Rep Power: 182 | | I've been away for a week or so. I was in ATL for a small family vacation which was great. I got back Sunday morning, early. Caught a few hours of sleep then woke up and picked up my puppy. Since then, he's been keeping me quite busy.
I did make it to the gym yesterday for the first time in a while. Did an upper body day that looked something like:
Barbell Bench - 2x5, 1x7
Machine Flys - 3x15
Single Arm DB Bench Press - 2x12
Pullups - 3x6
Cable Rows - 2x8 @ a slow tempo of 531 |

Rep Power: 182 | | I posted a bunch of pics in my journal over on my forum that include the puppy and pics of my recent pic in ATL. I'd post them here but we don't allow for embedded pics from the net: forum-body-improvements.com |

I absolutely love him.
It is a chocolate lab. They eyes will change color as he ages. They're born with blue eyes but they typically change to brown.
This dog's however, will change to green which is still badass if you ask me. |

Um, yeah, that is still badass! Our German Short-Haired Pointer has YELLOW eyes. They are always usually brown but we got a special doggy. I know this isn't Dog Forum, but I thought I'd give you a peek..... |

They are such smart dogs and he is so loyal and loving! By the way, I just wanted to say I have taken a lot of your advice around here from your stickies and your forum and I'm pleased to report that I'm down 30 pounds from October! I just posted pics in my Journal if you want a looksie.... |

Rep Power: 182 | | | We considered buying two labs right off the bat. I'm not sure what made us decide not to. At this point though, I think we would've had our hands full. We recently purchased the perfect home for these types of dogs though... lots of land, very secluded, 3 streams running through the property, etc.
He's in doggy heaven and I believe next summer we'll add another to the family.
Re: your note about your progress and my advice... I really appreciate you mentioning this. I'll check the pics out for sure! It's always nice to hear about people who have applied some of what I discuss around here.
Thanks. |

Thanks. | Oh yeah, labs are so hyper, especially when they are puppies. That is so awesome you guys have a great piece of land like that! Hopefully, one day, we can get something like that! Well, when you do get another pup, more pics are always great....
No problem and hopefully there will be some "afters" not too far away... I want to look like those women on the Oxygen magazine covers... maybe another six months... |

Rep Power: 182 | | | I used to post over on the Oxygen Magazine forum. I really can't stand that magazine. Well, I can't stand any magazines in general. That said, I know the look you're going for. There are a few women on my forum who have that look.
But it was built over a long time. That's for sure. Just stay consistent and manage your expectations accordingly. You don't fail until you stop. |

I absolutely know what you mean. I know it's going to take a lot of clean eating and consistent weight training to achieve that, so I am going to stay patient. I just don't want to be 'skinny fat', which is how I feel right now. |

Rep Power: 182 | | My physique often looks like hell, from my perspective, until the very end of a fat loss plan. It's almost as if it happens overnight. I work my ass off for a number of months and not much changes and then presto! Things happen.
Strange but it's how it typically goes down for me.
Also, it's important to note my physique is the culmination of many cycles of gaining muscle and losing fat... alternating between the two. If I would've lost fat initially and stopped there, I would've looked like hell. |

GOT!!!! A CUTE GIRL CHOCOLATE LAB!!!! I couldn't resist!!! We have a new addition to our family and when I can get her to hold still, I will send you a pic! She is doing great... with our other dog, she went to bed fine and hasn't barked our yipped once!
