Rep Power: 0 | | | My diary: hunger pangs and mood swings I am trying to cut back on calories. I made whole wheat spaghetti for lunch and a yummy veggie soup for supper. I have been having a lot of mood swings today. My hubby and I got in an argument and my 4 year old wasn't feeling well and kept throwing temper tantrums. I was going to make veggies and deer for supper but ended up burning the deer meat because of the argument we all had. So supper ended up being totally different than what I had planned.I had to improvise at the last minute. I have been having a lot of hunger pangs.
I did allow myself to have 2 whole wheat pb and reduced sugar jelly sandwiches. I also went to the store and bought some sugar free honey lemon green tea as I know it is supposed to help with weight loss. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Upset with myself I totally blew my diet today. I messed up. My 4 year old wanted Cici's pizza for supper and because he has been sick...to cheer him up, we went. It wasn't going was so bad but it is like my body was in starvation mode or something. I just kept eating because I was so hungry then I came out of there and I am so mad at myself. That was like self-sabotage. Oh wel, tomorrow is a new day. I will try again. |

Rep Power: 51 | | Hi Linda Have you started keeping track of your calories? And when you are eating? Maybe you just need to adjust a little, then you wouldn't be starving at dinnertime.
And you're totally right, tomorrow is a new day. Just try not to let one messed up meal wreck the whole day, ok? |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Better day I did better today. I am trying to cut out snacking and just do 3 meals a day. I had a coffee and Atkins bar for breakfast, small bowl pasta for lunch and allowed a splurge at supper with a sandwich and small fry. I think I will do better if I allow myself a little bit of the things that I like. So I allowed for the fry and cut myself some slack on that. I am also trying to get more sleep because I heard that if you get enough rest, you will lose weight easier. Had to reschedule my gastroenterology appointment because my car isn't running the greatest but that was a blessing in disguise because I need to lose more weight before I go up there and save myself a lecture. Doctors always make weight loss sound so easy but it's not especially if you take corticosteroids for asthma because they make you feel more hungry. I am planning on going Friday and buying a membership to the local physical therapy center gym so I can start working out there. |

Rep Power: 0 | | | Thirsty, thirsty, thirsty Today was an ok day but for some reason,I could not get enough to drink. I would drink a glass of water, turn around and need another one. I wondered if this is something that is common because I never heard of diet changes causing a person to be more thirsty. I did pretty good today when my son threw an hour long temper tantrum. I did not go on an eating binge as I would have before. I was proud of myself for that. I had scrambled eggs for breakast,a toaster strudel (my splurge for the day),chicken and potatoes for lunch and whole wheat rotini in pesto sauce for supper. I got hungry about 9 so did have a light yogurt before I got ready and went to bed. I took my calcium pill for the day and iron and vitamin k. Today it wasn't really hunger pangs but felt as if I could drink a well. |

Rep Power: 16 | | Be careful about the thirstiness, if you find yourself thirsty no matter how much you drink, and it lasts for days or weeks, then consider going to a doctor. For me, it was one of many indicators that I was diabetic and didn't know it. I'm not trying to throw a scare in you, but if it is really strange like that, consider checking with a doctor.
Does the Pizza place have a salad bar?
If so, consider getting it, just so you can eat as much as you want THERE, instead of from the pizza. If not, find out if they have any kind of veggie snacks, and get them instead. Or request tomato and bell peppers for your pizza, and get them on the side; you can munch on them after you get a slice or two in you.
There's a lot of tricks to learn, and you'll need to figure out which ones work for you, but it's great to see you making an effort.
