Yeah...you look absolutely fabulous now, I can't imagine how good you'll look when you reach your goal! Keep up the great work!
Thanks very much for your kind words.
So this week is an off week from training. Good too, I have a lot of work to get caught up on. There will be no weights or cardio, only good nutrition.
Me thinks you boys have invaded from that parent site over there
Steve - having read what you wrote about definition, gyms, building muscle; I don't worry about 'building' muscle or bulking up but I definitely want a higher muscle mass to fat ratio and I want the muscle I do have to be toned and defined once I find it again! However, I hate gyms. I don't particularly like "working out" I do like feeling like I'm playing (it's why I love martial arts and why I like my cardio OUTside).
Currently, I do my cardio 6 days a week, and 4 days a week, I have been doing some simple weight resistence exercises (tricep bench dips, push ups, squats, lunges, abductions, kick backs, etc) very basic stuff.
Do you think I'll have to kick that up a notch if I want better body definition?
That must be awesome taking time off after working so hard! How often do you decide to take an "off week"?
It really depends on my goals at the time. Right now I am "bulking" and my resistance training sessions are very intense, so I take a week off on average every 8-10 weeks, or whenever my body tells me to take a break.
Sometimes, and this again depends on the circumstances, I will do a deload week, where either intensity, or volume, or both, are reduced.

It is tough to say. If you were my paying client, I would definitely tell you to kick it up a notch. Well, maybe not kick it up, but re-structure the program a bit.
That said, if your diet is fine-tuned and you are getting the necessary protein in, you should be able to maintain what muscle you have. I mean, you will surely lose some of it, but nothing that will cause any real damage or that you could not regain once you reached your weight loss goals.
Remember, toning is a function of fat loss. It really has nothing to do with what happens to the muscles. They are just there, waiting to be exposed.
You are amazing! What a hottie. I admit to being one of the low cal people. 1200 is my limit. I do plan to up the cals once I get to my goal weight and also seriously weight train to get lots of definition for summer.
I wish you well -- I'll be around to keep up on your progress. Have a great day!

Hello Adriana, thank you very much. You look very beautiful yourself. I could go on and on about low cal dieting and what it does to your body, but I think I have done it already numerous times on this forum. When you are ready to repair your metabolism and hit the weights seriously, drop me a PM or come and see me here.
Ok. I see you are offering advice, so I am going to ask for some. I have been working out for a good long while, but I am trying to lose 13 lbs. Can't seam to get them to budge. I eat 1200-1500 cals a day depending on how hungry I am. Currently I have upped the exercise to 2 hrs 5 days a week. Mostly cardio and some lite weight training. I DO NOT want to bulk up. So what should I do to lose some lbs? Any ideas? I may be getting too much sodium also, I am starting to work on that. Oh and I drink at least 64 oz of water everyday. Any ideas?
