Jades Weightloss Blog

i believe working with a team is important becos it motivates you to do better, i hope when i fall u all pick me up. ive decided out of 12 years of trying to lose weight that im at my heaviest and i need to do something or im a gonner. today ive had 1/3 cup of oats, fat free milk and an apple. ive also had 2 cups of camomile tea and so far so good, the problem is when i get home will i behave. i have so much tempting things in my fridge, i hope i can pass them and make myself a low fat dinner with no rice or bread. i also need to quit those two they are the devil in my life

Rice and bread will be hard. They are on me! But you can do it. After reading others diaries in this forum you will come up with some yummy dinners and what-not.
You're doing good so far with your day!

also remember that eating brown rice and whole wheat bread instead of regular white rice and white bread will help alot with it! I have found this bread, it's Peppridge Farm light style wheat - and it's only 45 calories a slice! so it's perfect for sandwhiches and toast and all of that stuff... =)

oh - and Welcome! I"m glad you're here and I hope we can help support you in whatever ways you need =)

I found a bread that i believe is called baryonskys or something like that... funky name but the whole wheat is exactly that and has 3 gr of fiber in each slice and is nice and filling. I find that the best way for me to get control is to cut all white breads, sugars, simple carbs out of my diet for at least a week to two..just to get the cravings to go away..then just try to concentrate on high fiber...and lots of veggies and lean meats, fruits..and drink drink drink your water.

thnx for all the bread advice

in south africa it is quite difficult to locate the breads you have all mentioned I know wholewheat bread is good and is available, obviously better than the whites, i think i will try brown rice i went shopping for veggies yesterday and saw it in one of the isles. my question is if something has 89.1g carbs is it good or bad? how much carbs can one safely consume in a day.
well for dinner i had mushrooms and spinache with rice noodles the rice noodles had 89.1g carbs and the total fat content was 0.09g per 100g. i tried to replace rice with the noodles is this a smart move or not. you will all be glad to know i did not cheat and im proud and happy you all support me thank you

I think noodles are as bad as rice, but I'm not sure.
South Africa huh? Wow we have people on this forum from all over. It's amazing.
I'm glad you have not binged. That's another one of my down falls. Water helps you stay away from binging cause it keeps you full. I also chew gum, although I heard that could make you more hungry, it seems to keep my mouth busy. And by the time I've chewed gum all day my mouth is too tired to eat food ! LOL Silly huh ?

Jade, welcome! I'm not sure about noodles vs. rice, I just try to do portion control.
I'm with Christina, I've taken to chewing gum. But I chew it so that my mouth already has food in it and I won't "graze" through the kitchen clean-up.
Good luck and I'm looking forward to your posts!

Why Have I Carried All This Extra Weight On Me Is Beyond Me, I Looked At Myself In The Mirror And I Couldnt Understand. Ive Destroyed My Body, I Remember I Would Eat And Fill My Bowl With Food And Eat Chicken Like There Was No Tommorow And I Mean Greasy Chicken. Kfc That Is My Weakness. I Would Eat Next To Everything At A Time. I Love Cheese And I Love Bread And I Stuffed Myself With All These Things Until My Tummy Was So Full That I Had To Lay Down And Rest And Then The Guilt Would Come. You Know What Hurts, That I Cant Fit Into Anything Anymore Anf That Im Always Uncomfortable With My Stomache Area, I Always Have To Pull My Clothes Down Every Minute And Cover Up Whats Showing. Im Glad I Found This Forum, Im Glad I Took The CommitMENT In My Life To Lose Weight And I Pray I ReacH My Goal, I Have A Long Way To Go But I Will Keep At It As Long As I Can
