I was there once -and got scared by the really bad design of entirely too many bad pages (though someone did point out a firefox plug in that gets rid of all teh crappy myspace code that people use )- i could feel the brain cells just disengrating...
I don't do myspace either though I've had a few people tell me that my company should get a page. I don't know why... I suppose hits, but just doesn't seem my style.
myspace....its sad really....it's become such a world of it's own on the social front...I can't tell you how many times one of the girls in the office has been like "and then his ex gf left this really flirty comment on his myspace"

One of the guys I work with -does a lot of work with bands.. and most clubs won't book bands unless they have a myspace page with tons of friends... it's a way of getting people in the clubs...
I can't see it helping your business much... you'd probably get a better class of people onf acebook - though that's as annoying as all giddyup as well..
Yea, I am on facebook somehow. An old friend invited me to her page and in a matter of minutes, PRESTO, I had a page. Since then I've gotten requests from all sorts of people I was never close with to 'be friends.'
Interesting.
I don't ever log in.
I think I'll stick with my humble forum life here on the world wide web.
In all honesty - as your friend (here and on facebook too your potential clients are going to come from people who have a relationship with you currently - doesn't matter whether it's an online medium or real life... or know of you thru someone you are currently working with...
You've got enough of an online presence and have proven yourself to be legit... that you've got a big pool to fish from .
Thanks Mal. Although I hate the idea of fishing for clients...
I know you didn't mean it like this but I will never whore out my services. I've watched some trainers I know go from having a positive web presence to almost no interaction outside the confines of their businesses.
