 a pack (16 g) which is 70 cals and 1.75 g of fat. So it's really not that scary.
Yesterday-
Breakfast: Banana, blueberry yogurt and cran-grape juice
Lunch: 6-inch sweet onion chicken teryaki sub from Subway
Snack: 1/2 pack baked Doritos
Supper: Special K Red Berries cereal w/ skim milk (I had a meeting from 6-9 so I just gulped down a bowl of cereal before I left)
Snack: Mixed fruit

Today -
Breakfast: Flax & Fibre Crunch cereal w/ skim milk
Lunch: Turkey sandwich on whole wheat
Snack: Banana
Supper: Mac & cheese

Girls Night Out

A quick post to write out what I've eaten today. And also to ask you all to keep your fingers crossed for me... I'm going out with my girlfriends tonight and I hope that doesn't lead to overindulgence!
I was bad today and skipped breakfast. I was in a hurry to get to the store to pick up some things I needed for a presentation on Monday. So, I just left the house without eating. Not good, I know. And not typical of me at all. I'm a big advocate of breakfast!
"Brunch": Special K Red Berries cereal w/ skim milk and orange juice
Snack: Broccoli & cauliflower florets w/ ranch dip
Supper: 1/2 salmon fillet, mixed veggies, kiwi, 5 crackers
